West Ham United Football Club is a sports team based in London.[1] Dean Thomas, a half-blood wizard raised in an all-Muggle home, was a fan of this club. He hung a poster of them over his bed in the Gryffindor boys' dormitory at the beginning of his first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Ron Weasley, a pure-blood wizard, did not understand the appeal of football, and was once caught by Harry Potter poking Dean's poster, attempting to make the players move as pictures did in magical posters.
