Marius was a Squib. We know that squibs can't do magic, and if child can't do magic at age 7, that means that child really is squib. So, he was probably disnowned from family at seven or even earlier. --Lord 10:29, 22 August 2009 (UTC)´

It´s a bit speculative, isn´t it?--Rodolphus 10:33, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

Hmm, maybe is. But he was probably disnowned very young, and so, it's possible that he died young, alone in big Muggle world. --Lord 10:59, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Look, I know that you loves Bellatrix. (My mum looks like her when she was younger!) I know that under picture of Elladora (that's my favourite female name from the tree, and because she was crazy and she don victory over stereotyp) is written just "Elladora". But I know this: under picture of Alexia is written "Alexia", then her dates, then the fisr name of her husband, and his surname "Walkin". I think that her full name was "Alexia Walkin nee Black". She was maybe an aunt of Cygnus and Arcturus I (my theory is that they wrere brothers). Look this, please: File:Blackfamilytreeootp1.jpg You can see Alexia Walkin and that under her picture is written many words, not just Alexia Walkin. Please, notice this. And, what you think: is my English good? I love English names, and do you know the etymology of name Cedrella? It's interesting that she and her sisters have got names on "C" (Callidora, Charis, Cedrella). Arcturus and Lysandra were probably good parents.--Lord 16:58, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

OK. Thanks for the explanation. I´m understanding it now.--Rodolphus 17:02, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

Can users upload an image of theyself?

(This question is stupid, but listen: On your user page I notice that your eyes are blue gey. What means "gey"? I know that this is kind a silly, but my question are sometimes strange (like Bellatrix Lestrange, and she was strange, I'm sorry). Did you means that you eyes are blue-gray or blue-gay (this one is really stupid, I know, but please answer to me, and you should know, I am just curious, like many people who cames from varios countries). Good luck!--Lord 17:22, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

It is a missspelling of "gray", right. I´ll correct it.--Rodolphus 17:26, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

Can I upload my image? It was vierd to me that eyes can be gey or gay (but if they are happy...). Good night! (in Croatia, my country, now is 20 hours and 10 minutes).

But that witch was very kind and she looks like someone who know Barty very well..--Lord

Look, we know that on one picture are decipted ancestors of the family. We know some of them: Alexia Walkin, Eduardus Limette, Phoebe and Mrs Blishwick. Only person who we don't know is this unknown Black. So, he is the only unknown Black, and so, article about him must be called "Unidentified Black" or "Unknown Black". If we founds out his name, then we will change article's name to, for example "James Black" ((I don't really think that his name was James, I think he had two names, as Alexia Walkin or Eduardus Limette, or Phineas Nigellus). --Lord 11:25, October 10, 2009 (UTC)

Muggle-born Death Eaters?

Where did JKR say that? I know she said in an interview that there were muggle-born Slytherins and half-blood Death Eaters, but since the Death Eaters were trying to wipe muggle-borns out, it doesn't seem likely that any of them would be muggle-born themselves. It'd be like a Jewish Nazi. - Nick O'Demus 15:48, September 12, 2009 (UTC)

Alright then, as long as JKR says so. Also, I noticed you're a Bellatrix fan, so I thought this might interest you. - Nick O'Demus 16:14, September 12, 2009 (UTC)

DS Pictures

Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of the game characters, because obtaining them would involve photographing my DS, which I don't think would turn out well due to the small screen. Starstuff (Owl me!) 08:25, September 28, 2009 (UTC)

Emulators are the only way to get digital screenshots of a game, but emulation is of questionable legal status, and doesn't always work. Using a camera to photograph the screen of a TV/DS/GBA/PSP/etc. while a game is playing on it is another option, but the resulting images may not be of the best quality, due to factors like ambient light (sunlight, lamps, etc.) reflecting off the screen's glass and the "glow" of backlighting used for LCD screens.
In the HBP game for DS, when the characters speak, there aren't close-up portraits in their dialogue bubbles like in some other games. The game has a top-down view (here is an example) and there's only few times when it zooms in so that you can see a character's face. Starstuff (Owl me!) 10:53, October 1, 2009 (UTC)

Hmmm, well, I don't know what gender was that person. Also, are you sure that skull is a person? Maybe is just a decorative motiv like mermaids under Mrs Blishwick. But, Regulus is a skull (on real tapestry, he is a wizard with hat), so, this skull is probably a person. I think he/she was a brother/sister of Eduardus, Alexia, Phoebe and the first Black.--Lord 19:14, October 13, 2009 (UTC)´

