Thanks for the welcome! Sorry for respondin so late! So am I going too far with cleaning the redirects up? -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!) 20:48, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
Hi GrouchMan! Your edits are at the moment, great! Could you make a major edit to the near-featured article, Wizard's father (The Wizard and the Hopping Pot) then vote it to become featured? As you can see on my userpage, there is a section where you can request to be my friend. Do you want to? Friends help each other with articles and are generally friendly! --Hellabore(Deathly Hallows)
Sounds great! How do I get into this personal system? I'll do the best I can!! What's your first name by the way so I'll know what to refer to you as? Thanks!! -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!) 1:40, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
Well you can refer me as Ella. To become my friend, I need a small summary of you then I can decide whether you should be my friend. Use this "template":
Name: T.J. Fitzgerald
Age (only if you want to say):
Hobbies & intrests: Swimming, drawing
Favorite band/musician: ABBA
Favorite food: Rice Pilaf
Fave non-hp movie: The Great Muppet Caper
Fave HP book: The Chamber of Secrets
Fave HP movie: The Goblet of Fire
Fave character(s) and why: Harry because he always thinks about others before himself
Not at all. You're doing a great job on it. I think you should make more edits apart from that, though. -- Seth Cooper(Owl Post) 15:17, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
Thanks Seth! By the way my name is T.J. so you know just so you don't have to call me GrouchMan all the time! I'll edit in whatever ways that you can think of but fixing redirects is really what I'm best at!! -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!) 15:28, 10 June 10 2009 (UTC)
Also, if I leave a message on your talk page, please respond on mine or I may never know you responded. -- Matoro183(Talk) 19:31, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
Sorry for not responding right away. I was at work and can't be near a computer all the time. -- GrouchMan (Send an owl then scram!) 21:35, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
No, you can do it too. It would be very helpful! -- Seth Cooper(Owl Post) 17:17, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
I'm not sure. You'd probably have to go through the log and count them all.--Matoro183(Talk) 19:38, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
More like 1 or 2 a week. I don't give out my name, just call me Matoro.--Matoro183(Talk) 19:50, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
It can vary. This week there were 5, last week there were 16.--Matoro183(Talk) 19:58, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
Not all of them were banned, some were just temp blocked. See Template:Userbox for how to create your own userbox. Please create it in the user namespace (ex: User:GrouchMan/NAMEOFUSERBOX).--Matoro183(Talk) 20:03, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
Whatever it's about. Ex: User:GrouchMan/Ravenclaw.--Matoro183(Talk) 11:36, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
Sorry about the late response. If you ever want to see how many users have been blocked this week, just look here. You have to count them yourself and figure out which days were this week. The time is ahead because your time zone is different then the time set for the server.--Matoro183(Talk) 12:08, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
It is unnecessary for you to change links that go to a redirect page to the page being redirected to. I know that doesn't make any sense, so here's an example. This is something I noticed you recently doing. If Lord Voldemort appears in a page, you don't need to change it to Lord Voldemort. The Lord Voldemort page already links to Tom Riddle, so you don't need to change it so that it links to Tom Riddle, because technically it already does. Do you understand what I'm trying to say?--Matoro183(Talk) 00:26, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
It's alright, it just doesn't really do anything. If you like fixing links, then you should check Special:DoubleRedirects every once and a while.--Matoro183(Talk) 00:36, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
There's actually nothing there right now. But whenever there are two redirects in a row Redirect --> Redirect --> Desired page, then it pops up there, and it tells you what link is messed up.--Matoro183(Talk) 00:41, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
