Very Important Wizard (abbreviated V.I.W.) is most likely the wizarding equivalent of the Muggle term Very Important Person. V.I.W. is a term used to refer to wizards who are accorded special privileges due to his or her status or importance. Azkaban Prison is run by a group of Very Important Wizards, the Azkaban Security Officials and Very Important Wizards.[1] In 1996, the Daily Prophet gave their first ten "lucky readers" a V.I.W. backstage pass for a Spellbound and a Madame Bletchley concert.
