[edit] Gryffindor Quidditch Team

We have changed many of the rules in the Gryffindor Quidditch Team. Soon we will be competing againist other teams by rewriting and expanding an article that the referee,Matoro183 has chosen. The winning rewrite will recieve 40 points to their house and a trophy for the house team's pitch. When the competition starts, we will rewrite the article at User:Madam Hooch/Quidditch Practise. For more information on the competition, please read User:Hellabore/Parchment. Cheers! -- Hellabore(Deathly Hallows)

[edit] Possessions:Fred Weasley

I have done the important edits. I think you will be pleased with the two more sections especially the Cleensweep one! So go on and edit! -- Hellabore(Deathly Hallows)

[edit] Re: Categories

Do you mean add categories to an individual page or start a new category? You simple type [[Category:Some Name]] at the bottom of the page. Or if you're using the new interface there is a neat little JavaScript interactive editor right above the save button. What categories were you planning on adding? Make sure its not something that's a duplicate. If I didn't answer your question feel free to respond. -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 03:26, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

You "create" a category by adding pages to it. Its as simple as that. Then once there are pages in it you can click on the link to the category and add a brief description if you want. -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 19:49, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
To add pages to a category you edit the page and add the category to it. I.e. if I want to make a category for all Brown haired people I would make the page Category:Brown haired people and then on a person who has brown hair, for example, Harry Potter I would add [[Category:Brown haired people]]. Most of the actual category pages (i.e. Category:Brown haired people) are empty except for containing the categories its in. We just never filled in information for most of them since it would just be like: "This is a category for brown haired people," which is kind of lame. -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 02:50, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Re: QotW Archives

I removed all the closed discussions from Template talk:QotW. Thanks for the reminder. Starstuff (Owl me!) 21:46, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Contribution Categories

Remember you can always view the source of a page (or edit it) to see how something was done! But the trick to making links to categories (and images) is to put a colon in front, such as: Category:Individuals or File:001.jpg. -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 03:15, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

Remember that you can click edit on my reply right here and see exactly what I typed in to make the above appear. Regardless what you want to do is: [[:Category:Individuals]] or [[:File:001.jpg]]. There is a colon (:) directly after the two left brackets [[:Category:Individuals]]. -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 17:18, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
Not a big deal, just haven't had a lot of time to be on here. Sorry my explanation the first time lacked example code. -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 22:49, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Selected Picture Nominations

Oh. They were placed by an anon (24.46.21.55). The anon had also removed some striked comments, but I reverted the vandalism. I will now warn said anon. Thank you for your report! -- Seth Cooper (Owl Post) 20:33, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Sig:User Yin&Yang

Hi again Quidditch Lover. I really liked your third example of a signiture style that you left on my talk page for me. Could you give me that one please? Thankyou very much. By the way, well done on your Order of Merlin, Third Class. Over one thousand edits is not a small feat!--Yin&Yang 07:11, October 4, 2009 (UTC)

Hi Quidditch Lover. Sorry about my last post to you being on my talk page. I had meant to write it here but I must have mixed something up along the line. Anyway, I tried checking the box repeatedly and it actually tells me to check the HTML code for it. If I don't check the box, then the signiture turns out the way you saw it on my talk page. Very peculiar.--Yin&Yang 07:44, October 8, 2009 (UTC)

That's okay Quidditch Lover, it's no big deal. Besides, I never really thought of changing my signiture until you suggested it so I don't mind sticking with what I've got. Thanks anyway!--Yin&Yang 06:00, October 9, 2009 (UTC)
