Re: Scholastic site

I think we normally consider it full canon, but can you give me an example of something you have in mind? (BTW, you may want to consider another archive; this page is getting rather long again.) ProfessorTofty (talk) 01:37, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

That sounds like great info, absolutely! Could you send me a link to where it says all that? Just one to the bit about the vampires will be fine, I can find my way to the rest from there. ProfessorTofty (talk) 01:43, February 5, 2013 (UTC)
"Door-unlocking spell" isn't capitalised. Haven't checked the other yet, but the words need to be capitalised for it not to be conjecture. The vampire stuff is still fine, though. ProfessorTofty (talk) 01:49, February 5, 2013 (UTC)
If Scholastic's site is the only official reference for that naming, I'd say, yes, we should go back to Rennervate. ProfessorTofty (talk) 01:53, February 5, 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, there may be some mistakes, but I think we can still safely consider the general info canon. ProfessorTofty (talk) 02:02, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

Merlin Gold Order of Merlin (First Class)
The Order of Merlin is awarded to you by ProfessorTofty for having over three-thousand edits on the Harry Potter Wiki.

You were sorta inching toward it, but you're finally there. Nice job! ProfessorTofty (talk) 01:48, February 7, 2013 (UTC)

Hey, congrats. You got it. Now there's only one left ;-) (for 10.000 edits huhuhuh) !!! XDDD  Harry granger   Talk   contribs 12:10, February 7, 2013 (UTC)

I will add sources from now on. Sorry if I have not before.

Sincerely, Ethan.

Re: Renaming

If there seems to be strong support, then I'll see about renaming. If there's only one or no response, then I would prefer to leave it as no consensus. If you have an opinion on any of them, however, you might want to weigh in as well. ProfessorTofty (talk) 03:09, February 10, 2013 (UTC)

Hi, there! I was thinking if I could ask you to give a look at the "Did You Know...?" nominations page, so that we can feature some new ones (quite frankly, the ones we have on the Main Page haven't changed in ages!) --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 18:50, February 10, 2013 (UTC)

When in editing mode, there's a little toolbar with thinks like "bold", "italic", "internal link" or "redirect". The right-most button of that bar is a plus sign saying "more". When you click it, a box saying "Wikitext shortcuts" will open with some Wiki markup and Symbols. The only fractions available are the following: ½ ⅓ ⅔ ¼ ¾ ⅛ ⅜ ⅝ ⅞. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 20:18, February 10, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for the tip buddy.  I'll try be sure to correct that. Catch ya later!belacreteet (talk) 23:38, February 10, 2013 (UTC)

RE:Limited Edition/Picture

I know, I know, that's me dressed to the nines! :)

Anyway, I do not know what may be the problem -- I downloaded the file alright, and had no problem in seeing the pictures. Try to download it again, it might've been just an error. You never know! --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 00:14, February 12, 2013 (UTC)

I have no idea of what's happening, and do not know who might help you; as I said, it worked alright for me. Sorry I can't be any more helpful. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 00:24, February 12, 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, I had the same issue when I tried downloading it in Firefox. The problem is that it only downloads a portion of the file and then for some reason the download gets interrupted. When I tried downloading in Internet Explorer instead, I had the same problem, but unlike Firefox, Internet Explorer seems to be capable of recognizing the correct file-size from the start. So if it says that the download was interrupted, you can click to resume. So if you were downloading in Firefox, try downloading in Internet Explorer instead. That may just sort the issue. ProfessorTofty (talk) 01:00, February 12, 2013 (UTC)
Well, exactly, that's what happened to me too. What happened is that you're not getting the whole file. If you check the file-size of what you downloaded, I think you'll find it doesn't match the file sizes listed in that post. ProfessorTofty (talk) 01:09, February 12, 2013 (UTC)
You're welcome. Just keep an eye on the download-- if you have my experience, it's still going to be interrupted in Internet Explorer, but the trick is to just check in on it every couple of minutes or so and if it says that it was interrupted, hit resume. ProfessorTofty (talk) 01:13, February 12, 2013 (UTC)
One of my downloads just failed, even in Internet Explorer. I'm trying a different file right now. Anyway, I still have a few ideas on how to get around this problem, so I'll keep you posted. If push comes to shove, I may just take my laptop into the library where I work tomorrow and see if I can manage the download there. They have super-fast download speeds, so I may be able to get it before I get cut off, and if I can do that, then I could re-post it somewhere that would be a bit more reliable. ProfessorTofty (talk) 01:28, February 12, 2013 (UTC)
No, I still couldn't get it. The ones I've been able to successfully download so far are Environments Envisaged, Harry Potter Page to Screen, The Creative Shop Companion, The Paintings of Hogwarts & Wizard Wear and Muggle Attire. I'm going to try the others again tomorrow at the library and see if that does the trick. If not, I still have a couple of other ideas. ProfessorTofty (talk) 02:27, February 12, 2013 (UTC)

