[edit] RE:My talk page

You can now use this page as your current talk page. =) --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 19:33, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

If you want to, yes. You may also want to include a link to the archive on this page (again, like I have on my talk page). --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 19:36, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Help

Hello GrouchMan, could you help with that problem too? Only it's for another site. -- Station7 19:53, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

The problem that you had with the archive, that I did. But the datum etc, how do you make those letters so little? -- Station7 20:07, November 17, 2009 (UTC)
I mean from 5th November 2009 to 17th November 2009. -- Station7 20:09, November 17, 2009 (UTC)
So I doesn't it matter how big or little those words are? -- Station7 20:17, November 17, 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. -- Station7 20:24, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Fredwii

Not that I know of, no. By the way, do remember to vote for/against the proposed changes to the Canon Policy here. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 21:15, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

There's a huge discussion going on about changing the canon policy as to that only book-canon should be included in the wiki. To cease the discussion, we've started a formal vote. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 21:41, November 18, 2009 (UTC)
I meant the exact opposite thing. Some users want to label all film-canon as non-canonical. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 21:50, November 18, 2009 (UTC)
You can read the details here. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 21:52, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

Remember to vote here. Jayden Matthews 21:54, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Redirects on your own talk page

Fixing redirects our your own page will be fine, as long as you don't alter the actual message left by other users. I can understand you wanting to keep your own page tidy :) - Cavalier One(Wizarding Wireless Network) 12:23, November 19, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Re:JamesVI

Sorry for the late reply. I agree that we should be vigilant for any account that seems like it might be sockpuppet of JamesVI. Please notify me, Seth, or any admin if you see anything that raises suspicions. Thanks! Starstuff (Owl me!) 08:44, November 20, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Fredwii

what makes you think Fredwii is really JamesVI? -- User:Harryhe User talk:Harryhe 4:36, 20 November 2009 (UTC) (Owl me!)

[edit] RE:Hobday family

I'll award you 5 points right away! --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 01:22, November 21, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Hello fellow wizard

Hey GrouchMan, you seem like a very impressive Harry Potter wizard. Now what are you, Gryfindor or Slytherin? I am slytherin, because i enjoy Blaise Zabini and Draco Malfoy. -- Darkdove 8 01:02, November 25, 2009 (UTC)

very cool! Why do you like Gryffindor, is there a reason? (not trying to be mean) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Darkdove 8 (talkcontribs).

[edit] Where?

Where are you on Wookieepedia? I couldn't find you. I'm on other wikia's to, but not that one. I was just wondering where you were on that site? I hope that that's fine ;) -- Station7 14:17, November 25, 2009 (UTC)

Where can I find your user page on Wookieepedia? Please say it if you don't understand me, I will do my best. -- Station7 17:07, November 25, 2009 (UTC)
Because I saw on your user page that you're an editor on Wookieepedia. -- Station7 17:11, November 25, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] RE:Harryhe

I'm certain of it. For one thing - his signature is identical to JamesVI's and Fredwii's. But mainly my suspision comes from the fact that he asked you why you thought Fredwii and JamesVI were the same person. He's a new user. How would he even know about JamesVI. Jayden Matthews 20:17, November 25, 2009 (UTC)

That doesn't mean exactly nothing, if I could see my meaning. If I ask about another person, could it be that someone don't wanna have that second account deleted, because those vandalism people are smart. On the lostpedia site, they thought that I was using to 2 other users, because we react at around the same time. I was mostly deleted, but not because they checked it for nothing. With this I mean that you not have to trust everybody just because of that reaction. He could probaly defence himself, but at the other hand not. Think about this. -- Station7 20:47, November 25, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Re:10,000 Edits

[edit] RE:Categories

No, not at all. You've been very helpful. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 13:21, November 26, 2009 (UTC)

You're welcome. Happy Thanksgiving. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 21:34, November 26, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Hi

Hi T.J.. How ya doing? Jayden Matthews 19:13, November 26, 2009 (UTC)

Happy Thanksgiving to you too! I'm quite well, thanks. In fact, I've got something to share with you. These past few weeks I've been working a new skin for this site, which I'll propose to the community when it's completely finished. You can have a preview, if you'd like. Jayden Matthews 19:35, November 26, 2009 (UTC)
It's called a skin. Basically it's what determines the appearance of the Wiki itself. I don't dislike the current one. I just think it could be alot better. Anway, you can view my project here [1]. Let me know what you think. Jayden Matthews 20:33, November 26, 2009 (UTC)
So, what do you think of it? Jayden Matthews 20:51, November 26, 2009 (UTC)
Really? I'm so glad! It still needs alot of work though. Hopefully It'll be ready the propose in a few days. I'm not sure what the reaction from the community will be, though. Jayden Matthews 21:16, November 26, 2009 (UTC)
I hope so. I think the main reaction will be - "if it ain't broke don't fix it". I guess we will find out soon enough. Jayden Matthews 21:25, November 26, 2009 (UTC)
Hi T.J. How's it hanging? I've made a few changes to my project, if you'd care to take a look. Jayden Matthews 20:33, November 29, 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm good, thanks. Just so you know, I've opened a forum discussing my proposal, if you want to leave your comments. Jayden Matthews 12:38, November 30, 2009 (UTC)
Here's the place. Jayden Matthews 12:46, November 30, 2009 (UTC)
You're welcome. Jayden Matthews 17:48, November 30, 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. Jayden Matthews 18:55, December 1, 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the advice. I will archive it soon. Jayden Matthews 19:25, December 4, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Hey