Yeah. It doesn't actually do anything.--Matoro183(Talk) 01:05, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
There's nothing really wrong with fixing the redirects, it just doesn't really do anything. It would be helpful if you added pictures, yes.--Matoro183(Talk) 12:08, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
I agree on what Matoro183 said here, it is unnecessary for you to change links that go to a redirect page to the page being redirected to. And i want to repeat If you like fixing links, then you should check Special:DoubleRedirects --ÈnŔîčö DC(Send me an Owl!) 18:11, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
Okay! here's a list of broken links here in Harry Potter Wiki: Broken links I hope you can help us to fixed those. Many Thanks! --ÈnŔîčö DC(Send me an Owl!) 00:24, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
What do you mean? I still can edit specific sections of an article (in fact, I'm doing it right now!) -- Seth Cooperowl post! 20:24, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
No idea. I can still see the small "edit" buttons... Better contact other administrator, they might know what is it. -- Seth Cooperowl post! 20:30, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
I can't seem to think of any reason why you wouldn't be able to do that. There is a way to disable it, but it is only done on certain pages, like the Main Page. How long has this been happening?--Matoro183(Talk) 21:19, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
No idea, sorry. Formatting and technical details aren't really my specialty. The only times I've seen something like that happen were when I was looking in an article's history at previous revisions. - Nick O'Demus 16:51, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
Check your preference settings. Under the "Editing" tab, there is an option for "Enable section editing via [edit] links". Make sure this is checked; if not, this could be the cause of the problem. - Cavalier One(Wizarding Wireless Network) 13:55, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
If you ever have any questions, feel free to ask. I'll do my best to answer. :-) ★ Starstuff(Owl me!) 17:15, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Template:Welcome is added to a new user's page automatically when they make their first first edit. I believe it's automatically signed with the username of whichever admin is logged on at the time that edit is made. As to non-admins welcoming new editors, I don't see any problem with it, but you should probably make your messages custom, rather than use Template:Welcome, in order to avoid the possibility of the template being posted twice (once manually by you and once automatically). ★ Starstuff(Owl me!) 06:32, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
Hello! Just to let you know, we're starting a new round of the Harry Potter Wiki House Points Game on September 15th, and we need some new members! By helping to improve the Wiki, you can earn points toward winning the House Cup. Just add your name under your favorite House on this page to join. We hope to see you soon! - Nick O'Demus 10:05, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
He's just had a loss in his family, and he's going to be gone for the next few weeks. That's why we made the Condolences Card for when he gets back. - Nick O'Demus 19:54, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
Hey u know Jayden Matthews? I think u should say "r u okay?" and stuff if u haven't done it because he made the supports the Irish Qudditch team userbox for me that u have taken any way. u owe him a thank u (not trying to be mean though) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Gryffindor'sgiant (talk • contribs).
Hi, GrouchMan. It has been determined that you are a trusted member of this community and that we benefit from your contributions. Upon request or through my own discretion, I have granted you rollback privileges. This tool can be used to quickly revert vandalism and maintain the quality of this wiki. Please remember to use this tool with discretion and never in a content dispute. You should now see a "rollback" link when viewing a user's contributions. Thanks, and happy editing. John Reaves(talk) 21:00, September 2, 2009 (UTC)
No problem. It isn't necessarily an honor, just a tool. You can use to revert blatant vandalism with the click of a button should you come across it. John Reaves(talk) 20:10, September 3, 2009 (UTC)
