I'm not totally sure. I don't even know what the song is. Sorry! Maybe an admin will be able to help you. -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!!) 15:08, November 3, 2009 (UTC)
I would assume so. But if you have questions about anything else please never hesitate to ask!! Thanks you!! -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!!) 15:20, November 3, 2009 (UTC)
Hmmm. I have searched the web for samples of the soundtrack and have not found anything like that particular part. Sorry... -- Seth Cooperowl post! 21:43, November 3, 2009 (UTC):I'm sorry, I didn't quite understand what you meant. -- Seth Cooperowl post! 22:21, November 3, 2009 (UTC)::I don't know... -- Seth Cooperowl post! 23:24, November 3, 2009 (UTC)::Maybe the title of the song you're seeking is "Secrets of the Castle", you can hear a sample of the Harry Potter soundtracks Films 1-3 through this link (click here), the HP4 through here (click here) and the HP5 and HP6 through here (click here). --ÈnŔîčö DC(Send me an Owl!) 05:41, November 6, 2009 (UTC)
He asks these stupid questions that he knows can be answered by read the articles!! We have to stop him once and for all!! -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!!) 01:35, November 15, 2009 (UTC
I'll check the picture. I think you mean "Who is in this picture" not "Who are in this picture" by the way. -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!!) 15:33, November 16, 2009 (UTC)
Sorry, I don't. I would've recognized the others if I knew who any of them are. -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!!) 19:45, November 16, 2009 (UTC)
Which House are you in or would most likely be in?Scarletmoon579 12:32, November 21, 2009 (UTC)
ScarletMoon579I'm in Gryffioendor.--Station7 12:51, November 21, 2009 (UTC)
I don't think I've created a user page there quite yet. I'm more focused on this Wiki. -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!!) 17:09, November 25, 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I've made a few edits there but I'm mostly focused on keeping this Wiki safe from vandalism. -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!!) 17:14, November 25, 2009 (UTC)
If you're referring to the names carved into the walls of Professor Trelawney's classroom, these can be seen beginning at 1:20:46 into the Prisoner of Azkaban film, but you have to pause several times in order to read most of them. ★ Starstuff(Owl me!) 10:58, November 27, 2009 (UTC)
No, I'm not Dutch. I'm English, and we use the term Nee to indicate a former name after marriage. - Cavalier One(Wizarding Wireless Network) 15:11, December 6, 2009 (UTC)
Hi, I just wanted to mention (because ive seen youve been asking for pictures), that alot of the articles you have asked for pictures, there arent any, and most likely never will be since they are usually people who are only mentioned in the books, and most likely wont appear in the movies. RatneerOwl Alert! 22:07, December 12, 2009 (UTC)
Yes, there is a small possibility that there could be pictures, but since they are minor characters, i dont know. Though it is still possible. RatneerOwl Alert! 22:13, December 12, 2009 (UTC)
Well, I really dont understand your question. There is no set limit on the amount of pages that can be added in a day RatneerOwl Alert! 22:24, December 12, 2009 (UTC): Like i said, there is no set limit. RatneerOwl Alert! 22:27, December 12, 2009 (UTC)
Oh, you are asking if there are Real World witchs and wizards, can you put a page about them on here. right? If that is right, then no. This wiki is for Articles about Harry potter, and, those people have nothing to do with harry potter. RatneerOwl Alert! 22:48, December 12, 2009 (UTC): Its ok. RatneerOwl Alert! 22:52, December 12, 2009 (UTC)
Prefects are decided upon before the start of a House Points Game term. Usually the previous term's Prefects are asked if they wish to continue in that role, but users can also submit their names to Starstuff if they're interested, and they meet the eligibility criteria. The current term started on September 20th, and the current Gryffindor Prefects are Cubs Fan2007 and Margiechocoholic. - Nick O'Demus 15:00, December 18, 2009 (UTC)
In the book, Harry got the Firebolt from Sirius as an anonymous Christmas present, and he used it in the Quidditch matches against Ravenclaw and Slytherin. The wiki's Canon policy is that when events in the different versions contradict, the "higher canon" source (in this case, the book) is the correct version. - Nick O'Demus 19:02, December 18, 2009 (UTC)
You would have to set up a page in the template namespace on that wiki with the infobox's coding. You can copy the codes from here (click "Edit this page" to see the codes) -- Seth Cooperowl post! 22:38, December 18, 2009 (UTC):Hmm. I'm not sure if I can help you with that. Can you send me a link to your wiki? -- Seth Cooperowl post! 23:08, December 18, 2009 (UTC)::I think I know what the problem is. The infoboxes need some other templates that aren't up on that wiki. But as I am not that template savy (sorry!), I think you should ask another administrator about that. -- Seth Cooperowl post! 23:24, December 18, 2009 (UTC)
Not a professional photographer, but i can take photos. I only have a 2008 model of digicam from Kodak. Why you asked me about that? :) --ÈnŔîčö DC(Send me an Owl!) 19:38, December 20, 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for that. And I wish someday, i became a professional photographer. ;) --ÈnŔîčö DC(Send me an Owl!) 19:44, December 20, 2009 (UTC)hey, how do you get one of those boxes on your user page, just underneath your picture you have that information box that tells you what house your in , any help on how to get one ? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Billboi61 (talk • contribs).
