RE:My talk page

You can now use this page as your current talk page. =) -- Seth Cooper owl post! 19:33, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

If you want to, yes. You may also want to include a link to the archive on this page (again, like I have on my talk page). -- Seth Cooper owl post! 19:36, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

Help

Hello GrouchMan, could you help with that problem too? Only it's for another site. -- Station7 19:53, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

The problem that you had with the archive, that I did. But the datum etc, how do you make those letters so little? -- Station7 20:07, November 17, 2009 (UTC)
I mean from 5th November 2009 to 17th November 2009. -- Station7 20:09, November 17, 2009 (UTC)
So I doesn't it matter how big or little those words are? -- Station7 20:17, November 17, 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. -- Station7 20:24, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

Re:Fredwii

Not that I know of, no. By the way, do remember to vote for/against the proposed changes to the Canon Policy here. -- Seth Cooper owl post! 21:15, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

There's a huge discussion going on about changing the canon policy as to that only book-canon should be included in the wiki. To cease the discussion, we've started a formal vote. -- Seth Cooper owl post! 21:41, November 18, 2009 (UTC)
I meant the exact opposite thing. Some users want to label all film-canon as non-canonical. -- Seth Cooper owl post! 21:50, November 18, 2009 (UTC)
You can read the details here. -- Seth Cooper owl post! 21:52, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

Remember to vote here. Jayden Matthews 21:54, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

Redirects on your own talk page

Fixing redirects our your own page will be fine, as long as you don't alter the actual message left by other users. I can understand you wanting to keep your own page tidy :) - Cavalier OneGryffindorcrest(Wizarding Wireless Network) 12:23, November 19, 2009 (UTC)

Re:JamesVI

Sorry for the late reply. I agree that we should be vigilant for any account that seems like it might be sockpuppet of JamesVI. Please notify me, Seth, or any admin if you see anything that raises suspicions. Thanks! Starstuff (Owl me!) 08:44, November 20, 2009 (UTC)

Fredwii

what makes you think Fredwii is really JamesVI? -- User:Harryhe User talk:Harryhe 4:36, 20 November 2009 (UTC) (Owl me!)

RE:Hobday family

I'll award you 5 points right away! -- Seth Cooper owl post! 01:22, November 21, 2009 (UTC)

Hello fellow wizard

Hey GrouchMan, you seem like a very impressive Harry Potter wizard. Now what are you, Gryfindor or Slytherin? I am slytherin, because i enjoy Blaise Zabini and Draco Malfoy. -- Darkdove 8 01:02, November 25, 2009 (UTC)

very cool! Why do you like Gryffindor, is there a reason? (not trying to be mean) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Darkdove 8 (talkcontribs).

Where?

Where are you on Wookieepedia? I couldn't find you. I'm on other wikia's to, but not that one. I was just wondering where you were on that site? I hope that that's fine ;) -- Station7 14:17, November 25, 2009 (UTC)

Where can I find your user page on Wookieepedia? Please say it if you don't understand me, I will do my best. -- Station7 17:07, November 25, 2009 (UTC)
Because I saw on your user page that you're an editor on Wookieepedia. -- Station7 17:11, November 25, 2009 (UTC)

RE:Harryhe

I'm certain of it. For one thing - his signature is identical to JamesVI's and Fredwii's. But mainly my suspision comes from the fact that he asked you why you thought Fredwii and JamesVI were the same person. He's a new user. How would he even know about JamesVI. Jayden Matthews 20:17, November 25, 2009 (UTC)

That doesn't mean exactly nothing, if I could see my meaning. If I ask about another person, could it be that someone don't wanna have that second account deleted, because those vandalism people are smart. On the lostpedia site, they thought that I was using to 2 other users, because we react at around the same time. I was mostly deleted, but not because they checked it for nothing. With this I mean that you not have to trust everybody just because of that reaction. He could probaly defence himself, but at the other hand not. Think about this. -- Station7 20:47, November 25, 2009 (UTC)

You're welcome. Happy Thanksgiving. -- Seth Cooper owl post! 21:34, November 26, 2009 (UTC)

Hi

Hi T.J.. How ya doing? Jayden Matthews 19:13, November 26, 2009 (UTC)