Nice detective work, that's all I am saying. ;) If you don't mind, I'll remove that link from my talk page. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 21:42, February 12, 2013 (UTC)

No worries about the link. Normally, I tend not to add anyone I haven't personally met, but I see no harm in it, if it's just this once. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 21:55, February 12, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Lockhart and Wikia Stars

Lockhart is the one who sponsored the big Valentine's Day event in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. He decorated the Great Hall and sponsored the idea of the Dwarf-delivered Valentines. Hence, I thought it would be funny, in conjunction with Valentine's Day, to make the homepage into the "Gilderoy Lockhart Wiki." And the remainder of the decorations, as well as the "Sneaky Lockhart" overlay graphic, are courtesy of Seth Cooper. As for Wikia Stars, it's a new program Wikia is doing where they highlight certain users. I don't yet know all the details myself because it's very new, but they'll be asking me some questions for an interview, and it'll help with highlighting things related to the Harry Potter Wiki, such as the upcoming chat (which, by the way, has been featured on Wikia's entertainment hub.) ProfessorTofty (talk) 02:11, February 14, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, you can find it highlighted here. I actually finished my reading on it earlier today, so I'm good to go. But so long as you have it read before the chat, no worries, right? Like I said, it's probably better to have it somewhat fresh in your mind for the chat. ProfessorTofty (talk) 02:19, February 14, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Chat

Ah well. Truth be told, the only people that showed up were me, Nick and a couple of Wikia staff. So even if you had been there, it wouldn't have been much of a chat. I was thinking, perhaps we could restructure it as a forum discussion? We could post the questions in a forum post and everyone could post their responses and then we could discuss it further if people wanted to. Sorry about your laptop, but good to hear it's fixed now. ProfessorTofty (talk) 01:56, February 22, 2013 (UTC)

RE: Susan Bones

In some cases, usually where the character disappears from the film series fairly early, we'll use pictures from the later video games as it's a more recent depiction of the character. (It's the same on Colin Creevey's page.) - Nick O'Demus 23:31, February 23, 2013 (UTC)

It's really more of a long-standing editing practice than actual policy. I remember there was some discussion about it a while back, and using the most recent depiction was the general consensus, but I don't think it was ever actually formalized. So if you feel strongly about it, you could start a discussion on the talk page about changing it. - Nick O'Demus 23:44, February 23, 2013 (UTC)

Article profile pictuers from Pottermore

Are the pictuers used here from Pottermore for the article profile picture considered to be more caon that images from the films? And is it okay to change a Pottermore image back to one from the film? Professor Ambrius (talk) 21:59, February 24, 2013 (UTC)

RE:Unactive User.

I don't think there's a need. The fact that she doesn't edit implies that she left the wiki, and if she wants to return, we'd welcome her gladly (unless, of course, she wants the account blocked by request, but that's another story). --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 15:39, March 3, 2013 (UTC)

I'm Belac Reteet.  That's a good question.  Since ghosts are born in the irrepreble form of what they looked like when they died in their previous lives, I don't think that should affect their current status.  Catch ya later!belacreteet (talk) 01:03, March 8, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Active Talk Pages

Thanks for the heads-up. I've made a start on working through some of them, and I'll have a look at more tomorrow. Honestly, I don't really think it's all that many, given the size and scope of this wiki, but it is good to keep discussion going where possible. Anyway, you may want to have a look at the one's I've done so far, just to make sure there isn't anything else that needs to be said. Should be in the recent history. Immortals II

Hey buddy, I'm Belac Reteet.  Just wanted to ask you if at this point I would have your support in calling ghost immortal.  That Professor Tofty is what you might call my mortal adversary on this wiki.  Catch ya later!belacreteet (talk) 02:43, March 10, 2013 (UTC)

