A vampire hunter is presumably someone who hunts vampires as a profession,[1] although killing vampires is technically illegal according to paragraph twelve of the Guidelines for the Treatment of Non-Wizard Part-Humans.[2] During the Quidditch World Cup in 1994 an unidentified wizard was trying to impress a group of Veelas and claimed to be a vampire hunter who had killed at least ninety vampires thus far.[1] It is doubtful that this individual was in fact a vampire hunter, and was probably only saying such to impress the Veelas.
