There's generally a guide for using each infobox on its template page. For example, if an infobox is called {{Potion infobox}}, then you'd look at Template:Potion infobox. As for the "hide" tags, on character infoboxes, these allow the section headings to be hidden if all fields in the section are empty:
- hideb - hides "Biographical information"
- hidep - hides "Physical description"
- hidef - hides "Family information"
- hidem - hides "Magical characteristics"
- hidea - hides "Affiliation"
Hiding section headings in empty sections helps make the infobox look tidy. To hide a section heading, type "y" (for example, "hideb=y"). I hope this helps. ★ Starstuff (Owl me!) 12:39, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

Looks like Seth Cooper got to the "Sacharis Tugwood" article before I did. In the future, if you see an article that isn't needed, add the {{delete}} tag to the top of it. Spoiler tags Edit
Don't worry about it. We have the site-wide notice that serves us just fine. We reasonably assume that, since the book series ended two years ago, most visitors to the site will not need to be warned about spoilers. The other thing is that, if we were to implement spoiler tags, they would probably need to be applied to most articles anyway so the site notice serves us better and saves time. - Cavalier One