Hey Hunnie Bunn!  I'm Belac Reteet.  No hard feelings about ghosts, but I may need your help.  I lost yet another debate with Professor Tofty and Nick O'Demus regarding the living dead, but that's over and done with.  The problem is; I decided to do something against which Prof. Tofty can't argue by making a category page for mortals.  But he deleted it.  I don't have proof yet, but I know he did it.  He's hated my guts ever since that falling out we had over category additions.  The only problem is; I've done nothing illegal, and therfore have a case to argue.  If you could vouch for me, I'd really apreciate it.  Catch ya later!belacreteet (talk) 17:54, March 10, 2013 (UTC)

Oh, never mind.  Could you tell me who did it?belacreteet (talk) 17:55, March 10, 2013 (UTC)

Oh well.  Thanks anyway.  I'll just ask around.belacreteet (talk) 18:03, March 10, 2013 (UTC)

PS  Could you vouch for me though?  I'd like to have back up ready from other users I know (not Professor Tofty obviously.  But I might take my chances with Nick O'Demus; if he didn't do it that is.).

Oh, okay.  I'll have to revise a couple messages, but no sweat.belacreteet (talk) 18:23, March 10, 2013 (UTC)

Oh, by the way.  Are you going to side with Proffesor Tofty on this.  Because I know him well enough to not fall for this.  I mean, seriously.  My categories to big to exist.  I don't really by it.belacreteet (talk) 19:02, March 10, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks man!  I really appreciate it!belacreteet (talk) 19:07, March 10, 2013 (UTC)

RE:Original Research

As far as using a character's start date at Hogwarts to determine birth year, that's not original research so much as basic math. It's stated several times that first years start at Hogwarts at age 11. To my knowledge, there has never been a stated exception to this. Tracing back, this gives TWO possible years of birth. For example, anyone who started in 1991 like Harry would have to have been born between September 1979 and August 1980. Since the source for their age comes from within the canon, it qualifies as a valid reference (although this would still only apply to characters known to have attended Hogwarts). However, those characters should not have the "Year births" categories added unless the age could positively be narrowed down to at least one of the two years.

The main issue in the Living Dead discussion was in using information from outside the Harry Potter canon and applying it to their "in-universe" versions. While in other fiction and folklore, eternal life and/or undeath may often be associated with vampires, it has not yet stated to be the case for Rowling's versions of them. Now, it's possible this may change if new information is released in the future (possibly through Pottermore), but until then we should stick with what is currently in the HP canon.

As far as the page merges, I'd have to take a closer look at them and any discussion that may have occurred before I could give you an answer on that. I'll try to get to them later on. - Nick O'Demus 00:02, March 11, 2013 (UTC)

New template

I like the general idea, but I'm not really fond of the phrasing, which some could take the wrong way. Perhaps it would be better to go with something more like the standard warning templates, something like:

Thank you for editing at the Harry Potter Wiki. We ask that, when editing, you remember that the actions of other users should not be taken personally, unless they have specifically directed a personal attack against you. Over time, the Harry Potter Wiki has developed many policies and we all try our best to make sure that the quality of the wiki remains within those policies. Therefore, if your edit was reverted or otherwise changed, or someone disagrees with your position, it might be best to take a moment to relax and remember that editing is made with the goal of maintaining the best encyclopedia possible. If you still have any concerns, you may bring them to The Wizengamot, but please respect the decision of the community.

We might also consider linking to Wikipedia:Staying_cool_when_the_editing_gets_hot. ProfessorTofty (talk) 01:26, March 12, 2013 (UTC)

