A viola is a bowed string instrument. It is slightly larger than a violin and produces a deeper sound.[1]
Kay Hurwitz, a British violist, gave a performance of Mozart's Sinfonia Concertanti with her husband Emanuel, a violinist, and the Dollis Chamber Ensemble on Sunday 7 May in a year prior to 1997.[2]