You'll see a link that says "rollback" in page histories, user contributions pages, recent changes, etc. John Reaves(talk) 19:45, September 4, 2009 (UTC)
Why did you delete my user page? -- P.O.K.E.R. 07:44, September 12, 2009 (UTC)
OK, but I keep getting messages that GrouchMan has changed my user page, and whenever I go back on it it has been deleted. -- P.O.K.E.R. 11:49, September 12, 2009 (UTC)
I think I cannot help you with that... I'm not sure, but I think it wasn't only one... -- Seth Cooperowl post! 20:48, September 13, 2009 (UTC)
I only know that the PS1 version of CoS was developed by Argonaut Games. -- Seth Cooperowl post! 20:51, September 13, 2009 (UTC)
Most of the video games were developed by Electronic Arts or one of their subsidiaries, such as EA Games or EA Bright Light, although some were co-developed/produced with another company as well. I'm not sure of the details on who did what exactly in those cases. Some of the other companies I've seen listed on GameFAQS (see below) include: Argonaut Games, Griptonite Games, KnowWonder, Magic Pockets, Visual Impact, and Warthog. I've included these links for more details:
I noticed you just cleaned up the Trevor Birch article. You wouldn't happen to have actually played the DS version of HBP, would you? The reason I ask is that the guy who created that article created about 9 more, and as English doesn't seem to be their first language, they all need reworking. They're listed here on their contributuions page, everything created on Sep. 12th, from Scott Ancrum to Roland Abberley. - Nick O'Demus 20:35, September 14, 2009 (UTC)
What's gonna happen? Hopefully not much, as Seth Cooper blocked him again (twice, in fact) for persistently unhelpful edits. Or to be more accurate, Seth blocked the most recent of the around half-dozen I.P.s he's used. - Nick O'Demus 09:16, September 18, 2009 (UTC)
Haven't you noticed my notes on the beginning of my page? Bolded and Written in Red. --ÈnŔîčö DC(Send me an Owl!) 03:58, September 24, 2009 (UTC)
I know, it was not an attack and your intention is good, i also appreciate all your effort in fixing links, but Please follow the simple note that i wrote in my page. --ÈnŔîčö DC(Send me an Owl!) 01:43, September 25, 2009 (UTC)
You can see here some of the signature pages other users have made. Basically, you just create a new article for your signature and paste in the text for the signature you're currently using, and then follow the instructions on the Harry Potter Wiki:Signatures. - Nick O'Demus 12:43, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
Thank you. And thanks for the card as well. Jayden Matthews 12:19, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
Thanks that's very kind. I hadn't actually seen Corey for over a year before he died. I guess the hardest part is dealing with the fact that I'm never going to get another chance. Jayden Matthews 12:35, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
Do not edit my user page or any other editor's user page without their express permission, regardless of the edits you wish to perform. While your edits are harmless, and you wished to correct redirects, editing user pages without their permission can be considered as vandalism. Explain your reasons, request that they change it or gain permission to edit before changing anything. Please do not do it again. - Cavalier One(Wizarding Wireless Network) 13:41, October 15, 2009 (UTC)
Hey, GrouchMan. Thanks for fixing up my userpage! I have no problem at all with you editing it, but forgot to put up the permission(which is now on the userpage). I think you were the one who fixed my photo problem? (Photos would break the list of my favourite characters, leaving a large blank space between one persons name and another). Could you tell me how you did this? I have much difficulty in the photo area. Thanks :)--GryffMaster 00:43, October 16, 2009 (UTC)
I don't mind, and ty for fixing them things. Maybe you could help me with something. When I edit my page, i cant move or delete pictures, or even preview a page because when i do it freezes and says "this script is slowing your computer down". Is there a certain script on Harry Potter wiki? and is there a way to make it work properly? Thanks -- GryffMaster 22:49, October 16, 2009 (UTC)
I mean just leave them a message on their own talk pages, politely asking them to stop engaging in these trivial forums. If they fail to comply they may have to be banned. Jayden Matthews 16:28, October 24, 2009 (UTC)