Okay, sounds good. Keep me posted. P.S.: If you have a few minutes, could you take some time to vote on the Quote of the Week? I've been working on it, and I'd like to get some more people to vote. All you have to do is vote yes on those you think would make a good choice and no for those that you don't feel are good choices. ProfessorTofty (talk) 01:40, March 12, 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for making the template, which I've now categorised. Hopefully we don't have to use it too much. And thank you also for voting the Quotes of the Week. I went ahead and corrected the vote totals-- sorry, I should have mentioned that. When you make your vote, you add or subtract one from the total listed in the header. As for the song, I wasn't familiar with it, but it quite nice. And that's neat that one of your friend's relations is the lead singer. This here is one of the tunes I find most relaxing. ProfessorTofty (talk) 06:04, March 12, 2013 (UTC)
Hi, after I read about your "relaxing songs" I was curious and heard them both. I like them both. The Prof.s is very meditative. This song I could hear for hours, days, weeks, but the other I like, too.  Harry granger   Talk   contribs 16:24, March 12, 2013 (UTC)
"To Zanarkand" and "Rikku's Theme" from the same game I also find both quite soothing. Speaking of music, I had an idea-- how about including some relaxing music within the template? I was thinking maybe "Harry in Winter," which is both relaxing and sort of goes with the whole "chill out" theme. It wouldn't play automatically or anything (since that irritates some people), but it would be like the other song samples, where they could choose to play it. Oh, and about the template, I made a small tweak-- just a slight adjustment in wording regarding the Wikipedia link. ProfessorTofty (talk) 16:53, March 12, 2013 (UTC)
I think you may have missed it in the last message, and forgive me if you didn't, but what did you think of the idea of adding music to the template? ProfessorTofty (talk) 18:20, March 13, 2013 (UTC)
Coding should work just fine. I went ahead and added it just now-- take a look and let me know what you think. ProfessorTofty (talk) 18:27, March 13, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Template and film

Glad you liked it. And, sure, I've seen all the films, more than once. ProfessorTofty (talk) 18:39, March 13, 2013 (UTC)

I thought it was nice. Sometimes the films can't always show everything that's in a book, but they present a different aspect to the character. In the books, it was really more about Lupin and James, but here we saw something different. There was a lot of good stuff in the Prisoner of Azkaban film, though some not-so-good stuff as well. For example, I wasn't a big fan of the scene when Lupin is transforming into the werewolf and Sirius Black is grabbing him and he's like "this flesh is only flesh." He's a werewolf-- Sirius would know that grabbing him and shaking him isn't going to accomplish anything and that's not what he needs to be doing at that moment. ProfessorTofty (talk) 18:55, March 13, 2013 (UTC)
That is true-- the scene does make more sense when you consider the fact that Lupin was unhinged. That's interesting about the interview there. I'm definitely curious to find out more about Lupin-- judging by the poll on the homepage, it looks like a lot of other people are too. Seems to me we're due for some new Pottermore material soon. ProfessorTofty (talk) 20:10, March 13, 2013 (UTC)
Your estimate sounds good to me. It has been a while since the last one and the new content from the books and Rowling is the main thing that keeps people coming back currently, so I imagine they'll want to have more out soon. ProfessorTofty (talk) 20:26, March 13, 2013 (UTC)

That's so fantastic! Thank you for the heads-up! ProfessorTofty (talk) 18:56, March 14, 2013 (UTC)

Rubeus Hagrid's cabin

Hi, Hunnie Bunn! I have a question. I saw your change to the page. It was once called "Hagrid's hut", then called "Rubeus Hagrid's cabin" because of Pottermore. Now you call it again "Hagrid's Hut, but the Pottermore source is standing already there. Has Pottermore really changed the name back to "Hagrid's Hut"?  Harry granger   Talk   contribs 17:35, March 16, 2013 (UTC)

Oh, that's interesting. Perhaps the article should then be renamed again to this "new / old" name with capitalized "Hut".  Harry granger   Talk   contribs 19:00, March 16, 2013 (UTC)

  2. Week: How should it be? A week with going to work. The weather was half and half. Work was half and half. But I have my hobbies and they give me pleasure. Work was o. k., but the weather makes me a headache. But all in all it's o.k. How was your week?  Harry granger   Talk   contribs 19:16, March 16, 2013 (UTC)
Sure, but could you link me to the page in question where it calls it this? ProfessorTofty (talk) 20:42, March 16, 2013 (UTC)
Hmm, I'm not sure of this one. It seems like it's just being used as a heading, more than anything. Down at the bottom it says "HAGRID'S WOODEN HOUSE." What do you think? ProfessorTofty (talk) 20:50, March 16, 2013 (UTC)
Could be, but that line was from the first book. ProfessorTofty (talk) 22:10, March 16, 2013 (UTC)
Fair enough. I'll go ahead and make the move now. ProfessorTofty (talk) 03:45, March 17, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, I guess I sort of forgot about that feature and nobody else had mentioned it before now. Since you have one ready for Dumbledore, sure we can go ahead and do him next. ProfessorTofty (talk) 01:59, March 18, 2013 (UTC)

PlayStation Home and Pottermore Hint

Yeah, I do have PlayStation Home-- everyone who has a PlayStaton 3 and an account on the PlayStation Network can get access to it for free, though I haven't used it in a long time. This might just lure me back to it. And, no, I hadn't yet seen that particular article on the Insider, so I hadn't seen that bit about "the coming weeks." That's neat that it should be released soon.