Didn´t the skull have a scroll? I don´t know the gender too, but if there was one, he/she must be a person.--Rodolphus 19:19, October 13, 2009 (UTC)

OK, but this person was decipted on the door. In the film, when Sirius closed the door, we don't see anything on the image, just a black door. So, I thinks - it's maybe possible that this skull is just a skull (but with name, maybe is on the scroll writen family moto) because this skull do not appears in the film. But, I think this is maybe really a person, so I will made an article about that person. Or maybe you?--Lord 19:26, October 13, 2009 (UTC)´

You can do it.--Rodolphus 19:31, October 13, 2009 (UTC)

The Wizengamot may be for Harry Potter Wikia discussions and not Harry Potter in general, but where are we supposed to ask questions about the series and dig deeper into it if there's no place for it? The Wizengamot has been used for any type of HP discussion since I've been a user so why should it change?Still Learning 14:06, October 15, 2009 (UTC)

To my knowledge, the Wizengamot is for discussing changes which affect more than one article. (e. g. changing infoboxes for multiple characters, identify unnamed film characters) and not for speculation. I cite the Wizengamot Main Page:

" The Wizengamot is a site-wide discussion area meant for topics concerning the Harry Potter Wiki. "--Rodolphus 14:21, October 15, 2009 (UTC)

Doesn't Harry Potter in general concern Harry Potter Wiki?Still Learning 20:20, October 16, 2009 (UTC)

The forum is meant to discuss improvements to the articles, not to speculate aboutt things.--Rodolphus 20:23, October 16, 2009 (UTC)

Where are we supposed to discuss Harry Potter in general if there is no place for that on the Harry Potter Wiki?Still Learning 20:29, October 16, 2009 (UTC)

Harry Potter Wiki is an encyclopedia. If my knowledge is right, you can discuss Harry Potter in every general HP forum like e. g. Mugglenet. To be sure, you could better ask one of our Admins. I´m not an expert on our policies, too.--Rodolphus 20:36, October 16, 2009 (UTC)

Also, why is there a discussion page tabbed to almost every article in this HP site? Aren't those for discussions on articles as far as editing and whatnot also? Why wouldn't the Wizengamot be an ok place to discuss HP in general?Still Learning 16:04, October 22, 2009 (UTC)

Please have a look on that Forum and ask your questions there.--Rodolphus 16:09, October 22, 2009 (UTC)

Hi! I think you are referring to this interview when saying that Rowling stated all the portraits were of dead people. She actually doesn't say all the portraits are of deceased individuals, but all the portraits featured in the book series by Order of the Phoenix were of deceased people. I don't think that includes the films/games-only portraits, however, as they are not encountered on the series. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 15:08, November 14, 2009 (UTC)

You´re right. In my opinioon, we could at least write a Behind the Scenes section. Something like..

"Prtrait´s subject" may have died before ...., as JKR has stated that the Portraizs in the books depict dead people.

Or similar. --Rodolphus 15:23, November 14, 2009 (UTC)

Sure. That's best to do that because Rowling's comment is ambiguous: she could have meant "all [portraits at Hogwarts]" or "all [portraits we've seen]". --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 15:30, November 14, 2009 (UTC)

Hey Rodolphus, I added the Prewett family category to those Weasley family members because they're all technically part of the Prewett family. -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!!) 15:49, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

Tecniclly: But all pure-bloods are related. I understand your point, but then, every pure-blood could be sorted into every wizard family category. To my knowledge, the categories are for people who have this surname, not for their descendants who have other names.--Rodolphus 15:54, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

Hey Rodolphus, I added the Prewett family category to those Weasley, Potter, and Delacour family members because they're all technically part of the Prewett family. -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!!) 15:57, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

Black family

Do we have to by every person who is really related to the black family by the family of a person. Like this.

Ron weasley:

  • Arthur weasley (father)
  • molly weasley (mother)
  • black family

--Station7 16:26, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

We aren´t talking abouot infoboxes, but about categories. In my opinion, only family members by birth and spouses should bw listed there. Not grandchildren with other names.--Rodolphus 16:34, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

No Rodolphus I was talking about infoboxes. And what do you think now about it?--Station7 17:01, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

We´´re talking at cross-purposes, now. I totally agree with the way how family members are listed in infoboxes. And as far as I can remember, your suggestion is okay per Policy.

