Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday, Starstuff!
Hope this year's a good one for you!

The greatest of birthdays to you! (if you'll excuse the belatedness!) --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 11:20, May 26, 2012 (UTC)
Hi, Starstuff! Belated happy birthday from me, too!  Harry granger   Talk  contribs 11:48, May 26, 2012 (UTC)
Thanks all! :) Starstuff (Owl me!) 22:55, August 13, 2012 (UTC)

Thought you ought to know

Voting on the Notability Policy proposal is moving forward. - Nick O'Demus 11:44, June 5, 2012 (UTC)

That's okay. Thanks for telling me. :) Expelliarmus! (talk) 13:10, August 14, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Tonks' middle name

Hi, thank you for your answer. I had already forgotten about this :-))) But nonetheless I understand your opinion. A side which everyone can contribute can be wrong, that's true.  Harry granger   Talk  contribs 18:24, August 14, 2012 (UTC)

Welcome Back

You've always been a great contributor/admin here, so it's great to see you back. ProfessorTofty (talk) 21:00, August 14, 2012 (UTC)

Indeed, indeed, we are very happy that you are back! --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 21:18, August 14, 2012 (UTC)

Hi, I noticed under the wiki affiliates on the home page, the Time Turner one is no longer available. Is that like a glitch or is it outdated?JediTurtles (talk) 06:35, August 21, 2012 (UTC)

Harry Potter Wizard's Collection

Did you buy it? If so, good score. I would love to have it, but I just don't have the cash to plunk down on a pricey collector's object like that at the moment. ProfessorTofty (talk) 16:07, September 10, 2012 (UTC)

Yes. I wasn't planning to get it originally, but I saw it when I was at the store buying something else, and the guy who worked there said they were only getting one in, so I made a "now or never" kind of decision. Used money I had put aside for a Wii U, since there's not really any launch titles in which I'm interested, and Wii U's will be produced for the next 5-10 years, whereas there's only going to be 60,000 Wizard's Collections made.
It's a very cool collection. Every HP movie release in one convenient box — albeit a very large, heavy one. Before pulling out any of the drawers, it's a cube a little under a foot high and wide, and weighs like 10 pounds. If you want to get one, try to to pick it up in a store, because I imagine shipping would be a small fortune on top of its already expensive asking price. Starstuff (Owl me!) 16:38, September 10, 2012 (UTC)
Well, I'd love to get one if I had the cash to plunk down for it, but I just don't at the moment. As for shipping, though, it's actually free on with Prime membership, or if you use their "Free Super Saver Shipping" option. ProfessorTofty (talk) 16:43, September 10, 2012 (UTC)
Was just some advice on how to potentially save money if it should become possible for you to get the box set sometime. :) I hadn't realized how large it was until I saw the real thing! Starstuff (Owl me!) 17:49, September 10, 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, it does sound pretty big. If I did get it, I'd probably get it on Amazon, since they'd send it to me in about a day or so and they seem to be offering a pretty good deal. ProfessorTofty (talk) 18:23, September 10, 2012 (UTC)
I read that the set contains a number of new behind-the-scenes bonus features. Picked up any interesting new bits of info from there? (Or have you had a chance to watch any yet?) ProfessorTofty (talk) 21:04, September 12, 2012 (UTC)
It includes all of the eight-part documentary series from the Ultimate Editions (spread across eight discs) as well as a ninth hidden "bonus" disc. I've seen the first four documentaries, but I'm planning on spacing out the rest. :) Starstuff (Owl me!) 10:39, September 13, 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for adding all of the information that you have. I take it you have a copy of the book? --Hunniebunn (talk) 15:36, November 16, 2012 (UTC)

Yes. :) The new content is wonderful, and the game itself is more fun than I anticipated it would be, though it is rather on the short side and there were a few points where play control was frustrating/unresponsive. Starstuff (Owl me!) 16:53, November 16, 2012 (UTC)

About the Wonderbook ?