Happy Thanksgiving to you too! I'm quite well, thanks. In fact, I've got something to share with you. These past few weeks I've been working a new skin for this site, which I'll propose to the community when it's completely finished. You can have a preview, if you'd like. Jayden Matthews 19:35, November 26, 2009 (UTC)
It's called a skin. Basically it's what determines the appearance of the Wiki itself. I don't dislike the current one. I just think it could be alot better. Anway, you can view my project here [1]. Let me know what you think. Jayden Matthews 20:33, November 26, 2009 (UTC)
So, what do you think of it? Jayden Matthews 20:51, November 26, 2009 (UTC)
Really? I'm so glad! It still needs alot of work though. Hopefully It'll be ready the propose in a few days. I'm not sure what the reaction from the community will be, though. Jayden Matthews 21:16, November 26, 2009 (UTC)
I hope so. I think the main reaction will be - "if it ain't broke don't fix it". I guess we will find out soon enough. Jayden Matthews 21:25, November 26, 2009 (UTC)
Hi T.J. How's it hanging? I've made a few changes to my project, if you'd care to take a look. Jayden Matthews 20:33, November 29, 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm good, thanks. Just so you know, I've opened a forum discussing my proposal, if you want to leave your comments. Jayden Matthews 12:38, November 30, 2009 (UTC)
Here's the place. Jayden Matthews 12:46, November 30, 2009 (UTC)
You're welcome. Jayden Matthews 17:48, November 30, 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. Jayden Matthews 18:55, December 1, 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the advice. I will archive it soon. Jayden Matthews 19:25, December 4, 2009 (UTC)

Re:Hey

Not too bad, all things considered. I had a pretty bad case of the flu early last week (regular, not swine). The first couple of days were the worst, but once I got past that, I was alright. Unfortunately, I had to skip Thanksgiving with my family, since my grandmother and my step-father's mother are both pretty frail, and I couldn't risk being around them while I was still contagious. We did a brunch earlier this week to make up for it, so I still got to spend some time with family, and they saved some turkey and stuff for me. My brother and my dad were also in town for their birthdays (Dec. 2nd, same day), so we went out for dinner last night, and I'm making plans to visit my grandparents for Christmas.

I've been working on trimming down the Wanted Pages list for the last few days, and I'm just about done. The list only updates once a day, around 07:00 (Wiki time), and once it does the next cache, it should be down to around 300. Since it was around 950 when I started, I'd say that's pretty good. Some of the remaining links are in some Users' talk pages and archives, so I'm going to be asking them for permission to go in and clean them up, which should knock out another 50 or so. The ones that are left are linked to templates, and I'm not going to mess with those, since too many things could go wrong from even slight changes that could negatively affect the Wiki. Thanks for asking. - Nick O'Demus 16:49, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

About once every 2 or 3 months. - Nick O'Demus 17:03, December 3, 2009 (UTC)
Yup. It was 20 years ago, so don't worry, it's not exactly a touchy subject with me. - Nick O'Demus 17:11, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

Rolf Scamander

I've been changing the family infoboxes of the scamander family since the policy says that only two generations may be put in the infobox, you have changed it back, why? -- Ratneer (Owl me) 22:36, December 7, 2009 (UTC)

RE:RE:Rolf Scamander

Thats O.K., I just wanted to make sure there wasnt another reason you kept her on there. -- Ratneer (Owl me) 22:49, December 7, 2009 (UTC)

RE:RE:RE:RE:Rolf Scamanader

Well, I would say just because even Luna is a sort of major character, her husbands great great grandmother would not be important enough to be an exception to the 2 generations rule. -- Ratneer (Owl me) 23:10, December 7, 2009 (UTC)

Voting

Hi T.J.. Just to let you know, voting is now open on the skin issue. Jayden Matthews 13:34, December 10, 2009 (UTC)

Relationship Categories

I noticed you've created a few "PERSON HERE's Relationships". Don't you think they are a bit... I don't know a word for it. There is only like 2 or 3 articles per category, is it really necessary? -- Ratneer Owl Me! 21:41, December 14, 2009 (UTC)

