The West Tower battlements were located on the topmost floor of the West Tower at Hogwarts Castle. After rescuing Sirius Black from Filius Flitwick's office, Harry Potter and Hermione Granger left for the hospital wing via a door at the battlements. They descended one staircase, then down another, and then were able to get to the hospital just before Albus Dumbledore magically sealed it^[1].

Behind the scenesEdit

• In the films and games this floor can only be entered through the top of the West Tower and only have one window.

In the third film and game this area wasn't used during the rescue of Sirius Black. Instead Harry and Hermione used Buckbeak the Hippogriff to fly to the Dark Tower to the topmost cell to rescue Sirius and then flew to the Clock Tower Courtyard to set Buckbeak and Sirius free. After that they ran through the Clock Tower, through the portrait and upstairs through the Grand Staircase until they landed outside the Hospital Wing where Albus Dumbledore was about to seal the door.
