Hello Starstuff, i just want to inform you that recently i created a Twitter account dedicated to Harry Potter Wiki; The username is @HPWiki. What do you think about it? And also, please let me know if you also have a twitter account. --ÈnŔîčö DC(Send me an Owl!) 07:02, January 18, 2010 (UTC)
Just a heads up to let you know that I've temporarily granted Grunny admin rights so that he can work on the coding for the infoboxes across the wiki to make them all uniform. This is to avoid the necessity of constantly lowering and raising protection levels on affected articles. Grunny is a trusted member of the Wikia community, and I vouch for his knowledge of technical matters and coding when it comes to Wikis. Although his adminship will be removed once he has completed the work I have asked him to do, I fully intend to nominate him for actual adminship so that we may benefit from his expertise in the future. - Cavalier One(Wizarding Wireless Network) 09:09, January 20, 2010 (UTC)
A vote was opened on the Salazar Slytherin talk page over the pic used for the infobox. It was originally set for one week, and it has now been two, but no pic has the +3 clear majority needed for closing as stated in the Voting Policy. What would you recommend? - Nick O'Demus 21:04, January 24, 2010 (UTC)
Nevermind. A couple more people just voted and reached a majority. - Nick O'Demus 21:19, January 24, 2010 (UTC)
Policy discussion in progress here. - Nick O'Demus 11:31, January 26, 2010 (UTC)
I've finalized the proposals in the "Alias" policy forum discussion. The vote will officially begin in 24 hours to allow for any final recommendations. - Nick O'Demus 10:11, January 28, 2010 (UTC)
Hey Starstuff, thanks for the response to this issue, and your support. I'll be nomming him for adminship shortly. I'm sorry to hear about your personal issues, and hope you manage to work them out to your satisfaction without too much trouble and continue your contributions here :) - Cavalier One(Wizarding Wireless Network) 18:38, January 26, 2010 (UTC)
Do I get House Points for making the pages from the last time? It are a lot so I can't edit them here. You can look at my user page, what pages I have made.--Station7 23:29, January 29, 2010 (UTC)
Hey Star have not been able to edit in a while long time no see. Anyways, I was wondering if we have a page about different Podcasts such as Pottercast and Mugglecast as well as Hogwarts Radio. I'd be interested in creating the page but I'm not sure if there is any policy regarding not being able too. Thanks --Profiteor 03:12, January 30, 2010 (UTC)
Hi, this is Remus. This is bring to your notice that there are many quotes & pics which has got a clear +3 majority, so you can kindly promote them. Because this week's quote is a repeat one.

Hey Starstuff, I have a request. Would it be posible for me to make 1 quick to the Selected Pictures template? There's just 1 redirect I can fix. Thanks!! -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!!) 14:04, February 15, 2010 (UTC)
We have conflicting information in back to back paragraphs, both portrayed as fact, about the Etymology of "Avada Kedavra." I'm going to copy this to Seth Cooper as well in case he gets on first. Thanks, --JKoch(Owl Me!) 04:06, February 23, 2010 (UTC)
I thought I'd let you know your version of the proposal won approval, but I'll need an admin's help in implementing some of the changes. First, the "Alias" field in the infobox templates needs to be renamed to either "A.K.A." or "Also Known As", but many of the templates are protected. Second, the Harry Potter Wiki:Character infobox family guidelines policy needs to be moved to Harry Potter Wiki:Character infobox guidelines. I can move the page itself, but some of the shortcut links will need to be renamed as well, such as in the template on the right side of the page and the dropdown list on the left under the site logo. I'll do a writeup a but later of how the policy will be reworded and I'd like to get your opinion on it before actually implementing the changes. - Nick O'Demus 16:42, February 23, 2010 (UTC)
I noticed that you were moving possessive forms of words ending in 's' (like Dean Thomas' relatives) to remove the 2nd s from s's to it's just s'. But then I noticed User:Seth Cooper changing it back, so I am wondering, are you two engaged in an edit war or sort this out at some point?