I know that you obtained this sentence ("It's covered in dust! You must be the first student in years to pick it up.") in the original version of Wonderbook, but I didn't manage to obtain it in French version.... if you have the possibility of obtaining it, inform me!

Thank you in advance!--Caliméro (talk) 14:15, November 19, 2012 (UTC)

Newest Pottermore update

So jealous - I've been busy all morning and didn't know an update was up. Now, I have to start work for a few hours in about 20 minutes, with only limited time for browsing. And Pottermore's just gone down! "Pottermore is currently unavailable. Please come back later and try again." Argh! ProfessorTofty (talk) 16:42, December 20, 2012 (UTC)

Don't worry! You can always enjoy the latest update over the weekend. It's like JKR's Christmas gift to us. :) Starstuff (Owl me!) 14:20, December 21, 2012 (UTC)

Have you red the Draben talk page? Seth Cooper has a point, and it has been decided thar Draben is an exception to the no titles rule.--Rodolphus (talk) 09:37, December 21, 2012 (UTC)

Sorry. :( Changed it back. I was going through Category:Nobility and just automatically changed what seemed to be a non-policy-compliant article name without knowing the talk page history. Starstuff (Owl me!) 09:50, December 21, 2012 (UTC)

If you are here - and even if you are not - happy Christmas!--Lord (talk) 16:59, December 25, 2012 (UTC)

RE:Limited Edition Book Set

Hahahaha, I wish! What a lovely gesture, don't you think! :) --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 13:28, February 12, 2013 (UTC)

Perhaps we should do that, lamentably. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 14:30, February 13, 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the tip! I've seen them and they are great quality! --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 17:17, February 14, 2013 (UTC)

Gilderoy Lockhart / Hermione

Not to mention the, uhm, unfortunate implications, what with Hermione being 13 years old at the time. >_>

I sent you a friend request on Pottermore (from NoxSky12599). - Nick O'Demus 09:30, February 15, 2013 (UTC)

Do not want. X_X
I don't visit Pottermore as much as I should, and I get a lot of random friend requests that I ultimately end up declining, so it's good you let me know. :) Starstuff (Owl me!) 09:49, February 15, 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for friending me, too. :) Starstuff (Owl me!) 10:25, February 15, 2013 (UTC)

Inigo Fuente Marrero

Just a question, did you read the talk page before changing the article's name? --DCLM (talk) 14:45, August 7, 2013 (UTC)

Replied on the talk page. Starstuff (Owl me!) 15:20, August 7, 2013 (UTC)

Hm, Starstuff, has my computer a problem or is this file empty?  Harry granger   Talk   contribs 19:09, August 7, 2013 (UTC)

I moved it to File:LeCirqueduVagaLumePoster.jpg because the initial title featured a typo ("la" instead of "le") and deleted the redirect. Starstuff (Owl me!) 19:11, August 7, 2013 (UTC)
Ah, now I understand why I got a mail with the message that this "page" was added to a category that I follow and when I opened it I saw only "two polar bears in snow". :-)  Harry granger   Talk   contribs 19:19, August 7, 2013 (UTC)

Would you please stop saying I haven't learned anything? All I did was adding it. But I stopped after you explained your reasons. --DCLM (talk) 14:36, August 8, 2013 (UTC)

Danniesen was here, after all, on probation. If you have reason to believe that those edits were unhelpful and not made in good faith, then, by all means, do as you must. There must be limits to what one can turn a blind eye, for the wiki's sake.

On an unrelated matter, it's great to see you back here! How have you been? --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 18:08, August 8, 2013 (UTC)

I've been pretty good. Unfortunately, I don't have as much time for wiki-ing as I used to have, so my presence has been (and will probably continue to be) somewhat sporadic, although I do try to drop in whenever a chance presents itself. Starstuff (Owl me!) 18:28, August 8, 2013 (UTC)
Re: Danniesen - I completely agree. If you felt his conduct was out-of-line, then it's perfectly reasonable to block him. As has been noted, he had been warned before and was on probation, yet continued to edit in ways that cannot be considered acceptable, such as edit-warring and creating entirely unnecessary pages.