I only don´t agree that e. g. Harry should be listed in the Prewett family category cause he married a Prewett´s granddaughter. For the same reason, we could also sort e.. g. Hannah Abbott into the House of Black category, since she married a Black´s distant relative.--Rodolphus 17:16, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

I'm sorry I don't know about Weasley/Prewett. You was talking about that with Grounchman, but I don't know.--Station7 17:39, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

No problem.--Rodolphus 17:41, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

Is it good if I listed as House of Black in the infoboxes?--Station7 17:43, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

I´d say yws, but Cedrella, as a direct grandmother, should still be listed sperately.

Like this:

  • Parents
  • Grandparents
  • link to family article.

--Rodolphus 17:47, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

yes, that's what I mean.--Station7 17:49, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

Do I have the same to harry potter?--Station7 17:58, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

I´d say yes. After all, Dorea was a Black.--Rodolphus 18:23, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

Tom Riddle a.k.a. Voldemort to? Is he related to the blacks?--Station7 18:31, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

No, he isn´t. As far as I know.--Rodolphus 18:45, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

1) Blood Quill is like Cruciatus Curse. It inflicts dolor, pain, torture. It is a dark artifact that Umbridge used. 2) Umbridge was in the community of dark wizards. That is a sign. 3) The Ministry did not send Dementors. If anyone was able to conjure Dementors it was Lord Voldemort and everything that he did was Dark Magic. He became a creature of the Dark Arts. If Umbridge could do this ergo she is practising dark magic. 4) Etymology: Umbrage and Dolor. Umbridges character is not offense and torture! It is what she causes and alot of what she causes is through her magic.

However, noble editor, do read some of the Google debates because she is a pivotal character when it comes to debate because so much is concealed about her and it frustates fans like ourselves! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talkcontribs).

You should post this on the Umbridge talk page instead of my talk page.--Rodolphus 12:22, November 20, 2009 (UTC)

It is believed that use of these screenshots qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law:

  • When they are used to illustrate the object in question;
  • Where no free equivalent is available or could be created that would adequately give the same information (almost all images from the movies fall under this).
  • On the Harry Potter wiki, hosted on servers in the United States by the non-profit Wikia.

So I guess there's no problem on doing so. Also, when uploading these, you should use any of the "Fair use" licensing. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 21:47, December 28, 2009 (UTC)

I don't want to seem rude, but I do not wish to expose my e-mail address here. As I said, using these screenshots would qualify as fair use, so there's no reason for you to feel uncomfortable.

On what basis is that Travers? In the movie the actor playing him is just listed as playing a "death eater" on IMDb, not "death eater travers", just death eater. So unless someone, somewhere in that movie called him "Travers" by name or you are using some other site other than IMDb that credits him differently then just "death eater". I'd really like to know, because I don't recall hearing the name "travers" anywhere in those scenes in the movie, but maybe on another movie site he's credited differently, and if he is listed differently somewhere else, other lesser characters could be too, and I don't want to make another mistake in the future, where one movie site contradicts another one. --BachLynn23 13:27, July 28, 2010 (UTC)

Lavender Brown's parents

Hi Rodolphus. I don't know if Lavender Brown's parents must have their own page here. Maybe we can add a "Behind the scenes" on Lavender's page and ask to Seth (who has created Barrufio's wife)

  • “She got a letter from home this morning,” Parvati whispered. “It’s her rabbit, Binky. He’s been killed by a fox.”
  • Elle a reçu une lettre de ses parents ce matin, murmura Parvati. Son lapin est mort, il a été tué par un renard.

Do you know if characters are present only in the german version too? --   Famini    talk    contribs   12:31, September 23, 2010 (UTC)

RE:Dark Arts, Aurorora, Rolanda

It makes sense we have both a "Dark Arts" and a "Dark Arts (class)" article [i.e. "Potion" and "Potions (class)"]. As for Sinistra and Hooch being mentioned in the Order of the Phoenix game, I'm not so sure. Probably on one of those random snippets of conversation we can hear when we pass by other students. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 19:47, October 6, 2010 (UTC)

I agree Kendra's age from DH/f isn't contradicted by Rowling and is thus considered canon under this wiki's policy. I went ahead and edited Kendra's article to include her estimated year of birth. Starstuff (Owl me!) 08:53, October 22, 2010 (UTC)

RE: Transfiguration

I suppose there might be some precedent with spells like Duro or Scribblifors, but personally I always considered those as somewhat generic Transfiguration, and "Inanimate-to-Inanimate" doesn't seem like the best description. You might ask Seth, maybe there's something from the trading card game that could be relevant. - Nick O'Demus 10:30, November 6, 2010 (UTC)