I don't know, to me its seems like its just making categories to make categories. I mean, Its not like there are huge numbers in them, there like one or two. -- Ratneer Owl Me! 22:02, December 14, 2009 (UTC)
I've seen no admins on since you created them. I guess I will start a discussion on the forum, see what everyone else thinks. -- Ratneer Owl Me! 22:15, December 14, 2009 (UTC)
Huh? You created those category a short while ago, I'm saying I haven't seen any admins on since then. -- Ratneer Owl Me! 22:25, December 14, 2009 (UTC)
I said that the categories you made were unnecessary, You said they were necessary, and you said that if the admins had a problem, then they would of said something. I said, that the admins haven't had a chance to see your new categories because none of them have been editing since you made the categories. BTW. I don't think it matters if the admins have seen them, its not like they are Supreme Ruler or anything lol. -- Ratneer Owl Me! 22:31, December 14, 2009 (UTC)
Not really. The administrators are only there because they are trusted users who have special tools to deal with vandalism and other site related things. You, Me and the admins are all equal as editors, Arguments like "It is correct because an admin said so" doesn't work, because the admins have no actual authority over editors.
Administrators can't just block people willy nilly. If they do, they can be reported to central wikia. I am trying to find a article I saw once about admins. All editors are equal. That includes Admins.
I hope I don't come off as rude. By all means tell me if I am. BTW: If you wanted to check out the forum post for those categories you created and post your opinion, It's Here -- Ratneer Owl Me! 22:53, December 14, 2009 (UTC)

Sorry

I'm sorry, I feel like an Idiot now. I hadn't realize there had been categories from other romantic relationships. Totally my fault, I should've researched it. -- Ratneer Owl Me! 22:59, December 14, 2009 (UTC)

Weird

I just undid a vandalism edit over on the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry article, but for some reason the page's history shows my edit as being 4 hours ago, BEFORE the vandal, but if you look at the revisions, mine is still the most recent. What's new?

Hi T.J.. What's new? Jayden Matthews 19:05, December 21, 2009 (UTC)

Pretty much the same. I just got a new job, so I've got some cash coming in. My family's fine, thanks for asking. Everyone's moving on. Jayden Matthews 19:20, December 21, 2009 (UTC)

David Colbert‎‎

You might want to hold off on that. There was already a forum discussion on the subject of unofficial guidebooks, and several of the admins said not to do articles for each of them. However, as mentioned in the forum, I still think a single "List of Harry Potter unofficial guidebooks" article would be a good idea, I just hadn't gotten around to it. Want to help? - Nick O'Demus 13:45, December 22, 2009 (UTC)

Amazon.com is a good place to start. I'm thinking along the lines of the List of Harry Potter fan websites. It would list each book by title, with author and publisher names and weblinks if possible, and a short, one or two sentence description. - Nick O'Demus 13:52, December 22, 2009 (UTC)
I started the article. Right now I've just listed a couple of them and used the Amazon.com links. Links to the authors or publishers are preferable, and I'll try to find them and some more details about each book as I go along. This'll probably end up being a fairly big article eventually. I don't think it'll be necessary to list them on the list of fan websites article too, it'd just be kind of redundant. - Nick O'Demus 14:09, December 22, 2009 (UTC)

Ernie Macmillan

I saw on Seth Cooper's talk page that you noticed that too. It's this guy again. As soon as they get done with the Ernie Macmillan page, they'll just move on to another, so keep an eye out for IP's starting with 142.68. - Nick O'Demus 14:50, December 22, 2009 (UTC)

Re:Prewett brothers

Some articles serve as informational hubs, gathering information on a broad topic and giving a general overview of it, like Dark Arts, Hogwarts, etc. The issue that I see with pages like Fabian and Gideon Prewett, Fred and George Weasley, and Parvati and Padma Patil is that the relationships between these people are already covered in their individual articles, and a relationship doesn't seem like a broad enough topic to warrant its own summary article. I can also see these pages leading to the creation of a lot similar pages (James and Lily Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, etc.). That's why I think that pages like Fabian and Gideon Prewett should remain strictly disambiguation pages. Starstuff (Owl me!) 11:05, December 30, 2009 (UTC)

I've created a topic about this on the forum here. Most of what I say is copied from the above post, but if you wish to comment, you can do so there. Starstuff (Owl me!) 11:28, December 30, 2009 (UTC)

RE:Hey buddy

I had a great Christmas, thanks. First Christmas in a new house, so kinda weird at the same time. I got mainly clothes, jewlery and money. And a digital camera from my mum. What about you? Jayden Matthews 15:42, December 31, 2009 (UTC

