|Woodcuts and engravings of early Hogwarts students|
Hogwarts Archives (possibly)
- "As we know from early historical accounts, and from the evidence of early woodcuts and engravings, Hogwarts students used to arrive at school in any manner that caught their fancy."
These sets of woodcuts and engravings were made sometime between 993 and 1692, and showed Hogwarts students heading for Hogwarts Castle on the begining of the school term, in a time before the inception of the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy in 1692.
They depicted students riding broomsticks across the country (which proved a difficult task when carrying trunks and pets), others commandeering enchanted carts and carriages, others attempting to Apparate, others riding a large variety of magical creatures.