Hi Rodolphus! Sorry for taking so much time to reply, but as I'm sure you've noticed, I haven't been able to log in as often as I would like (loads of tests at school/avoiding to get spoiled for Deathly Hallows Part 1). As for the unidentified resting Headmaster, I am pretty sure I saw someone on the Headmaster portraits that resembles that description; I'll try to upload a picture before the week is out. "Inanimate-to-Inanimate" doesn't sound that well to me... I don't recall anything relevant from the Trading Card Games, so I would consider those spells simply as "Transfiguration". --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 23:00, November 15, 2010 (UTC)

We Need Your Help For An Article About Harry Potter Wiki!

Hi Rodolphus, Harry Potter Wiki has been getting a lot of attention thanks to the Wizarding World Giveaway and the Deathly Hallows premiere, and now a reporter from Yahoo! Movies wants to feature movie reviews from Harry Potter Wiki most passionate users in an article she's writing about the Deathly Hallows:Part 1 premiere!

Did you go to the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1? Please help us promote the wiki by posting your expert review on the Review Page immediately... we need the reviews by 7am tomorrow morning PST. This is a HUGE opportunity to promote the wiki and everyone's hard work here.

Please post your review in the comments on the Review Page using this format if you're interested in being featured in an article and helping spread the word about Harry Potter Wiki:

Current City:

What did you do to celebrate the HP premiere?

Did you like the film? Why or why not?

What did you like or not like?

How does this film compare to the others?

Is this the best one yet?

Who gives strong performances? Who doesn't? Why?

Thank you! ---- Kacie@Wikia (talk) 10:43, November 19, 2010 (UTC)

"Not everyone" is true key word "possibly" , but still im trying to add more to that section of the article. you people keep on saying that his name wasn't on the list of casualties so it is "possible" that he survived the second wizarding war. If his name wasn't on the list of casualties, then that means he absolutely survived the second wizarding war. so stop syaing that.

Re: Cormac

  1. I agree that we should create an article on the McLaggen family now there's two known members. Tiberius is only stated to have been Cormac's uncle in HBP7, which doesn't necessarily mean he was a McLaggen.
  2. It's possible that a Muggle-born could have a magical uncle/aunt, through marriage or more than one spontaneous magical birth occurring in the same Muggle line (if Dudley had been born a wizard, it'd make him a Muggle-born with a Muggle-born aunt), but, like you said, Cormac couldn't have attended Hogwarts during the 1997-1998 year if he hadn't been at least partially of magical heritage. Also, in DHP1, when Cormac warns the Death Eaters he's going to tell his father about them stopping and boarding the train, the implication is that his father is someone of status in the wizarding world.
  3. This is the one suggestion about which I have reservations. The movies have altered character ages several times, notably with Katie Bell, who was presented as being in Harry's year in HBP. Repeating a year seems rare, so, without further evidence, I'd suggest we defer to the books on how long Cormac attended Hogwarts. I suppose that would render Cormac's scene in DHP1 non-canon, unless we assumed he was going there to do a job, but I seem to remember him wearing a uniform. Starstuff (Owl me!) 06:07, November 26, 2010 (UTC)

Tom Riddle

An alias is another name given to someone. He was called Tom by Dumbledore instead of Voldemort.

If you're saying that Tom isn't an alias and it's just his first name. Then shouldn't Thomas Marvolo Riddle Jr. also be removed from aliases as that's his full name. AznPride112 05:41, December 31, 2010 (UTC)

Narcissa Malfoy's infobox

I'm not sure that Narcissa Malfoy deserves a Dark wizard individual infobox as I don't believe she can truthfully be called a dark witch. It says on her page itself that JKR has stated that she was not a Death Eater but simply agreed with the philosophy of pure blood. I agree that a Slytherin infobox is not wholly appropriate either, but I think it more suitable. Thanks, WitBeyondMeasure.

RE:Professors' houses

I don't know, I find that reasoning a bit... far-fetched. I don't think Rowling's answer had any implication at all about Sinistra's house. The interviewer asked "Is Sinstra the Head of Ravenclaw?" and Rowling answered "No." If you think about it, the answer would have been the same if someone asked whether Professor Snape was Head of Ravenclaw. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 21:08, January 4, 2011 (UTC)

Dolores Umbridge

Hi, Rodolphus. I was just experimenting with the houses for Umbridge, but my edit on her current hair color is true. As some last chapter in the HBP book, It says that her hair color turned out to be ironish gray somewhere in the book. 10:30, January 8, 2011 (UTC)

Why do you keep changing the Wiki with your roleplay shit? There are and were never girls on the SLYTHERIN Quidditch team it was said a few times by Rowling so could you please just leave the facts?

