A Wylex standard consumer unit is a consumer unit produced by Electrium under their Wylex brand. It distributes electricity to the various outlets in a Muggle home. The Dursleys owned one of these units, keeping it installed in the cupboard underneath their staircase.
Behind the scenes
- The Catalogue number for this specific unit is either NH804 or NHRS804. But the presence of a mains switch suggests the former.
- Electrium no longer manufacture this type and has since been replaced by the NM804/NMRS804 in the Wylex catalogue.
