This wand was eight and three quarters inches long, made of yew with a unicorn hair core. It was created by Garrick Ollivander sometime prior to 31 July, 1991, who deemed it a powerful wand. He offered it to Harry Potter when he was picking out his first wand, but the two were not compatible.

Behind the scenesEdit

• If Harry had been chosen by this wand, he would have had a wand with the same wood as Voldemort rather than one with the same core. However, it is unlikely that the two wands had wood from the same tree, so they would not have been "brothers" as the one that eventually picked Harry would be to Voldemort's.
