I have just nominated Quidditch pitch to become a featured article. Is it possible for you to expand it a bit and clean it up. When you have finished expanding it is it possible you can vote it to become a featured article. Could you please tell me if you are able to do so? Cheers! --- Madam Hooch(Which Broomstick)
How do you upload them? Could you teach me? Cheers! -- Hellabore
Uploading GIF is not difficult. It is simple as uploading .JPG files or any other image's format. Unless you are asking on how i created those GIF? --ÈnŔîčö (Send me an Owl!) 09:44, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
Hey You-Know-Who. Were currently holding a vote to decide Tom Riddle's main image. Please vote for your favourite, cheers. Jayce CarverTalk 10:29, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
Hey Enrico. Could you do me a favour and write the Dolores Umbridge relashionships section at Project Fred Weasley. Also there, could you vote for Fred's main image. Thanks. -- Madam Hooch(Which Broomstick)
Hi Enrico. If you could go through the article and add links and citations where needed, we could get Fred's article up to Harry Potter status. Thanks a million!--Timbira(Luna Lovegood) 14:16, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Ducking over to the Robot Wars Wiki, where I need help creating a specific moving image? Once there, I can give you more specifics. Thanks. ToonGanondorf(tc)
Sorry! I don't know about the Robot Wars. --ÈnŔîčö (Send me an Owl!) 16:58, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
You don't have to know anything, just upload a specific moving file for me over there. ToonGanondorf(tc) 02:28, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
Could you please help out a fellow Ravenclaw? I've had this Wiki for a few weeks but I am still figuring out how to do almost everything. I mean, I just figured out the userboxes yesterday.
Please & thank you,

Umm, I guess like with the House Points game, getting all the userboxes into one thing...stuff like that I guess...
Yes, it is possible... I'm not sure if is an sysop-only feature, but I do see a "Move" button over files. -- Seth Cooperowl post! 16:50, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
Are you into parkour then? I probably can't teach you anything, as I've only recently started learning myself. If you are interestead you should check out www.3RUN.co.uk, they have video tutorials showing you how to do certain moves. Some of the videos have Sam Parham in them, he is awesome by the way, I was very lucky to meet him. Jayden Matthews 18:03, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
Your welcome. That's alright, I can hardly pretend to be an expert anyway, I'm on my third broken bone this year! Take care. Jayden Matthews 10:11, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
I was actually looking for a new image of Thorfinn Rowle, so I typed his name into google. I saw that image of Harry and thought, yep that's much better than the current one. I didn't find an image of Rowle, but, oh well. Do you know if Yaxley was in the HBP movie. I know he was cast, but I don't remeber seeing him. Jayden Matthews 07:34, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
I actually check that page often & there's never anything there. & besides fixing redirects is what I'm best at. I just figured that w/ the redirects fixed then if you click on a certain article you don't get the typical annoying "Redirected from" thing at the top of the page. I've done that on many other Wikis and they all think there's nothing wrong with it at all. I can edit in other way (obviously) but my specialty is fixing redirects. -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!!) 18:22, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
Unfortunately, Jayden Matthews has recently suffered a loss in his family. We've made a Condolences Card for him, and we'd like to get as many people to sign it as we can. Thank you. - Nick O'Demus 19:35, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
On August 12, I noticed there wasn't an article on the Defense Against the Dark Arts book from PoA, so I uploaded a picture of the book and then wrote the article. It was only when I was going through Category:Images of books three weeks later that I noticed there was already a picture of the book on the site. If I'd known about that pre-existing file beforehand, I could've uploaded a higher-resolution version over it, but I didn't, so there ended up being duplicate files. When there's two copies of the same image on a wiki, it's standard procedure to delete one of the two, and I chose to keep the file I'd uploaded over the one you had uploaded because it was the higher resolution of the two (417×386 pixels compared to 345×338 pixels). ★ Starstuff(Owl me!) 14:27, September 1, 2009 (UTC)
