The yellow Special Jinx is one of the four Special Jinxes, alongside the red, the blue and the green Special Jinxes.

This jinx emmits a large blast of yellow light from the tip of the caster's wand, which makes no noise at all. Of all the Special Jinxes this one seems to be the only that makes no noise, making it more subtle and hard to dodge — it is, for this reason, used in dueling.^[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

• The Special Jinxes seem each to represent one of the Hogwarts Houses through their colour and effect. This jinx seems to match Hufflepuff, not only because of its yellow colour, but also for being silent (quietness and friendliness being distinctive traits of students from that House).