I did thank you, it was very thoughtfull I really appreciated it. I'm not too bad all things considered. Not sleeping to well. I'm thinking of doing some charity work, helping teenagers like my brother who suffer from drug addiction. It seems like a good way of honoring Corey's life. Jayden Matthews 16:46, October 24, 2009 (UTC)
Thank you, I hope so. Jayden Matthews 17:00, October 24, 2009 (UTC)
I don't know. I guess I'm at that place where I feel I need to do something, but I don't want to do it for the wrong reasons, ie: just to make myself feel better. Do you know what I mean? Jayden Matthews 10:41, October 25, 2009 (UTC)
Hi T.J., how are you? What are you up to? Jayden Matthews 18:22, October 26, 2009 (UTC)
Cool. I'm about to start a major expansion of the Jamie Campbell Bower article. I'm just trying to find out if I can change the actor infobox to make it look like the individual one. Jayden Matthews 18:31, October 26, 2009 (UTC)
Yeah good thanks. He's a relatively new actor, so there's not much to say about him. It'll be a good article eventually though. Jayden Matthews 20:56, October 26, 2009 (UTC)
If Harry said Snape sent a fake letter and that he asked Hagrid how to get past Fluffy and it wasn't Snape then how do you know it was Quirrell when it never said in the book or in the movie -- User:JamesVIUser talk:JamesVI 3:36, 30 October 2009
Hi T.J. I noticed that you are the latest person to be harassed by JamesVI. The best thing to do is to ignore him. He clearly already knows the answears to the questions he's asking, and is just attempting to be a nuisance. If you let him know he's annoying you he won't stop. If he continues then you should ask an Admin to ban him for harassment. Also just to let you know I'm going on vacation next week, so I won't be around for a while. Speak to you soon:) Jayden Matthews 12:50, October 31, 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. California here we come. Jayden Matthews 12:58, October 31, 2009 (UTC)
Lol, thanks. There's going to be an open photo shoot in LA for the NO H8 campaign. I thought I might take part in that, seeing as how it's for a good cause. What do you think? Also, JamesVI is now bothering someone else with a question that has already been answeared for him by Seth Cooper. I think we should ask an administrator to ban him for a short while. Jayden Matthews 17:10, October 31, 2009 (UTC)
I'm off. Have a good week. Jayden Matthews 14:06, November 2, 2009 (UTC)
It's from the prisoner of Azkaban movie. Then there are Ron, Seamus ( in the Netherlands: Simon), Harry and Neville are playing, then you see the camera go to the dementors and it's going to the bird. And there are in the Devenation class. I think you know wich part I mean.--Station7 14:21, November 2, 2009 (UTC)

You did your job, maybe some other administrator know the name of the song?--Station7 15:17, November 3, 2009 (UTC)
I have found the video, but what is the name of that song, love it. Here is the link from 19 seconds:1.--Station7 21:09, November 3, 2009 (UTC)
He is already blocked. I blocked him on October 31st for constantly bothering users and erasing my talk/user pages. The block expires on October 31st 2010. -- Seth Cooperowl post! 01:02, November 5, 2009 (UTC)
I noticed what he was up to in the last few days while I was off. I've got a short list off Users I keep an eye on, and I've added him to it. I'm fairly certain Jeffrey1992 might be a sock puppet account, so I'm keeping an eye on that one too. - Nick O'Demus 04:12, November 6, 2009 (UTC)
Hey Seth, why don't make the blocking expires until October 31st 2012? :) (just kidding) :D --ÈnŔîčö DC(Send me an Owl!) 05:04, November 6, 2009 (UTC)
I don't understand... What do you mean by copies? -- Seth Cooperowl post! 20:49, November 7, 2009 (UTC)
Oh. We probably should just redirect them to the names seen on the "Quidditch World Cup" article, as that is their correct spelling according to HBP game for NDS. -- Seth Cooperowl post! 21:12, November 7, 2009 (UTC)
