WWMCSA

The fifth and last award of Gilderoy Lockhart.

Witch Weekly's Most Charming Smile Award is an award given out by Witch Weekly Magazine regularly. Gilderoy Lockhart won this award five times. The award is given out with a diploma. The Witches' League, headed by Lady Wimborne, was in charge of handing out these diplomas.

Behind the scenes

  • This is the only award that Lockhart has won fairly and honestly, as the others he merely stole credits and forged data to achieve.
  • The organisation Witches' League is mentioned only on this award certificate seen in the "Lockhart's Office" feature on Disc 2 of the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets DVD. The prop award certificate appears to be partially constructed from a membership certificate for a real historical organisation called the Ladies' League for the Defence of the Reformed Faith of the Church of England. This group was founded in 1899 by a Lady Wimborne and advocated against ritualism in the Anglican Church.[1] Considentally the Ladies' League and the Defence of the Reformed Faith, called as Defence Promotion of the Reformed Faith, were both mentioned on same certificate. It is unknown if this is a mistake or not