So dumm kann man doch nicht sein oder? Bitte lass hier nur FAKTEN und heor auf den Fanfic Mist hier rein zu bringen. Das ist Wiki fuer Potter fans nicht fanfics!

FAKTEN FAKTEN FAKTEN kein MUELL! Keine Weiber im Slytherin Quidditch team das ist nun mal fakt alle anderen haben Frauen!

you do know that it is illegal to create characters and put false information on here right? So please if you want your roleplay and fanfic stuff make your own Wiki and leave this one correct for the fans. Thank you

I told the user that if he had a source he could provide saying that JKR specifically said that there was NEVER in the history of Quidditch at Hogwarts a female slytherin team member then to provide it but that The Exhibition is a valid canon source as long as it didn't contradict higher canon. --BachLynnGryffindorcrest(Accio!) 14:13, January 15, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks! I love creating them, I had a list written down of ideas, but I lost it a couple of days ago, so would LOVE some suggestions/ideas! I was debating doing something with Quidditch positions, and with prefects, head boys/girls, etc, but wasn't sure. BachLynnGryffindorcrest(Accio!) 15:55, January 23, 2011 (UTC)

So, I've completed all of your suggestions, I'm still debating how to structure the one for Quidditch positions and the one for headboys/prefects. I was thinking with Quidditch positions I'd do one for HOgwarts teams, and one for the other teams, keep them separate. I was also thinking after having done a Daily Prophet template that maybe I'd do a Saint Mungo's. --BachLynnGryffindorcrest(Accio!) 18:59, January 24, 2011 (UTC)

With the Quidditch ones, I was thinking, I don't want the templates to be too long, so I was thinking I would just stick to positions, and not include specific teams:

Etc etc etc

What do you think? --BachLynnGryffindorcrest(Accio!) 19:10, January 24, 2011 (UTC)

Yea, on one hand I would love to be as detailed as possible, but on the other hand I sort of look at the templates as a sort of rough guide that connects articles with common similarities, but that the real detailed information remains within the articles themselves. --BachLynnGryffindorcrest(Accio!) 19:21, January 24, 2011 (UTC)

RE:Classrooms and dormitories, again.

Sorry, I must've missed your previous message.

"Should we create an article for the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw dormitories?": we should, as they are included in Lego Harry Potter.
"What do you think about adding an image of the Lego Ravenclaw door knocker until the last film is released?": as the only available image, we definitely should do so (I've taken the liberty of uploading an image, feel free to use it in the article).
"And noticed that nummerous classroom articles (fifth floor classrom, classrooms 7B,7C,6A,1A,1C,1D,1E) currently don´´t have images.": I'll try to see if there's any walkthroughs on Youtube that feature these classrooms. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 00:27, January 29, 2011 (UTC)

RE: Classrooms

Hi. To answer your question, yes, I do play the GBC games. Currently I am playing through Philosopher's Stone, and I plan on going through Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban afterwards. As for there being classrooms without articles, I'll explore a bit and see what I can find. I will create articles for classrooms I find that don't have an article. I'll let you know if I find anything. --Texthawm (Owl Me) 15:57, February 5, 2011 (UTC)

Voting issues

Voting is in progress for new infobox pics for Gellert Grindelwald and Fleur Delacour. There's only a couple days left before they both close, so be sure to weigh in for your favorite.

We're also WAY behind on some of our featured content, especially the QOTW's and DYK's, so if you've got a couple of minutes, drop in and voice your opinions on any you like or dislike, and maybe we can get some of the backlog cleared out.

