Robyn Lane

Hi! I saw your contrubition to the Robyn Lane page

{C}Please place it here: Talk:Robyn Lane

I made a comment back to you in Robyn Lane's talk page. Just FYI.

Animals

Thanks, it looks good. I'll use some of the information off of it.

RE:Ifeoma Oboko

Actually I was only cleaning up another user's edit. I double-checked the reference and IMDb says only that she played a Gryffindor schoolgirl, so it's been removed. Good catch. - Nick O'Demus 18:41, June 9, 2010 (UTC)

Sourcing

If you are going to add sources to articles, please remember to use the reference template (ie the footnotes). A good example of how an article should be source is Second Wizarding War. --JKochRavenclawcrest(Owl Me!) 19:26, June 28, 2010 (UTC)

Just look at the following in source:

Then you need to add reflist to the bottom of the article.

--JKochRavenclawcrest(Owl Me!) 22:42, June 28, 2010 (UTC)

RE:Help for sourcing articles !!!

Adding sources to articles is easy enough. Just place the reference in between . It should look something like this:

Also, when adding references, make sure the article has a "Notes and references" section. If it doesn't, add one at the bottom of the article and write reflist in it.

I hope I've been of assistance. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 13:27, June 30, 2010 (UTC)

Answer about me

No, I have one account. When I created my signature, I made it better reflect my actual name. There is precedent. User:You-Know-Who's signature reads "Enrico." --JKochRavenclawcrest(Owl Me!) 23:43, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

Charlie Weasley

It would also be very stupid of them to leave him out, seeing as how we can see him in the picture in the third movie, and he was mentioned, by name, in the first and fourth movies, if I am not mistaken (the parts with the dragons of course). I know the movies have inconsistencies, but that would leave a rather big one, don't you think?

CoolDudeAl 05:01, July 8, 2010 (UTC)

RE:Maurice Netto

"Maurice" striked me as a female name, but it is not, you're right. Next time bear in mind that articles do not belong exclusively to an editor; they belong to the whole community. As such, corrections are very helpful and welcome! =) Thanks again, --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 22:05, July 22, 2010 (UTC)

RE:Birthday

I didn't add the information, I just cleaned up the information someone else left. Sorry, I can't help you. --JKochRavenclawcrest(Owl Me!) 17:16, August 27, 2010 (UTC)

RE:Deathly Hallows: Part 2

Hello! Surely you mean Deathly Hallows: Part 1? I don't know what in blazes happened. I made another change to the article and the references were all fixed. Weird. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 20:48, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

Indeed. No offense taken! Also, I should ask you to mind your language: we do not want to offend any of our most impressionable readers/editors. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 21:21, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

re gemma jones

Hey, thanks for the catch! I can't believe I didn't notice that, lol, that's what I get for editing late at night when I'm tired! :-) --BachLynn23 13:14, September 12, 2010 (UTC)

re arielle brown

I don't know what source says that Hannah went with Seamus, but I have 2 sources that say he went with a Arielle: {C}http://www.ariellebrown.com/(Arielle's website) http://www.snitchseeker.com/harry-potter-news/yule-ball-dancers-update-22621/index2.html

Maybe he just danced with Arielle's character at the yule ball, like technically padma and parvati went with Ron and Harry but also danced with others..... I'll get an admin to take a look, see what they think. --BachLynn23 20:34, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

Problem with interface today

Hi. Thank you for your answer. Now it seems better. On the beginning it was only with Firefox, but later IE and Chrome too doesn't work. At this time, the 3 work again. Fabienne --   Famini    talk    contribs   19:24, September 29, 2010 (UTC)

RE:Template Question

{C}Well I'm not Starstuff, but I think I can answer your question. On the Birthday template, what is meant "modify it as necessary" is that where it says "personalized message" in the example is where you put your own message. For example, something like:

Have a nice year!

or

Hope you get lots of presents!

Let me know if you have any other questions. - Nick O'Demus 03:54, October 15, 2010 (UTC)

Nick's answer is correct. Starstuff (Owl me!) 19:27, October 18, 2010 (UTC)

Victoire Weasley

Wotcha Harry granger! I got your message about the two people in the background of Rose's photo. I think you're right! The bloke does look like Luke, so I'd say those two are Teddy and Victoire. Anyway, can't wait for Hallows part 1, only 3 weeks left! Hope you enjoy it. If the girl is Victoire, she suits the part, but if it was me I'd have picked Jayne Wisener (if you've seen Sweeney Todd, you'll know her as Johanna).--Mr. Mortimer 00:46, 31 Oct 2010 (UTC)

RE: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1

I think it's a glitch having to do with the new wiki skin, I've seen it come up a couple of times already. Usually, making a minor edit and saving the page fixes it back to the way it was. Try checking it now. - Nick O'Demus 22:22, November 3, 2010 (UTC)

Talk pages/ comments

Thanks for the heads up - I'm aware of the talk pages not being "gone", but as you said it is a pain to reach them, which is my primary concern. Also, to my mind, article comments are fine for a more "social" wiki, but this is an informative encyclopedia and comments sections are a poor substitute for a proper, archiveable talk page. - Cavalier OneGryffindorcrest(Wizarding Wireless Network) 19:53, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