Not too bad, all things considered. I had a pretty bad case of the flu early last week (regular, not swine). The first couple of days were the worst, but once I got past that, I was alright. Unfortunately, I had to skip Thanksgiving with my family, since my grandmother and my step-father's mother are both pretty frail, and I couldn't risk being around them while I was still contagious. We did a brunch earlier this week to make up for it, so I still got to spend some time with family, and they saved some turkey and stuff for me. My brother and my dad were also in town for their birthdays (Dec. 2nd, same day), so we went out for dinner last night, and I'm making plans to visit my grandparents for Christmas.

I've been working on trimming down the Wanted Pages list for the last few days, and I'm just about done. The list only updates once a day, around 07:00 (Wiki time), and once it does the next cache, it should be down to around 300. Since it was around 950 when I started, I'd say that's pretty good. Some of the remaining links are in some Users' talk pages and archives, so I'm going to be asking them for permission to go in and clean them up, which should knock out another 50 or so. The ones that are left are linked to templates, and I'm not going to mess with those, since too many things could go wrong from even slight changes that could negatively affect the Wiki.

Thanks for asking. - Nick O'Demus 16:49, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

About once every 2 or 3 months. - Nick O'Demus 17:03, December 3, 2009 (UTC)
Yup. It was 20 years ago, so don't worry, it's not exactly a touchy subject with me. - Nick O'Demus 17:11, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Harryhe/JamesVI

Hi there! We haven't talked for quite a while, now. As for the matter of Harryhe, I left an official warning on his talk page, saying that further disruption will result in a block. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 02:23, December 7, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Rolf Scamander

Ive been changing the family infoboxes of the scamander family since the policy says that only two generations may be put in the infobox, you have changed it back, why? --- Ratneer (Owl me) 22:36, December 7, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] RE:RE:Rolf Scamander

Thats O.K., I just wanted to make sure there wasnt another reason you kept her on there. -- Ratneer (Owl me) 22:49, December 7, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] RE:RE:RE:RE:Rolf Scamanader

Well, I would say just because even Luna is a sort of major character, her husbands great great grandmother would not be important enough to be an exception to the 2 generations rule. --- Ratneer (Owl me) 23:10, December 7, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Voting

Hi T.J.. Just to let you know, voting is now open on the skin issue. Jayden Matthews 13:34, December 10, 2009 (UTC)

Here. Also, when you vote, do you think you could also say whether or not your in favour of changing the logo. It'll save us having to vote again later. Jayden Matthews 13:47, December 10, 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for that. Someone came to the door, and I forgot what I was doing. Jayden Matthews 18:05, December 10, 2009 (UTC)
What I mean is - someone rung the doorbell of my house, I got up to answer it, and when I got back, I forgot what I had been doing. Jayden Matthews 18:15, December 10, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Hi

Hi Teej, how's things? Jayden Matthews 14:24, December 12, 2009 (UTC)

Two roles in the same show! Are you gonna use a time turner. Yeah I'm fine, just dyed my hair. Jayden Matthews 17:43, December 12, 2009 (UTC)
Well, good luck. Dare I say "break a leg". It's supposed to be dark brown, but it looks black. Jayden Matthews 17:53, December 12, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] RE:Hey

Sure! --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 17:56, December 13, 2009 (UTC)

That's terrific! What roles did you get? --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 18:03, December 13, 2009 (UTC)
As weird as it may seem, in Portugal we use to wish "muita m*rda" ("lots of sh*t") to actors before they go on-stage. I guess I wish you loads of... hem-hem. ;) --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 18:27, December 13, 2009 (UTC)
That's awesome! --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 23:44, December 13, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Hermes

Hermes appears in the first Harry Potter on Platform 9 3/4. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 98.223.64.216‎ (talkcontribs).

Yup, they're right, although he isn't named at the time.
"The speaker was a plump woman who was talking to four boys, all with flaming red hair. Each of them was pushing a trunk like Harry's in front of him - and they had an owl."
—PS, ch.6, p.92[src]
In Order of the Phoenix, Molly says that Percy's owl was his gift for becoming Prefect. - Nick O'Demus 21:47, December 14, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Did You Know...

...that Oscar the Grouch's fur is actually orange?