Cool, what do you drive? Yeah, it was pretty tough for my mum, although it wasn't technically our first christmas apart, as he left home over a year ago. I know this is going to make me sound like a terrible person, but there wasn't really any love lost between me and Corey. In fact, the last thing he said to me before leaving home was that he didn't consider me his brother anymore and that he didn't ever want to see me again, so... Jayden Matthews 16:10, December 31, 2009 (UTC)
No, I've got two sisters. Well, he'd just finished college, and was going to study in America for a year. I knew I wasn't going to see him for a very long time, so I bit the bullet and told him that I'm gay. I pretty much got the reaction I was expecting. Jayden Matthews 16:24, December 31, 2009 (UTC)
You didn't? I've even got a gay userbox on my page. Well, you learn something new every day. Yeah they were fine about it. Jayden Matthews 18:25, December 31, 2009 (UTC)
None taken. I coudn't tell you why. I'd like to think he was just very insecure. Jayden Matthews 18:33, December 31, 2009 (UTC)

Hello GrouchMan, I think I have a good name for a new article. I don't know if you agree, but it's about this: Cast and crew crossovers. What do you think? -- Station7 16:22, January 1, 2010 (UTC)

I'm waiting for a reaction from Seth Cooper. -- Station7 17:00, January 1, 2010 (UTC)
Yes, you could react on the Forum: Cast and Crew Crossovers about your opinion. But that's not a real article, isn't it? Seth Cooper said it was better to make a topic for this. -- Station7 18:10, January 1, 2010 (UTC)

I'm off

Hi T.J.. I think I can safely say that you and I have been particularly good friends over the past few months. So, I wanted to let you know that I'm leaving the Harry Potter Wiki, possibly for good. Thank you for being there for me, and for being a good friend. Jayden Matthews 13:13, January 6, 2010 (UTC)

Please don't take offense, but I've come to the realization that Wiki editing is the antithesis of what life is supposed to be. I used to practically live at the skate park. Now, my first instinct upon getting up in the morning is to switch on the computer and sit here for hours on end. It's not only a serious waste of time, but detrimental to both health and sanity! So I'm going try to and get my life back to what it was before Corey died and I got addicted to this site. I hope this makes sense to you and I'm not coming across as a huge jerk? Jayden Matthews 13:57, January 6, 2010 (UTC)
I'm glad to here that. It's unlikely, to be honest. I'd love to keep in touch with you though, if you'd like my e-mail? I just feel I need to break out of this apathetic rut that I'm currently stuck in and start living properly again. Jayden Matthews 14:16, January 6, 2010 (UTC)

Re:User name

Sorry for that. Grounchman sounds to me cool to, but GrouchMan is much cooler of course. I don't why is said that a few times, but sometimes words change in my mind for some reason. And that makes GrouchMan is Grounchman. I'm not doing that with a purpose.--Station7 14:42, January 7, 2010 (UTC)

That's good GrouchMan.--Station7 14:50, January 7, 2010 (UTC)
GrouchMan, are you on the Muppet Wikia to?--Station7 15:54, January 7, 2010 (UTC)
That people call I Vandalism people.--Station7 16:01, January 7, 2010 (UTC)
Those guys are really silly. Why did they blocked you?--Station7 17:10, January 7, 2010 (UTC)
On my own old site, I was blocked to. But I was going to Angela, the Wikia administrator. Because of them, I did need a new block. So I made myself unblocked, but 2 days later I was removed to. When I was going to Angela, the user block she gave, made it on-usable. I couldn't use it. So I start a new site.
Looks like we are on the same line, GrouchMan.--Station7 18:08, January 7, 2010 (UTC)
I am deleted for nothing! You to and mistakes happening always, and that's not a good reason to block a user.--Station7 18:11, January 7, 2010 (UTC)
Yes, it's really ridicoulous. Thanks to Angela, it worked one time, but the second time not by those weard guys. Aw, I have another reason why I hate them. On lostpedia, those 2 users react on the same time with me. So they suspect that I had 3 users. Because I type very fast. Good reason, but they had the wrong guys. Those other 2 users, Awesomelost and Lostienumberone we're the guys who did it (the guys to who blocked me).
I asked to the administrator from lostpedia: Blue Eagle Island. I asked what was going on after he deleted them. He checked my user IP to. I had to calm down from him. Yes, why would I clam down, if they don't trust me? That's ridicoulous. Glad I'm still on the site as a normal person, not that I'm really normal (joke). Could I reveal a little secret to you from me? I know your trustworthy. --Station7 18:21, January 7, 2010 (UTC)
Here is the secret:I have autism, GrouchMan. Have you ever heard of that? I have no friends. --Station7 18:30, January 7, 2010 (UTC)
I think we're now really on the same line.--Station7 18:34, January 7, 2010 (UTC)
