Hi! Good idea with the template, and one I support wholeheartedly if it leads new editors here. As you can see, one of my colleagues has already applied it to the main page. It may undergo small edits since the main page is currently under review for a redesign. Thanks for the footer, and I hope it works well. - Cavalier One 21:27, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

That's great, thank you! If you need any help with editing it, let me know -- we can move a copy of the template from Central to here, so you can change it however you want. -- Danny (talk) 21:31, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

Well, when Pig100 was blocked, all of the non-admin users disappeared from the Top Users template; and the only reason I'd ever seen that before was when a user was blocked. Sure enough, IPBlocklist showed an ip autoblocked at the same time that I noticed it. When I unblocked it, everything went back to normal, so, nothing's wrong now. It was really weird.--Matoro183 (Talk) 17:11, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, that is weird... I'll report this as another variation of the bug we've seen in other places. Just to make sure -- the Top Users template is the "Active Users" list on the Community portal? -- Danny@fandom (talk) 17:22, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
No, that's Template:Activeusers.--Matoro183 (Talk) 17:22, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
He's talking about the widget on the sidebar. -- Freakatone Talk 17:26, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Oh, okay. I don't have that widget on my sidebar, so I wasn't sure. Well, I'm glad it's okay now... I'll report this and see if we can figure out what's happening. -- Danny@fandom (talk) 17:28, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks! I was looking for a way to do that.... -- Freakatone Talk 17:38, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Preferences still places a Subst: in front of it, so the code is still written on the page----Matoro183 (Talk) 17:40, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Does it really? Let me see... it's been a long time since I played with this stuff. -- Danny@fandom (talk) 17:47, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Testing... -- Danny@fandom (talk) 17:49, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Argh, it does! How annoying. There must be a way to do it. Anyway, sorry to offer you something that doesn't work. :) I'll let you know if I figure it out. -- Danny@fandom (talk) 17:50, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Matoro183 (Talk) 17:53, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Ok, my idea worked. Placing another template into that template does it.--

Matoro183 (Talk) 17:53, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Oh, cool -- that's awesome! Then this is another triumph for the wiki way. :) -- Danny@fandom (talk) 18:09, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Please do not create anymore Signature templates and read the User policy. Unless there is a particular reason of why putting it in the template namespace is better than the user namespace? -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 20:33, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Nope -- we were just trying to figure out how it worked. I didn't realize that you already had it covered, and had a policy about it. Sorry that I broke a rule. -- Danny@fandom (talk) 22:33, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Not a big deal. Sorry if I sounded callous -- I was getting a few messages and edits in between a bunch of things I had to do today and was a bit rushed. Just wanted to tell you before we had a whole slew of templates to move. -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 04:03, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
No problem! I totally understand not wanting to see people cluttering up the wiki. :) -- Danny@fandom (talk) 05:05, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Re: Spotlight

Oh, cool. Thanks! -- Freakatone Talk 21:26, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Hey Danny, can you think of any pages that need work right now? -- T.J. (talk) 16:35, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

Hello Danny, how are you? How was your Christmas? -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!!) 22:00, December 30, 2009 (UTC)