Oh, I made a minor edit to your Archives section above, just correcting "2012" to "2013" on the second one. ProfessorTofty (talk) 01:14, March 19, 2013 (UTC)

It's because the DVD does not use a specific wand design for the wand: the first and second try (the wands that you do not get to keep) are always featured as the generic yellow wand (this one) and your third try is always the dark one with the clear handle (this one), regardless of what the wand is. So, conceivably, any of those wands (beechwood and dragon heartstring, ebony and unicorn hair and Holly and phoenix tail feather) could be represented by any of those images -- the DVD does not assign each a specific look. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 21:10, March 19, 2013 (UTC)

Philosopher's Stone and Hagrid

Say, you had asked me a little while back about the thing with Lupin and Lily in the third film, and I wanted to bounce something off of you. I was re-reading Philosopher's Stone (you might have seen some of my edits regarding it) and I'm afraid that in doing so, I lost a bit of respect for Hagrid. It has to do with the whole dragon thing and what happened with Harry, Hermione and Neville. When you get down to it, what happened with Harry and Hermione was only because they were trying to do Hagrid a favour and with Neville it's even worse because he just got dragged into the whole thing, trying to help Harry & Hermione. Everything went down the way it did because Hagrid had an illegal dragon. Okay, so maybe he didn't want to go to Dumbledore, but it seems to me he could have done a lot more for them, especially Neville. Harry, Hermione and Neville get caught and up until the end of the school year, they're treated as the scum of the earth, and the only contact that we hear of with them having with Hagrid is when they come with him that night to do their detentions. And Neville is paired up with stinkin' Draco Malfoy to get scared out of his wits. Sheesh. Now maybe this is Rowling showing us again that even those characters that we find likeable have their human flaws, but this was really disappointing on Hagrid's part if you ask me. ProfessorTofty (talk) 04:42, March 20, 2013 (UTC)

Agreed about the whole "Muggle" thing-- Hagrid really should have watched his words there. And I guess what I was thinking was that even if he wasn't willing to turn himself in, there were ways that he could have made things easier for them-- be it a kind word, inviting them over to his cabin more often, or otherwise helping them. ProfessorTofty (talk) 21:07, March 20, 2013 (UTC)

Death Eaters Renaming

I was wondering if you could take a moment to weigh in on the possible renaming of Death Eaters-- personally, I'm against it, but I'd like to get some other thoughts first. ProfessorTofty (talk) 00:43, March 25, 2013 (UTC)

Linking of wikis

Hi, Hunnie Bunn! It's a while ago when you had thought about linking of the Harry Potter Wiki to Potterpedia Wiki or Potter Dictionary Wiki and I was not sure if this is allowed because of the same language. I now had another question on the Community Wiki and then asked for this, too. Perhaps you are interested in the answer. The answer came from the admin, who offered his help, before a request is made.  Harry granger   Talk   contribs 20:08, March 28, 2013 (UTC)

Hey there Hunnie Bunn; I'm Belac Reteet.  I know you haven't seen me for a long time, but I was wondering if you could help me with something.  I'm trying to open a profile for my brother, but every time I finish the process; it says "sorry, we are unable to register your account at this time" or something like that.  Is there a problem with the internet right now?  Any way; call me back.  Catch ya later!belacreteet (talk) 16:16, April 9, 2013 (UTC)

RPG site

I'm the owner of the site. This is the home page: If you read the banner, I made that banner it says: "Therefore, we are closing the site" Please. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Colex7 (talkcontribs).

I don't understand how every time I edit it ther'es always a contradiction to it. It's an advertisement, that's why it's there, what do you mean scheme? I'm getting frustrated now. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Colex7 (talkcontribs).