As you probably know, the next round of the House Points Game starts soon, and we have an issue we feel we need to resolve. Notices were sent to all of the Prefects from the last round, asking them to confirm if they intended to remain as Prefects for the new term, and unfortunately, we still haven't heard from Oread. At this point, it looks like we'll need somebody else to take over as the second Ravenclaw prefect (Seth Cooper has aleady confirmed his return). Starstuff and I feel that you and Matoro183 are the most qualified of your team members for this position, and we'd like both of you to consider this and discuss it with each other. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you. - Nick O'Demus 16:28, September 12, 2009 (UTC)
I still haven't heard from Oread or Matoro183, so I'd still like you to consider taking the position. The eligibility criteria were changed a few weeks ago so that a Prefect badge is no longer required, just as long as you're a regular and active contributor. I also thought I'd let you know that I'm pushing back the start date of the game to the 20th, as Starstuff doesn't seem to be back from her trip yet. - Nick O'Demus 18:26, September 14, 2009 (UTC)
Well, the game's formally started, and still no word from Oread or Matoro183. We really need another active Ravenclaw Prefect, and if you're willing to take on the job, let Starstuff know so she can make it official. Thanks.- Nick O'Demus 06:05, September 21, 2009 (UTC)
Restoring the text won't be enough. This guy redirected the entire article, so unless it's actually moved back, it loses the page history, and for some reason I'm getting an error message whenever I try to revert the move. I'm waiting for one of the admins to get online so I can ask them for help. - Nick O'Demus 09:36, September 14, 2009 (UTC)
Why have you edited articles pointlessly and tagged your contribution "watched." it's pointless. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Patr0nus (talk • contribs).
I know but I was only fixing some re-directs. It wasn't to try to attack your page or anything. Sorry. -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!) 13:25, September 24, 2009 (UTC)
I've started a forum on bringing the Book & Film articles to a higher level at the Wizengamot. Could you check it out, please? Thanks. QuidditchLover(My talk)(contribs) 03:10, October 5, 2009 (UTC)
I'm objecting to your revert of my edit on Underwater Secrets (soundtrack). My edit was factually correct as only the first verse is heard in the film (it's possible the rest of it may be heard in a deleted scene but it's the finished film that matters). I have put the information back. It's possible the revert may have been due to a concern regarding maintaining in-universe style, however the article is marked as being "out of universe". 23skidoo 16:45, October 19, 2009 (UTC)
I moved it in the "notes and references" section. --ÈnŔîčö DC(Send me an Owl!) 02:56, October 20, 2009 (UTC)

A lot of people (especially Starstuff and Seth Cooper) haven't gotten points for articles they created since the start. I'm trying to make a list of the ones made by the active players, but it's going to take me a little while. - Nick O'Demus 02:35, November 13, 2009 (UTC)
Okay, I've finished the list for everybody BUT Starstuff and Seth Cooper (they're going to take a bit longer. Do you want to take charge of the whole list, or just your own House's? (I've marked which ones have already gotten points, and even without Seth's, Ravenclaw's gonna rake it in) - Nick O'Demus 05:19, November 13, 2009 (UTC)
Forgot to mention, I've only counted articles and categories that were created on Sep. 15th or later, when the game was originally intended to start. I've also excluded Redirects and articles that are currently tagged for Merge, since it's unknown which version will be kept (there were only a couple). - Nick O'Demus 07:31, November 13, 2009 (UTC)
Already checked. Also, Seth's got a few more. I've added them below under Ravenclaw. - Nick O'Demus 07:38, November 13, 2009 (UTC)
If you're going to give credit back to the 14th, I've got a few more to add. - Nick O'Demus 08:12, November 13, 2009 (UTC)
Parodist was given points for 5 articles that were created in late July/early August, listed below. However, he has NOT gotten points for 4 more articles listed above (3 stubs & 1 mid-length), so the points could balance out if you changed what he was getting credit for.
