Wood was the surname of a wizarding[1] family of unknown blood status. At some point before the 15th century, possibly as result of a Squib descendant, the family split into two branches: a magical and non-magical branch.
Known family members[]
- Eunon Blackwood — originally called Eunon Wood; later changed his name. A Muggle-born Dark wizard supposedly responsible for the Blackwood maze in the 15th century.[2]
- Artemisia Blackwood (née Black – wife of Eunon Blackwood.[2]
- Lysandra Blackwood – daughter of Eunon and Artemisia Blackwood.[2]
- Mr Wood — Oliver's father[3]
- Mrs Wood — Oliver's mother[3]
- Oliver Wood — a Gryffindor student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the 1990s[4]; later became a reserve Keeper for Puddlemere United.
