Etymology
The name Vindictus is derived from the Latin vindicta ("revenge") and the surname Viridian from the Latin viridis ("green").

- In the films and video games there's a portrait of someone called "Vindictus Veridian". This may be a misspelling of Vindictus Viridian, however, it is currently unknown if the two are to be taken as the same person or not.
