Posting a Quote/Dialogue

Hello Tenerezza, I saw your entries in Quote of the Week and found out that there's no source attached on the quotes you entered, Please put the source (Which Harry Potter books or films as well) you took the quotes, for example;

{{Quote|Our only chance is to use decoys. Even You-Know-Who can't split himself into seven.|Alastor Moody to Harry Potter|Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows<b>}}</b>

and the result is:

"Our only chance is to use decoys. Even You-Know-Who can't split himself into seven."
—Alastor Moody to Harry Potter[src]

you can see the small "src" in the end of the quote, and that is the "source" what i mean. --ÈnŔîčö DCRavenclawcrest(Send me an Owl!) 05:26, November 6, 2009 (UTC)

Re: Votes

The reason some votes are struck is because of the wiki's Voting policy. Part of the policy is: "Only autoconfirmed registered users with greater than 20 article edits may participate in voting." So before someone can vote, they have to meet three requirements:

  1. Registered - Users must be registered. Anonymous IP's can't vote.
  2. Autoconfirmed - Meaning the user must have been registered for at least three days. This is to prevent people from creating Sock Puppets to try to influence voting.
  3. 20 article edits - If you go to Special:Editcount and enter a username, you can see how that user's edits are categorized. Article edits are in the Main, File, Template, or Category fields. Edits to User pages, Talk pages, and Forums don't count.

I hope this helps. - Nick O'Demus 06:33, December 29, 2009 (UTC)

I'm not sure why it would say the template didn't exist, unless there was a typo. A single error can mess up the entire template, like a misspelled a word or leaving out a dash. I went ahead and straightened out the ones on the QoTW nominations page. Was there another quote you wanted to add? - Nick O'Demus 01:08, January 26, 2010 (UTC)
