Sig

Would you mind moving your signature to a subpage and transcluding it? John Reaves (talk) 07:46, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

Sure, just copy the code to User:Nighthawk leader/sig and then place {{User:Nighthawk leader/sig}} in the raw signature box in your preferences. John Reaves (talk) 07:56, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
Yes, the code did seem a bit excessive, that's why I asked you to do that. Maybe the software only allows for substitution. So you're saying you already had {{User:Nighthawk leader/sig}} in your signature box at you preferences? John Reaves (talk) 08:08, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
Did you clear you cache? Try that before we give up. Also, you don't have to type your name (which has a lowercase 'l' by the way), you can just leave your sig box empty. John Reaves (talk) 08:17, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
What browser do you use? John Reaves (talk) 08:23, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
I just did a test, and it worked. Make sure you place {{User:Nighthawk leader/sig}} in your raw sig box in your preferences, clear your cache (there are instruction at the bottom of the preferences page), and then sign with four tildes )like usual. Please try one more time. I'm going to try it with your sig and see what happens. John Reaves (talk)

Okay, I figured it out. The software definitely adds "SUBST" automatically. So just go back to the way it was and maybe the code can be reduced later. Sorry for the trouble. John Reaves (talk) 08:36, 13 February 2007 (UTC) Hey, just wanted to let you know I fixed your signature slightly -- it wasn't closing HTML tags correctly and was breaking a couple things on some talk pages. -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 15:22, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

News

Thanks for updating the news template. Just for the record, that isn't what would generally be considered a "minor edit". John Reaves (talk) 19:21, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

Re: Rollback

There should be a link next edits in a page's history or in a user's contributions page. John Reaves (talk) 00:56, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Userbox cats

You did the right thing by adding the <includeonly> function to Template:User ootp. It may take a few hours for all the users who've got the userbox on their pages to show up in Category:Users who support the Order of the Phoenix. This confused me at first, and I thought that the category code wasn't working, but I guess it just takes the database on this site a bit longer to update the userbox code on all the pages that transclude it (longer than it does on Wikipedia). Making an edit to the user page seems to force the userbox code to be updated, thus making the user appear in the category faster, but I thought it wouldn't be polite to go making changes to pages that weren't mine, so I just waited. Hope this helps resolve any outstanding questions you might have had. -Starstuff 23:22, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

Another vote

Just thought I'd let ya know that you're allowed two votes in the admin election, and you've only voted once. -- Freakatone Talk 11:48, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Um, are you also on Brickipedia? I am, and there is a user named Nighthawk leader. Just wondering if its you... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mace170 (talkcontribs).