Hi Enrico. Did you see all the wizard rock band articles I created? Do you think that's enough to earn some house points? Thanks. -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!!) 22:50, November 13, 2009 (UTC)
You-Know-Who, I have said it a million times now: I will NOT change the content of the information on this wiki! The proposal will NOT cause a loss of info; just a statement proving that the books and films are, as Rowling said, "separate entities". I wish you paid more attention to my posts before voting. I swear I don't know how to make it any clearer than that - the wiki would not be losing anything. My proposal is purely advantageous.--Yin&Yang 23:16, November 18, 2009 (UTC)
Did you realise you just breached policy on the vote page by listing yourself for two votes? Also, your argument makes no sense - why would Rowling be insulted by her article being called out-of-universe? She most certainly is not a character in the Harry Potter series herself so why...? I just don't see your logic. I think a lot of people are just unsure about where the new policy would take this wiki and so have the "better safe than sorry" mentality and disagree to any change. Change can be good, you know. No one said that if the policy doesn't work out, it has to be permanent. It could be just a trial. I am sure however, that if we were to test it out for a couple of weeks, we wouldn't want to undo it afterwards.--Yin&Yang 23:23, November 18, 2009 (UTC)
You-Know-Who I'm not getting mad at you for voting against my proposal - I don't work that way and I have always supported democracy. I just disliked your comment on the voting page which suggests to other voters (who may have chosen not to read the entire debate) that I would be deleting information from the wiki. That is kind of like "putting words in my mouth", or so to speak. I never said that the policy proposal would remove anything, just change a perspective is all.--Yin&Yang 23:58, November 18, 2009 (UTC)
That's the problem, though. Opinion has nothing to do with the fact that my suggestion does not include erasing 'cool information'. You may have not intended on telling other voters that it does so, but you definitely inadverdently did give that false message; and that is why I was a little annoyed. So, without further ado, could you please remove that paragraph or at least the line stating that I plan on deleting film and gaming information?--Yin&Yang 00:14, November 19, 2009 (UTC)
Comments and opinions are fine in discussion pages, but not on a voting poll. That is what creates bias and frankly, no one else has so far blatantly contradicted what I have stated as my argument. I repeat, if my policy is to pull through, I would not touch the text (unless Situation [a] is chosen, which I doubt). Really, all I want to do is label the film/game pages as non-canonical or out-of-universe. Trust me when I say, that it would make writing new articles a little more straight forward in terms of what is included in the text. Rowling's work should really be the only thing considered in-universe seeing as it's her story (not the filmakers' or game designers').--Yin&Yang 00:30, November 19, 2009 (UTC)
Ten-thousand edits on the Harry Potter Wiki makes this user a POTTER FANATIC!

The images from ElkinsPotter.com aren't props from the films, but fan-made replicas (see the FAQ). J.K. Rowling and Warner Bros. gave the site owners' special permission to use the Harry Potter trademark because it's for a non-profit exhibit to raise funds for a local charity. The images are lovely, but they're not of film props or officially-licensed products, and thus we can't use them in articles, as they don't fall under HPW:CANON. Unless we were to start an article on the Montgomery fan exhibit — HPW:CANON wouldn't be a concern, then, because the article would be out-of-universe. ★ Starstuff(Owl me!) 06:48, November 23, 2009 (UTC)
It's no problem. Let me know what you want me to do with the pictures. ★ Starstuff(Owl me!) 11:04, November 27, 2009 (UTC)

Hi, Enrico. You may, or you may not know this, but recently I've been planning an effort to redisign the Wik's skin. I would really like your opinion on this, if you don't mind? Suggestions for improvement are particularly welcome. It can be viewed here[1], although please bear in mind that it's not the finished product. Jayden Matthews 18:32, November 29, 2009 (UTC)
Do you mean the main page, or the sidebar? Jayden Matthews 18:40, November 29, 2009 (UTC)
I tried black and gray, but they both clash. So I've removed the borders and boxes completely, and left only the header bars. What do you think? Jayden Matthews 18:57, November 29, 2009 (UTC)