GrouchMan, please do not keep changing redirects in people's comments left on talk pages. Shortcuts such as HPW:BLOCK are specifically designed to allow quick access to the page without typing out the full page name. This is what they are for. Linking to redirects of this nature is not a problem; it is double redirects and broken redirects that are the issue. You should not be editing comments left by others in any case, as this can be seen as vandalism; I for one do not appreciate having my comments edited. In one of your recent edits, to X247's talk page, your edits now make you the "last change" edit on his talk page when it informs him he has a message, meaning that he could now miss the warning I left regarding his edit summary comment. Correcting redirects in articles (Harry to Harry Potter, for instance) is fine, but changing redirects such as HPW:BLOCK is not needed. Also, please keep in mind the comment about changing other's comments on talk pages. - Cavalier One(Wizarding Wireless Network) 15:03, November 8, 2009 (UTC)
Hey T.J. I'm not sure if you saw the post above yours on my talk page. I think our friend James is back. As for my awesome vacation! I was staying with my cousin in Los Angeles. Pretty much just seing the sites. It was kinda weird as I couldn't go to a bar and buy a drink (not being 21) whereas here I can. Jayden Matthews 22:43, November 8, 2009 (UTC)
Unfortunately I have a baby face:) Jayden Matthews 14:09, November 9, 2009 (UTC)
It means I look younger than I really am. Jayden Matthews 16:08, November 9, 2009 (UTC)
Yeah I'm 19. Corey was 21 when he died from a heroin overdose. Jayden Matthews 16:19, November 9, 2009 (UTC)
Yeah you're a month older than me. The saddest part is, the post mortem results said he didn't have any other drugs in his system. He just made one stupid mistake. That's all it takes. Jayden Matthews 16:39, November 9, 2009 (UTC)
Hi T.J. Can I ask a favour? I've just written a new intro for the Tom Riddle article. The thing is, my spelling and grammar are...poor. Would you mind reading it for me and letting me know what you think, as well as fixing the mistakes I will have made? Jayden Matthews 17:54, November 9, 2009 (UTC)
Thanks, I really appreciate this. Jayden Matthews 21:39, November 9, 2009 (UTC)
Thanks a million. I'm going to tinker with it a bit before proposing it on the talk page. Jayden Matthews 14:37, November 10, 2009 (UTC)
Thomas Marvolo Riddle, first known as Tom Riddle and dreaded as Lord Voldemort, was the most powerful Dark Wizard of all time. An exceedingly handsome, polite and popular orphan, Tom Riddle was once thought to be the most talented pupil to ever walk through the doors of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. To the school at large he presented the respectable face of a student like any other. In reality, however, Riddle was cruel, sadistic, manipulative and power hungry. Having achieved outstanding grades in every examination he took, Riddle left Hogwarts and went on to a brief employment at Borgin and Burkes, before disappearing from public view completely.
Having embraced the seductive Dark Arts he encountered in his travels, the former Tom Riddle, now known exclusively as Lord Voldemort, raised an enormous army comprised of followers he recruited both at school and afterward, as well as many dark creatures. This army, known as the Death Eaters began a campaign of terror and violence never before seen in Britain. After hearing half of a prophecy referring to a single being with the power to destroy him, Voldemort set off to kill Harry Potter, to whom he believed the prophecy referred. After murdering Harry's parents Voldemort turned his wand upon the boy. However his curse rebounded upon him and his body destroyed. Stripped of his power, Voldemort fled to a far flung forest in Albania, to await the day where a faithful servant would return him to his body. After thirteen years of waiting that day would finally arrive, and with the use of Potter’s own blood, Voldemort once again returned to power.
Although he initially lay low, Voldemort was soon forced into the open, and began his bloody conquest of the wizarding world anew. After two years of constant warfare, Voldemort finally gained control of the Ministry of Magic, and ruled relatively unopposed, save for a few pockets of resistance. Despite his hold over the country, Voldemort was still unsatisfied, as he had yet to remove the danger the prophecy presented to him. After learning of Potters location, Voldemort set out to destroy the boy once and for all launching his entire amassed force against Hogwarts. Upon arriving at the school, Voldemort was met by a full scale rebellion of Hogwarts staff and students, along with the members of the Order of the Phoenix and the residents of Hogsmede. As the battle progressed the Death Eaters were driven into the Great Hall, where Voldemort engaged Harry Potter in a duel, and was finally killed.