Main Image Dolores Umbridge

I understand that, but the image itself is from the interview, and not the film. Thefore the image is of Imelda Staunton, and not Dolores Umbridge. Jayden Matthews 20:49, November 9, 2010 (UTC)

Salo Gardner / Gardener

It's alright. One source says his surname is Gardner, while another source says it's Gardener. Very confused one. Which one it is, we will probaly never know. You don't have to say sorry ;) it's because of the sources.--Station7 20:44, November 17, 2010 (UTC)

Apparate

The words Apparate and Dissapparate are always capitalized in the text like the word Patronus. --JKochRavenclawcrest(Owl Me!) 19:37, November 30, 2010 (UTC)

re: user page

Hi! I noticed that user:85.167.56.135 had put that your hair was Assblonde instead of Ashblonde, I also gave the user a warning for vandalism. --BachLynnGryffindorcrest(Accio!) 00:39, December 20, 2010 (UTC)

I know, random vandalism like that has happened to a few of us for no apparent reason, unfortunately some people are just petty and immature like that. --BachLynnGryffindorcrest(Accio!) 00:51, December 20, 2010 (UTC)

Followed pages

Harry granger, to remove items from your followed pages go to Special:Watchlist, then click the link that says "View and edit watchlist". It will list all pages you are watching. Just deselect those you no longer wish to follow, and save the changes. - Cavalier OneGryffindorcrest(Wizarding Wireless Network) 08:44, December 20, 2010 (UTC)

re: help

Hey, it's all fixed, you were just missing the closing set of ]] brackets at the end.... :-) --BachLynnGryffindorcrest(Accio!) 21:58, December 30, 2010 (UTC) {C}Thank you very much for your prompt help. I got a little bit nervous because I did not want to vandalise, I only tried to help. And then this crash. So thanks again. Harry granger 22:00, December 30, 2010 (UTC)

Hey, not problem, that's what I'm here for, lol! Anytime you need anything I'm usually online from 8am till 9pm 7 days a week (currently jobless and going to school online)....later! --BachLynnGryffindorcrest(Accio!) 22:05, December 30, 2010 (UTC)

re:writing supplies

I didn't create the article, just edited it. Not sure. --BachLynnGryffindorcrest(Accio!) 20:16, January 9, 2011 (UTC)

Yea, I agree, at first I just thought it might have been a British thing, but that's definitely not the case (I looked it up in an Oxford dictionary). --BachLynnGryffindorcrest(Accio!) 20:24, January 9, 2011 (UTC)

re:project

Actually I was trying to connect it to the painting (Günther der Gewalttätige ist der Gewinner), and not the person, but on the rough draft (project page) I didn't grab the right link, but made the correction directly to the template instead , as I also did with the other templates where it said fourth floor on each one (I got a little too "control/paste happy" lol), there's a few things that I changed to the final created templates and to the Hogwarts Castle page, that I didn't go back and make to my rough draft page, but thanks for keeping an eye out :-) --BachLynnGryffindorcrest(Accio!) 18:44, January 10, 2011 (UTC)

RE:User page problem

Sorry about not replying sooner. Grunny mentioned that Wikia recently did an upgrade to a newer version of the MediaWiki software, and that there have been some issue swith people's preferences being reset during the upgrade (not to mention a few other glitches). This may be the source of your problem. - Nick O'Demus 07:26, January 22, 2011 (UTC)

re:templates

Cool, thanks, I had a feeling that would happen, the way the tables are set up on each position's article it's by team, so some names are listed twice in places, lol! So you like the Quidditch templates and prefect/head boy templates too? I hadn't decided yet to actually use them or not......--BachLynnGryffindorcrest(Accio!) 20:32, January 25, 2011 (UTC)

RE: Zacharias Smith

Yeah, it's definately wrong. In Half-Blood Prince Harry shakes hands with an individual identified as "the Hufflepuff Captain" before the start of the match. If it was meant to be Smith J.K. Rowling would have wrote "Harry and Smith shook hands". Jayden Matthews 15:57, May 1, 2011 (UTC)

No. Smith has never been refered to as Captain. Jayden Matthews 16:06, May 1, 2011 (UTC)
I've fixed it. Jayden Matthews 16:13, May 1, 2011 (UTC)

No matter; fixed it. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 20:49, July 13, 2011 (UTC)

Hi there

Hi Harry granger. I'm new around here, and I'm finding the formatting on this project terribly frustrating (I'm used to easy stuff over at en.wikipedia). Do you know what happened at Hepzibah Smith? For some odd reason, the template has moved over the article's lead; I'm certain that shouldn't be happening. ceranthor 18:36, July 21, 2011 (UTC)

RE:Automatically refresh - Button

I don't know what has happened but, yeah, it seems to have stopped working. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 20:04, July 21, 2011 (UTC)

Here:
 1. Move your current talk page to User talk:your user name here/Archive (or Archive 1, Archive 2, etc.)
 2. Remove the redirect from User talk:your user name here, that should appear once you've made the move.
 3. Add a link to the new Archive at the top of your talk page.
--  Seth Cooper  owl post! 20:14, July 21, 2011 (UTC)
Just like every other link. Something like User talk:Harry granger/Archive. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 20:23, July 21, 2011 (UTC)
