(Erased comma after "finds" because it shouldn't be there. Also, due to the nature of the name "Gregorovitch," we know that he is a male. The name would be "Gregorovna" if it were a female.) |

Veela hair was a material from the head of a Veela that could be used to comprise the core of a wand.[1]
Known wands
Fleur Delacour, a part-Veela witch, owned a Veela hair wand. The hair for her wand was donated by her grandmother. The wand was 9½ inches long, made of rosewood and was described by Garrick Ollivander as being "inflexible".[1]
Cassandra Vole, a Slytherin student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the 21st century, owned a wand containing a Veela hair core. Cassandra was also part-Veela.[2]
Behind the scenes
- In Slavic mythology, some legends claim that if even one of a Veela's hairs is plucked, she will either die or be forced to change into a non-human shape.
- It is possible that Gabrielle Delacour, sister of Fleur, also owns a Veela hair wand, since it is probable that her grandmother was willing to donate another hair for Gabrielle just as she did for Fleur.
- It is possible that Apolline Delacour, mother of Fleur and Gabrielle, also possesses a Veela hair wand since it is likely that her mother was willing to donate a hair for her as well.
- Since Britain's chief wandmaker, Garrick Ollivander, finds that Veela hair cores make for "temperamental" wands, it is likely that there are few Veela hair wands made in Britain. Since the only known Veela hair wand is from France, it is likely that there is a wandmaker from central Europe, possibly Cosme Acajor or Gregorovitch, who used Veela hairs as the cores in his wands. It is unknown who created Cassandra's wand.
- Due to the possibility of their grandmother donating another hair, it is highly possible that Fleur and Gabrielle's wands could trigger Priori Incantatem if they ever found themselves locked in magical combat.
- Notably, the only individuals who were known to have a Veela hair-core wand had Veela ancestry.
