A vacuum cleaner is a Muggle device used to clean carpets. An Ectobuster is a type of vacuum cleaner and Arthur Weasley had charmed several to become alive. An ugly vacuum cleaner was seen in a Hogwarts courtyard. It was sucking all the pieces of plants up after they were destroyed. A vacuum cleaner is found in the Muggle Studies Classroom and in the Muggle Studies showroom.
In 1991, Petunia Dursley stopped coming into what had become Harry's room to vacuum because she was scared of him now that he knew he was a wizard, much to his relief.