Fine, thanks. Been busy at work recently. Our computers were down for almost a full week a while ago, and we're still trying to get things straightened out (I don't know if you noticed there were a few days at a time when I wasn't here at all). My brother's in town for a little while, so I'll take him out for dinner onc or twice while he's here. - Nick O'Demus 13:26, November 11, 2009 (UTC)
Yes, of course. You deserve to earn points on that but i will give it later. Hope it is ok to you. --ÈnŔîčö DC(Send me an Owl!) 05:02, November 14, 2009 (UTC)
Make sure to include an external link for each of the bands. If they don't have a webpage, or at least a MySpace or Twitter page, they may just be fanon. - Nick O'Demus 13:29, November 14, 2009 (UTC)
I've found a few on Google, and I've added a few links to some Wrock genre websites on the article page. I'll help look for some of the websites and add the links. - Nick O'Demus 01:28, November 15, 2009 (UTC)
You might want to hold off on creating any more Wrock band articles for a little while. It turns out there are a LOT more of them than we realized. A similar discussion came up when I asked about creating articles for the unofficial Harry Potter guidebooks (like the ones listed on Amazon.com) and Seth Cooper and Cavalier One both said that only the "notable" ones should get their own articles. So just having a MySpace page may not be enough. We may need to set some guidelines. - Nick O'Demus 02:18, November 15, 2009 (UTC)
I agree with Nick O'Demus, Seth and Cavalier One. The only "notable" ones or popularly recognise should get their own articles like Harry and the Potters for example. --ÈnŔîčö DC(Send me an Owl!) 10:39, November 15, 2009 (UTC)
Okay, I did some looking online, and I found some events and the bands that were involved might be considered "notable". Take a look and let me know what you think. These are just my preliminary findings, so sorry if it's a bit disorganized. Seth Cooper also recommended that maybe we should open a forum discussion about this. - Nick O'Demus 11:43, November 15, 2009 (UTC)
I feared the same... I guess I'll warn him to stop bothering other users. Also, I liked your articles; give me a heads up when you're finished creating those so I can award you some points. -- Seth Cooperowl post! 19:24, November 14, 2009 (UTC)
I guess there's no other way than to warn & block him repeatedly, though... -- Seth Cooperowl post! 19:33, November 14, 2009 (UTC)

I've awarded you 59 points in the House Points Game for all your unrecognised article creations since the start of the second term of the HPG. -- Seth Cooperowl post! 18:07, November 15, 2009 (UTC)
GrouchMan, please stop editing the shortcut redirects in the welcome templates on user talk pages. These edits are not needed. Also, you are again editing comments made on talk pages by other users; eliminating spaces and changing spellings are considered to be changing the content. Please stop. Comments left by users should not be edited by other users. I've asked you to stop this before. I know this is all in good faith, but if I have to ask again, I will have no choice but to give you a cooldown block for ignoring the warning. Thank you. - Cavalier One(Wizarding Wireless Network) 14:47, November 16, 2009 (UTC)
A cooldown block is a minor ban lasting from around 1 to 3 days. Its basically used to get a user's attention and to let them know we're serious. As I said, I understand these are good faith edits, so I would hate to have to enforce it. - Cavalier One(Wizarding Wireless Network) 15:06, November 16, 2009 (UTC)
I asked this question to on this picturew discussion, but maybe you knew who we miss? I see Dumbledore, Hagrid, Lupin (thanks to Seth Cooper), Gideon and Fabian prewett (this did Seth Cooper know to), james and lily potter, Pettigrew, Alastor moody, Longbottoms parents. And Seth Cooper did know a few more, but maybe you know all the identities. --Station7 15:29, November 16, 2009 (UTC)
And do you know who the other people are in this picture?--Station7 19:41, November 16, 2009 (UTC)
Yes, I did see the articles on the Wizard Rock Bands. Nice work. Its something I know little about, so its nice to see someone expanding on that part of the Wiki. As a side note, the creation of Ministry of Magic (Wrock band) saw our article count go over 5,000, so congratulations! - Cavalier One(Wizarding Wireless Network) 16:19, November 16, 2009 (UTC)

Move your talk page from "User talk:GrouchMan" into "User talk:GrouchMan/Archive 1", without making a redirect. Then use "User talk:GrouchMan" as your current talk page. -- Seth Cooperowl post! 19:06, November 17, 2009 (UTC)
When redirecting, there is a small checkbox saying "Leave a redirect behind". Just uncheck it. -- Seth Cooperowl post! 19:11, November 17, 2009 (UTC)
You'll see it while you're moving the page. It's right under the place where you write the new title. -- Seth Cooperowl post! 19:16, November 17, 2009 (UTC)
Well, then just move it into "User talk:GrouchMan/Archive 1", and then manually erase the redirect on "User talk:GrouchMan". -- Seth Cooperowl post! 19:28, November 17, 2009 (UTC)
