- — Description.[src]
This charm is used to turn vinegar into wine. It was taught by Filius Flitwick, the Charms professor, to the sixth year students in the 1996–1997 school year. If cast incorrectly, said vinegar may turn into ice, or else the flask which contains the vinegar may explode, as happened when Harry and Ron attempted to cast it.

Behind the scenes
- Although taught in Charms, this spell changes one thing into another, rather than adding properties to it, so it technically has the qualities of a transfiguration spell.
