Please do not add the "Stubs" category to pages that do not merit it. Keep in mind when adding this category that the term "Stub" does not necessarily mean "small," but rather refers to an article that only provides the bare minimum of coverage to a subject and needs to be expanded. A disambiguation page cannot be considered a stub, as there is genrally nothing that can be added to it. Similarly, a number of our pages cover topics that have been mentioned only briefly in the Harry Potter canon, so make sure to consider whether or not there is any other information that can be added before marking an article as a stub. One other thing- we also have specific types of tags that we use for certain types of stubs, such as "creature stubs" or "spell stubs," so check to see if if might fit in one of those first before simply adding "stub." Re: Chat Mod / Helping Out
Hmm, I'm not sure if they'd let you be a chat mod yet, given that you've been registered with this wiki less than a month. Still, I suppose it's worth a shot. Good luck with it! As for helping out, yeah sure, there's plenty that still needs to be done around here. For example, there are a number of articles that already marked stubs (some reasonably so, some not so much) that could use work - feel free to jump in and help with any of those. Also, there are various pages not marked stubs that still have information that needs to be added, or mistakes that need to be corrected, etc. I'd say just look around the wiki and see what interests you to help out with. And if by some chance you do find a page or few that really is a stub, then feel free to go ahead and mark it as such if you can't improve it at the moment. Just keep in mind before adding that - "Is there anything within the Harry Potter canon that can be added to this page?" If the answer is most likely no, then it shoudln't be a stub. Right. I see BachLynn vouched for you in the nominations page, so I went ahead and changed your user rights. Congratulations. -- 00:53, January 16, 2012 (UTC)
