In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, ch.3, p.30, Mrs. Weasley's letter says "Britain hasn't hosted the Cup for thirty years". The key word being "hosted", this does not mean the Cup has not occured at all in thirty years. Compare with the FIFA World Cup, which is held every four years and is hosted by a different country each time (no country listed has hosted more than twice). The Olympics is the same way as well. - Nick O'Demus 20:39, October 22, 2010 (UTC)
- You're welcome. That actually ended up raising another related point, though. The Cup is supposedly held every four years, but thirty is not a multiple of four. I've added a mention of it to the Behind the Scenes section. - Nick O'Demus 07:07, October 23, 2010 (UTC)
- I can help you out with that if you want. - Nick O'Demus 23:23, November 20, 2010 (UTC)