Also, can I ask what you think of the image behind the article itself? I'm not sure weather or not to keep it, or have it just plain colored. Jayden Matthews 19:26, November 29, 2009 (UTC)
It seems to be OK now. Jayden Matthews 19:59, November 29, 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. and yeah, that's fine. I'm starting to think that the entire 3RUN team has been cast. Just how many Snatchers does Voldemort need? Jayden Matthews 08:22, December 3, 2009 (UTC)
Well the set report from Swinley Forest counts at least twenty Snatchers. They must be doing a major action sequance to require so many Freerunners. Jayden Matthews 10:19, December 4, 2009 (UTC)
Recently, I've been working on cleaning out the Wanted Pages, and I'm almost done. There are a few left in some Users' talk pages and archives, including yours, and I'd like your permission to go in a fix them. If it's simply a misdirected link, I'll fix it, and if it's a deleted article/file/template, I'll either remove the brackets or put "nowiki" around it so it isn't active. If you'd like, when I'm finished I can leave you a full account of any changes I made. Thanks. - Nick O'Demus 17:26, December 3, 2009 (UTC)
Done. There was only 1 red link in your archive, here. There is one more red link on your user page itself, "Biography: The Harry Potter Kids", under "Video Collections and Favourites", but I left it alone as you requested in your reply. - Nick O'Demus 08:58, December 4, 2009 (UTC)
The jpg versions were leaving visible artifacts in the userboxes. I uploaded the png versions so they'd look a little cleaner. You can see a difference here: - Nick O'Demus 11:24, December 10, 2009 (UTC)
The Triwizard Tournament infobox was just showing incorrect information, and has been adjusted accordingly. It is actually using an Event infobox. As for Hogwarts Castle, I don't know why it's using an organisation infobox. Feel free to change it to a more suitable one. - Cavalier One(Wizarding Wireless Network) 10:44, December 11, 2009 (UTC)
Hey Enrico. Just to let you know, in case you wanted to update your blog - the unidentified freerunner "Mike", who was mentioned to be playing a Snatcher on Sam Parham's site is Michael Wilson. He has been joined on the Snatcher team by yet another freerunner Sam Lucas. Jayden Matthews 19:09, December 20, 2009 (UTC)
Thank you very much. I think the scene where Ron is captured after walking out on the others is going to be shown in the film, which explains why there have been so many Snatchers confirmed to be in the film, as opposed to the four that were shown in the book. Jayden Matthews 19:18, December 20, 2009 (UTC)

I don't think it'd be necessary to reduce the times for each picture, just swap around the pics in the queue so the DH pics come up sooner. - Nick O'Demus 14:41, December 23, 2009 (UTC)
Hey, on the Fluer Delacour page. You changed the "month" back to a "few days." Harry, Ron, and Hermione were captured by Snatchers during the Easter holidays and escaped the same day. They left for Gringotts May 1. THis means they were at Shell Cottage for roughly one month. THank you, Hcoknhoj 16:45, December 22, 2009 (UTC)
He sure looks like Cubison to me... But if there's doubts about it, I'll remove that pic from the article right away. -- Seth Cooperowl post! 14:54, December 24, 2009 (UTC)
Yes, it is better to do so. I shall do it straight away! -- Seth Cooperowl post! 15:01, December 24, 2009 (UTC)
I don't think it is Richard Cubison. He looks alot more like Michael Thompson, who actually has been confirmed to be in the film. The character could still be Dolohov though. Jayden Matthews 16:40, December 24, 2009 (UTC)
It's been decided to extend the House Points Game by one month past the original ending date, so Prefects will have time to review their House participants' achievements and award any final points, but without disrupting the holidays. The game will now end at 00:00 on January 20th, 2010. - Nick O'Demus 18:48, December 24, 2009 (UTC)
And thanks a bunch for uploading that picture, BTW. I'd been looking around all day for a decent Harry Potter Christmas pic to use for this, but no luck. This one was perfect. - Nick O'Demus 22:29, December 24, 2009 (UTC)
I don't know if you saw this already, but in this forum discussion, Cavalier One mentioned he'd be clearing out unused images from the wiki in the coming year. Starstuff also mentioned that there are some pics that are still useful as references, even if for some reason they can't be used in the actual articles, and created a new category to apply to those pics so they won't get deleted. Since you've uploaded so many pics, I thought you might want to check if some of this will affect you. - Nick O'Demus 08:22, December 25, 2009 (UTC)
