During the 1994-1995 school year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Peeves the Poltergeist threw water balloons, balloons filled with water, at most of the students at the beginning of the year. Professor McGonagall almost slipped and fell when Peeves was chucking the water balloons down at the students.

Behind the scenes

In the Nintendo DS version of LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7, the trio used water balloons to make the Fiendfyre wash away, but in the book the Fiendfyre cannot be doused by water.