Re: Chat

Sure, anytime we have a chance. I had hoped to catch you on last night, but you had apparently already signed off for the night. Anyway, if I happen to see you, editing, then I'll send you a message, or vice versa, and we can hop on. ProfessorTofty (talk) 13:01, April 14, 2013 (UTC)

I'm on the chat now if you're still around. ProfessorTofty (talk) 23:41, April 14, 2013 (UTC)

Because of a "Thank you for helping" you got INFINITELY BANNED by Pottermore? What's going on there? There are rumours in the German Pottermore that some users abuse the "Report this"-button for getting users of other houses banned for increase their own opportunities on the house cup. I don't know if this is true. But that is all very ridiculous. I've yet added you as friend. But I don't understand this. BTW, your quote on your user page is missing the end brackets.  Harry granger   Talk   contribs 21:55, April 16, 2013 (UTC)

Yes, it's a pity you didn't get it again. But you know: There are also nice Slytherins and you are one of them and now you know more of this common room, I think. :-) Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Slytherin - 3 common rooms, only missing Ravenclaw. How many users can say they know so many common rooms. That's interesting that you also in English and French Pottermore sites have read these rumours. Looks as if it would be true. BTW: Are you a French-Canadian?  Harry granger   Talk   contribs 22:04, April 16, 2013 (UTC)
Oh that's very interesting. All four common rooms, House Cup for you! Sorry for your father, but he left you the knowledge of the French language. I had French on school and I am also in the French Harry Potter Wiki. That's very interesting.  Harry granger   Talk   contribs 22:15, April 16, 2013 (UTC)
No, you should not think this way. It's not your fault that you were banned - not for this - and it's not your "fault" that you were sorted into Slytherin. No one knows which answers belong to which house or if it changes from time to time, also a possibility. It's either luck or it's pity. And - BTW - we Badgers know how to fight, let's wait and see who is the winner at the end. :P :D  Harry granger   Talk   contribs 22:28, April 16, 2013 (UTC)

Quote on your user page

Hunnie Bunn, you put a wonderful quote on your user page. It's really great and so true, wonderful.  Harry granger   Talk   contribs 23:08, April 16, 2013 (UTC)

Inspiration quotes blog

While the sentiment is nice, I don't think an exception can really be made in this case, and so I had no choice to delete the blog according to the blog policy. If you want to share a quote or few on your userpage, that's fine (and I know that you do have one on there), though. ProfessorTofty (talk) 01:09, April 17, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Harry Potter films

Are you able to make purchases online? ProfessorTofty (talk) 01:25, April 17, 2013 (UTC)

Hmm. Usually, if something is rare in stores, then my fallback is to purchase it online. Do you have any big box retailers that you might try? Are there any Best Buys in your area? What about any major bookstores like a Barnes & Noble or anything like that? Sometimes those sell DVDs as well. ProfessorTofty (talk) 01:30, April 17, 2013 (UTC)
You're welcome. The only other thing I can think of is that they have cards you can buy in stores now that work sort of like credit cards, except you actually load money onto them at the time, and then you can use them just for a one-use thing or as-needed online. If you're considering the option of buying online, that might be something that could work to, or just to get set up, and then get a Paypal account. It might be worth considering, though I imagine you might have to talk to your parents about it. ProfessorTofty (talk) 01:39, April 17, 2013 (UTC)
P.P.S.: You could also scout second-hand stores, though I don't know if any of the Harry Potter films are very common there. ProfessorTofty (talk) 01:40, April 17, 2013 (UTC)

It depends. It's not canon by itself, but it can have canon material (provided it is properly referenced, of course). Why do you ask? --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 22:59, April 17, 2013 (UTC)

If it's unsourced, then no, it wouldn't be appropriate. But, the Switching Spell page already gives a similar explanation, taken from Goblet of Fire: swapping a dragon's fangs for wine-gums. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 23:41, April 17, 2013 (UTC)
I'd stick with the dragon example, as it is the only explicitly given in canon. And, no, the game does not provide any additional information about the match to needle spell: at some point in the game, if you enter the Transfiguration classroom, McGonagall will be lecturing a class on that spell, and will dock you house points for interrupting her class. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 18:19, April 18, 2013 (UTC)

Would you like to split with me in changing the remainder of those pages that have the "Wonderbook" template to "Wonderbookold"? If we each take half, we should be able to get it done quickly. I could do A-M and you N-Z. ProfessorTofty (talk) 21:25, April 18, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks! And all done. Nice work! ProfessorTofty (talk) 23:06, April 18, 2013 (UTC)

Because as he was the one who devised the Potion Riddle in the Underground Chambers, he would have been the one to pen the poem with the clues. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 00:57, April 21, 2013 (UTC)

I hope you don't mind if I moved the discussion to Harry Potter's talk page. MinorStoop 13:17, April 21, 2013 (UTC)

I actually got the picture of a fan website if that's what you wanted to know :0 Slovestigers (talk) Slovestigers