Any user can create new articles, categories, templates, etc., simply go to Special:CreatePage to get started. However, before making a new article, it's always a good idea to check if it already exists in some form or another by using the Search feature first. - Nick O'Demus 13:04, December 22, 2009 (UTC):I should have mentioned, there are some restrictions on creating articles outside of canon. There has already been a discussion on articles for unofficial guidebooks, you should read it here. - Nick O'Demus 13:33, December 22, 2009 (UTC)::In the forum discussion I noted above, I mentioned the possibility of creating a single "List of Harry Potter unofficial guidebooks" article, sort of like the List of Harry Potter fan websites, where books like those on Amazon.com could be listed with a short description and an external link to either the author's or publisher's page or the Amazon.com entry. I hadn't gotten around to it yet, although I still think it would be a good idea. Would you like to help? - Nick O'Demus 13:49, December 22, 2009 (UTC):::Great! I've already started the article here, so feel free to add whatever you can find. Amazon.com is a good place to start, but links to author's or publisher's webpages are even better. - Nick O'Demus 14:33, December 22, 2009 (UTC)::::Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear on this, but we're not creating individual articles for each book, we're listing each book on the single, main article. Several of the admins have already said that other than the Lexicon book (which was notable for the lawsuit with JKR about it), the unofficial books should not each have their own articles. Major groups in the fandom, like the Harry Potter Lexicon or Potter Puppet Pals, get their own article, but since they're still unoffical, they only get one. - Nick O'Demus 15:01, December 22, 2009 (UTC):::Most of the admins said that the Lexicon book article would be okay, again largely because the lawsuit Rowling brought against it was so notable. So that one's alright, and could even be expanded a bit more with information about the lawsuit. A good rule of thumb is that if J.K. Rowling herself had any level of personal involvement, like an endorsement, or writing a forward (like the Harry, A History book), that would be considered notable enough to have its own article. - Nick O'Demus 15:17, December 22, 2009 (UTC)
In general, if the image is better quality then I leave it to the community to decide the best image. In some case, where people feel strongly over the use of a certain image, I would recommend tabling a vote on the talk page with both images (or multiple images) represented. In clear cases of images being inferior in quality to existing ones, then I would generally remove them, as I have done with the Harry image. - Cavalier One(Wizarding Wireless Network) 18:31, December 23, 2009 (UTC)
I have officially warned him. If he proceeds with this negative behaviour, he will be blocked for two weeks. -- Seth Cooperowl post! 18:56, December 27, 2009 (UTC)
You should probably ask Seth if he has the image without the name on it, then it would be a simple matter of adding the text in Photoshop or MS Paint. It's fairly easy, and you could probably do it yourself in just a few minutes, but if you can get the image with blank parchment and you still want help, just ask and I'll be happy to do it. - Nick O'Demus 16:04, December 31, 2009 (UTC)
Hi! Sure, I'll do that for you. What do you want it to read, "Oswald Black" or "Station7"? -- Seth Cooperowl post! 17:35, December 31, 2009 (UTC):Here you go: :Happy New Year! -- Seth Cooperowl post! 17:51, December 31, 2009 (UTC)
Hey, Station. I just wanted you to know I restored "bade" to the Rescue of Sirius Black and Buckbeak article; it can be considered correct, since it's a past tense of "bid," which itself means either "to tell," or "to utter a greeting or salutation."[1] I meant to include an edit summary, but I accidentally hit enter before I typed anything. --Cubs Fan(Talk to me) 17:20, January 1, 2010 (UTC)
That's not really a weird question. I just copy & paste a death sign on an article that's already got one. -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!!) 15:29, January 2, 2010 (UTC)
You can edit it. I'm glad that everyone on HPW is very close to one another; on Degrassi Wiki nobody talks to one another.Scarletmoon579 16:16, January 2, 2010 (UTC)Scarletmoon579(Talk to me!)Don't worry- when I was talking about the edit-some-articles thing I wasn't talking about you. P.S. Scarley- I like that name. --Scarletmoon579 16:31, January 3, 2010 (UTC)Scarletmoon579(Talk to me!)