Thanks. - Nick O'Demus 09:07, April 25, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks, I'll try to create some articles on those in the near future (I'm not sure if I can make it this week; I'm pratically swimming in tests)! :) Could you try to upload some images of them for me? (By the way: there already is an article for the Hufflepuff still-life painting.) --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 15:41, May 23, 2011 (UTC)

RE:Seamus Finnegan

I'd say no. For one, there are at least to more students in the game with the same image (during the Sorting ceremony, there is one at the Slytherin table and another at the Hufflepuff table). Also, it that was Seamus, that would make the video game's "Dean" a stocky, blonde and white man. I say we should err on the side of caution and not create the article unless more evidence can be gleamed from the game. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 23:03, May 27, 2011 (UTC)

Thank you so much! Those are the articles I like most to rewrite: biographies of secondary characters (i.e. Pius Thicknesse, Pomona Sprout, Irma Pince, etc.). In answer to your question, yes, I plan to rewrite Helena Ravenclaw sometime prior to the release of Deathly Hallows: Part 2. I will perhaps work on other characters after that. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 16:14, July 7, 2011 (UTC)

Just finished rewriting Helena Ravenclaw. What do you think? --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 23:48, July 7, 2011 (UTC)
I'd say no. It's not a great quality pic, and she has not a very "neutral" expression. Besides, there's no other picture of her we could put under the "1997—1998 school year" section. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 14:13, July 10, 2011 (UTC)

Sirius and Draco Family Information

Draco and Sirius are not "first cousins once removed"?

I added it to Sirius page and was about to put on draco's when I saw you had undo those changes.

Narcissa is cousin of Sirius and Draco, as her son, is Sirius first cousin once removed (a difference of one generation).

Am I right or wrong?

Thanks =)

ohh, I didn't know only first cousins were allowed in the list. but it makes the list simpler (who wants to know more about the family infos can ask or "do the math")

Nymphadora Tonks for example has Sirius and Regulus in the list. And to her they are first cousins once removed. But now that I know that I will fix it.

Thanks =)

RE:Founders' wands

Those articles were complete rubbish (saying that 'Founder X presumably had a wand' and very poorly spelt). If Helga's wand does appear in her card, an article would be acceptable, though. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 19:30, July 14, 2011 (UTC)

Great Hall staircase

Why have you put the non-canon box back at the top of this page? The staircase is canon, there is nothing in the books or said by JKR to say that there is no staircase behind the staff table.--Jpkilleen 18:04, July 17, 2011 (UTC)

Yes, there isn't a staircase leading down to the trophy room, but the staircase is there, even if in the books the trophy room isn't.--Jpkilleen 18:14, July 17, 2011 (UTC)

Where have you read that McGonnagal is a "Hat-stall" and that she could've been in Ravenclaw or Gryffindor? Because I'm sure that I've read that exact piece of information about Hermoine Granger in the Order of the Phoenix. Can you please site the source?

Gryffindor Witch 13:13, August 9, 2011 (UTC)

That is interesting. Do you think it should also be in Hermoine's profile as well? In the Order of the Phoenix, She tells other students that the hat almost put her in Ravenclaw, but she chose Gryffindor instead. Would that qualify as a Hat Stall? Also, wouldn't Harry also be a hat-stall since he was almost put in slytherin, but he chose Gryffindor as well?

RE:Lego Harry

Thanks! I've finished Deathly Hallows: Part 1, and I'm going to start Part 2 either today or tomorrow. As for Hestia Jones, I'm not sure. She isn't on the Advance Guard scene, nor on the Dursleys Departing cutscene, that I remember. Of course, just like Dedalus Diggle and Charity Burbage, she might be one of those unlockable characters that do not feature in the game proper. If that is so, she might be hidden in one of those special Dark Arts objects (I have yet to unlock a Dark Wizard). As for Pomfrey, I have not got to Ravenclaw Tower yet, but I'll tell you something when I do. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 15:17, December 8, 2011 (UTC)

I've uploaded a picture of Hestia Jones (I'm not sure on who, or if it was, based on a character from the movies); I haven't seen Pomfrey on Ravenclaw Tower, though. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 00:02, December 9, 2011 (UTC)
No. Remember, film canon is higher canon. Besides, it is better to have the Black family tapestry pictures than pictures of LEGO minifigures. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 15:15, December 10, 2011 (UTC)

The yellow slot in the spell wheel is a spell called Focus (which, surprisingly, doesn't have its own article yet) on "regular" characters, and the Imperius Curse on Dark characters (used to control NPCs with a question mark over their heads). In the game, Snape's Occlumency lessons seem to be replaced with attempts to train "Focus" so that they (and the player) can understand what Voldemort is after (the Prophecy). --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 19:32, December 28, 2011 (UTC)

Check out Swinezits Wiki. It's a completely new school based off of Hogwarts! It is kind of a spoof of Harry Potter, but not really. It isn't very big and needs development. You could help! Please give it a chance and check it out.DDfan80 12:52, January 27, 2012 (UTC)