I was just going around changing s's to s' wherever I saw them in articles and moving pages but then I noticed the conflict in the history and figure I better stop in case I'm wrong. Is this something I should revert? Ty 09:16, April 7, 2010 (UTC)
This is the only one that comes to mind at the moment. Oh, and this : ) - Nick O'Demus 10:28, June 30, 2010 (UTC)
Forgot to mention, infobox pic voting/debate on the following: Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley, & Tom Riddle. And Cav just closed the voting on the blog issue, and set the new policy. - Nick O'Demus 11:29, June 30, 2010 (UTC)
As per the vote on the proposed blog policy, I am pleased to say that the new policy is now in effect. Users have one week to retrieve any work they want from the blogs. After that time, feel free to begin deleting blog posts that do not adhere to the new rules. I'll be conducting a massive sweep of the pages soon myself.
Hey, just a heads up, I've had a really good tidy up on the quote of the week page (wow, I mean wow was that messy) hope thats ok with everyone. If you have anything else I can do, let me know. --Darth Jadious 23:26, June 30, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for changing the sidebar navbox to recognise that the DH films use numbers instead of roman numerals. It's made my life a lot easier in changing and linking all of the articles together. HallowsProductions (talk) 06:33, July 6, 2010 (UTC)
I know this isn't major, but we generally use Ronald Weasley for all links to that Article, and the quote has just Ron Weasley. --JKoch(Owl Me!) 03:33, July 12, 2010 (UTC)
If you're wondering about the project edits, I'm rewriting Harry Potter Sixth Year to actually make the section chronological. It is relatively well written as it is, but it is subdivided by subject, a paragraph for Ginny, a paragraph about the Half-Blood Prince, etc. --JKoch(Owl Me!) 03:14, July 17, 2010 (UTC)
Could I ask a favor of you? When this user adds to bulleted list like in the BTS section, he was been taking a few spaces beyond the last bullet and just adding the new information following a dash, with no regards to formatting. (Look at the recent edit history for Basilisk). COuld you say something to him, I tried and there hasn't been a change. --JKoch(Owl Me!) 19:29, July 17, 2010 (UTC)
Do you think Deathly Hallows should be given a longer FA run due to the last movie coming out later this year? Severus Snape was given a full month when 'HBP was out. - Nick O'Demus 13:35, July 19, 2010 (UTC)
How about a little of both? Take it down and put up another FA for now, then bring it up again a month of two before DH: Part 1 comes out, and have a few related FA's around the same time?
I was also thinking about doing an "All-Star FA countdown" just before the release of Part 2 next year, something along the lines of:
Could you tell 72.229.249.242 that we are not using the neologism "truel" to mean a three way duel, please. --JKoch(Owl Me!) 02:01, August 1, 2010 (UTC)
Just wanted to let you know that Madam Hooch's office is mentioned in CS where it states that the Quidditch balls are kept there. But there is allready an article on it. Could you please do something in my favour and check the new ghost articles and upload images, if you have the possibility. Thanks.--Rodolphus 08:16, August 2, 2010 (UTC)
Hmm, I didn´t ask you to check recently uploaded images. I asked you to upload images of the film and video game ghosts. And you did it greatly. Thanks again.--Rodolphus 07:13, August 3, 2010 (UTC)
In concordance with the British Policy, I talked to CavOne and decided to move dates to their British way (ie 31 July instead of July 31), I tried moving Jan. 3 and wikia gave me "Action Throtled." Do you know what that means. --JKoch(Owl Me!) 23:57, August 5, 2010 (UTC)
I think that should be okay. As long as the images are sourced correctly, and the image in question is in the public domain on a publicly accessible site, I don't think it would be an issue. I'll amend the policy wording slightly to allow it. - Cavalier One(Wizarding Wireless Network) 07:07, August 6, 2010 (UTC)
I don't think it would be a major issue; the images are publicly available to anyone able to access them. It's not like we're taking images from private Facebook photo galleries, or other site with privacy settings. The images are free to view on the Internet, so I don't think using them is an issue, and the fairuse template should cover their use, yes. - Cavalier One(Wizarding Wireless Network) 08:02, August 9, 2010 (UTC)