There's no need. It was in good faith; I do not believe he meant to break the policy, as he was just trying to help. -- Seth Cooperowl post! 16:44, January 3, 2010 (UTC)
It really depends on each User. I think most Users don't mind if all you're doing is something like fixing a broken link or correcting typos, although some Users really don't like it if anybody edits their userpage, and would prefer that people either ask permission on the talk page first or just let them know so they can make the changes themselves. You should probably verify that with Seth to make sure you have his permission before doing anything. I don't where he said anything about how anybody could edit his page, but he does still have that notice at the top of his page about only fixing typos. - Nick O'Demus 11:41, January 4, 2010 (UTC)
No problem at all. Though I must admit that the IP address has done quite a lot of work to actually perform that vandalism; he changed quite a lot ;). You don't see that often. Mark(Talk) • (Contribs) 20:26, January 4, 2010 (UTC)
Is there a way of banning that vandal?--Hcoknhoj 21:45, January 5, 2010 (UTC)Seth Cooper got him. Thanks. I hate chasing them around, trying to change back their edits. --Hcoknhoj 21:52, January 5, 2010 (UTC)
Sure, you can do it if you want. I was not joking, I merely said that GrouchMan can edit my page everytime he wanted as I believe he is trustworthy. Also, I didn't say everyone could edit my user page. -- Seth Cooperowl post! 13:09, January 6, 2010 (UTC)
Station7, I've noticed you've spelled my user name incorrectly a few time. It isn't Grounchman, it's GrouchMan. I'm not tryin to sound like a jerk, it's just a tip just so you'll remember it in the future. Thanks!! -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!!) 14:20, January 7, 2010 (UTC)
I was once but I was blocked. I've been trying to get the user who blocked me to give me one more chance but he obviously doesn't wanna listen to me. -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!!) 15:59, January 7, 2010 (UTC)
Me too. I try to tell him that I'm really sorry but he won't listen to me. -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!!) 16:58, January 7, 2010 (UTC)
At first, I made some mistakes and didn't respond to the comments left on my talk page cause I didn't know how to at that point. So they blocked me. Then I created a new account, apologized for my mistakes, created some new articles and fixed a lot of redirects. But eventually, this guy Danny Horn a.k.a. Toughpigs, the user who blocked me, blocked me under my new account cause he said I was just wearing them out by fixing all those redirects. -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!!) 18:04, January 7, 2010 (UTC)
Aw man that's ridiculous!! Well I'm gonna ask an admin to speak to Toughpigs for me & see if he'll let me have 1 last chance. -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!!) 18:14, January 7, 2010 (UTC)
Thank you Station7. No not yet, I'm waiting for a reply from Seth or Nick. I have a question for you though. Would you mind it if I scanned your user page for any redirects I could fix? Thanks!! -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!!) 14:02, January 11, 2010 (UTC)
I just wanna fix any links on your user page that would redirect you to other pages. Ya know the old "Redirected from ..." thing that you see on most Wikis? -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!!) 14:06, January 11, 2010 (UTC)
No not vandalism. Let's just say, it'll make things a whole lot easier for you if I fix your page a little bit. -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!!) 14:07, January 11, 2010 (UTC)
You're welcome. By the way, I don't mind you calling me GrouchMan but you can also call me T.J. or Teej. I don't mind at all. Just don't call me Thomas. lol -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!!) 14:20, January 11, 2010 (UTC)
Hi im new here and setting up a page i was wondering how you set up the Information part with theBorn Died Blood Status
-Bit sorry if this is a bit of a noob question :/
That´s because the article has yet to be created. On Talk:Unidentified Gryffindor man (II) we've found him in the game´s credits, but haven´t found out which Portrait represents him. You can create the article if you want. --Rodolphus 20:11, January 11, 2010 (UTC)