Also, here are some Muppet YouTube clips for you.

[edit] Relationship Categories

I noticed you've created a few "PERSON HERE's Relationships". Don't you think they are a bit... I don't know a word for it. There is only like 2 or 3 articles per category, is it really necessary? -- RatneerOwl Me! Contribs 21:41, December 14, 2009 (UTC)

I don't know, to me its seems like its just making categories to make categories. I mean, Its not like there are huge numbers in them, there like one or two. -- RatneerOwl Me! Contribs 22:02, December 14, 2009 (UTC)
I've seen no admins on since you created them. I guess I will start a discussion on the forum, see what everyone else thinks. -- RatneerOwl Me! Contribs 22:15, December 14, 2009 (UTC)
Huh? You created those category a short while ago, I'm saying I haven't seen any admins on since then. -- RatneerOwl Me! Contribs 22:25, December 14, 2009 (UTC)
I said that the categories you made were unnecessary, You said they were necessary, and you said that if the admins had a problem, then they would of said something. I said, that the admins haven't had a chance to see your new categories because none of them have been editing since you made the categories. BTW. I don't think it matters if the admins have seen them, its not like they are Supreme Ruler or anything lol. -- RatneerOwl Me! Contribs 22:31, December 14, 2009 (UTC)
Not really. The administrators are only there because they are trusted users who have special tools to deal with vandalism and other site related things. You, Me and the admins are all equal as editors, Arguments like "It is correct because an admin said so" doesn't work, because the admins have no actual authority over editors.
Administrators cant just block people willy nilly. If they do, they can be reported to central wikia. I am trying to find a article I saw once about admins. All editors are equal. That includes Admins.
I hope I don't come off as rude. By all means tell me if I am. BTW: If you wanted to check out the forum post for those categories you created and post your opinion, Its Here -- RatneerOwl Me! Contribs 22:53, December 14, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Sorry

I'm sorry, I feel like an Idiot now. I hadn't realize there had been categories from other romantic relationships. Totally my fault, I should've researched it. -- RatneerOwl Me! Contribs 22:59, December 14, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Userpage

What, you mean like a fanfic? It's a great idea. Have you already written one. Jayden Matthews 12:29, December 17, 2009 (UTC)

It certainly is. I'm guessing that was what you were going for. Jayden Matthews 12:38, December 17, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Re:The Fictional Me

It's funny. =) Thankfully that's not the real you... --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 21:52, December 17, 2009 (UTC)

Well, that's one thing we have in common! --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 00:41, December 18, 2009 (UTC)
I tend to be very grouchy when someone wakes me up. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 00:46, December 18, 2009 (UTC)
I would never imagine that. You do not seem to have a grouchy attitude at all (in the wiki, at least)! --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 00:54, December 18, 2009 (UTC)
Oh well. At least you don't live in a dust bin! --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 01:04, December 18, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Thanks alot. Jayden Matthews 17:55, December 18, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Weird

I just undid a vandalism edit over on the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry article, but for some reason the page's history shows my edit as being 4 hours ago, BEFORE the vandal, but if you look at the revisions, mine is still the most recent. What's going on? 70.249.158.37 21:24, December 18, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] RE:14000+ edits

Thank you! I didn't notice that they were that many already... --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 00:51, December 21, 2009 (UTC)

I did not... --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 01:02, December 21, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] What's new?

Hi T.J.. What's new? Jayden Matthews 19:05, December 21, 2009 (UTC)

Pretty much the same. I just got a new job, so I've got some cash coming in. My family's fine, thanks for asking. Everyone's moving on. Jayden Matthews 19:20, December 21, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] David Colbert‎‎

You might want to hold off on that. There was already a forum discussion on the subject of unofficial guidebooks, and several of the admins said not to do articles for each of them. However, as mentioned in the forum, I still think a single "List of Harry Potter unofficial guidebooks" article would be a good idea, I just hadn't gotten around to it. Want to help? - Nick O'Demus 13:45, December 22, 2009 (UTC)

Amazon.com is a good place to start. I'm thinking along the lines of the List of Harry Potter fan websites. It would list each book by title, with author and publisher names and weblinks if possible, and a short, one or two sentence description. - Nick O'Demus 13:52, December 22, 2009 (UTC)
I started the article. Right now I've just listed a couple of them and used the Amazon.com links. Links to the authors or publishers are preferable, and I'll try to find them and some more details about each book as I go along. This'll probably end up being a fairly big article eventually. I don't think it'll be necessary to list them on the list of fan websites article too, it'd just be kind of redundant. - Nick O'Demus 14:09, December 22, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Ernie Macmillan

I saw on Seth Cooper's talk page that you noticed that too. It's this guy again. As soon as they get done with the Ernie Macmillan page, they'll just move on to another, so keep an eye out for IP's starting with 142.68. - Nick O'Demus 14:50, December 22, 2009 (UTC)
