I noticed it was fixed as soon as I left the message and thought that I must have imagined it.--Matoro183 (Talk) 15:27, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
I'm getting kinda creeped out, the only users not blocked are the ones with admin rights--Matoro183 (Talk) 15:39, 16 July 2008 (UTC)!

Signature

Hey, I noticed that your signature is pretty complicated, so I made Template:Freakatonesig for you. If you want, you can put {{Freakatonesig}} in the Signature box in your preferences. Then you won't have all the code sitting there in the edit window, which would make it a little easier for people to scan through when they're writing a response. What do you think? -- Danny@Wikia (talk) 17:36, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Test

Just seein if this works... freakatonesig 18:18, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Re: IRC

Not a big deal. I'm leaving soon anyway. But yeah...as I said...its overall OK with me. I just don't want to see a huge influx and such, ya know? -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 20:54, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Just wanted to thank you for the Order of Merlin. :) Oread 02:14, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, thanks. And...thanks for my bot I guess? He's not a real user though! Technically his edits should be added to mine... -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 04:07, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
I am so deeply honoured!!! Mafalda Hopkirk 15:15, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
Hey, no problem, guys! You all deserve it! -- Freakatone Talk 15:16, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Re:

Actually, it is rude and unappreciative when someone degrades another's efforts, and forgive me but not every image on here is "official" either. If people want it gone, go ahead. I'm only trying to help the wiki, but if you guys just can't stand the thought that I don't have the time to go hunting again right now for the image's magazine source, then all I can say is that it's the wiki's loss. And I am not inclined to spend anymore good time trying to improve the wiki if my efforts are just going to be counterbalanced by a policy that not everyone here is always following. Hero of Time 87 13:23, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

You call the drawing of the ring an official Warner Bros. picture? You call the picture from the cover of Deathly Hallows an actual Warner Bros. picture of the locket? No, none of those were actual real-life pictures. And yes, forgive me but it is rude when your efforts are disregarded over something that is really not a very big issue. Hero of Time 87 13:31, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

I've kinda been following this conversation, and Hero does have a point that none of those pictures of the Horcruxes are really what one would consider "offical" pictures from the studio of Warner Bros., despite being from the author. I see nothing wrong with the image, and if nothing else, it adds an eye-catcher to the article, like I told MPF. TomMarvoloRiddle1926 13:34, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

If J.K. Rowling drew or endorses the picture (she endorses the movies), then it is considered official. And yes, it does add an eye-catcher, but if it's not an official picture, the cup in the movie could turn out to look totally different, and we don't want to confuse readers. -- Freakatone Talk 13:36, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
It's not an official "movie" picture though Freakatone, that's what I'm saying. Like Hero said, I think you're overreacting a little to it, because at the time we have nothing else for the article beyond the text. And this picture does indeed match Rowling's description in almost every way. I think we ought to just drop it and let the picture remain. I don't see it hurting anything. TomMarvoloRiddle1926 13:39, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
I realize that it's not hurting anyone, but I am an admin, and I'm just trying to follow the policies we've set in place. I'll talk to the other admins on IRC later today about it. (And by the way, images from the covers of books are official images -- Freakatone Talk 13:41, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
And being an admin does not mean you have the authority to do just whatever you want though. You should take into account what other users think as well, that's just being fair. If you don't negotiate a little bit as far as what the users would like to see, they aren't going to come back. And no, book pictures are not "film" pictures. They are official, yes, but not in the film industry. We've been using images from the films and the books both for the Horcruxes, so I see no reason for this image to be removed either. TomMarvoloRiddle1926 13:44, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
I'm not saying I can do whatever I want. I'm just trying to folow the policies that my fellow admins have put into place. And the whole point is, this image is not from a film. I've already said I'm going to talk to my fellow admins about it later today. -- Freakatone Talk 13:48, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

Just like Xenophilious Lovegood said, "Prove that it is not." You can no more prove this isn't from the film than you can disprove it. Talk about it all you guys want, but I think you are majorly overreacting to this, considering the other thigns going on on the wiki. And the way you guys have been acting on this has the potential to drive people away from the wiki. TomMarvoloRiddle1926 13:50, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

Please, drop the issue. If you have a problem with our policy, please discuss it on its talk page. Thanks. -- Freakatone Talk 13:53, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
I don't see an issue beyond what Hero calls a "pet peeve." I have no problem whatsoever, it's fully between him and you guys, but I can see some points in his argument as well. You guys can no more prove that this picture is "not" from the film than anyone else. I think it's a good image personally and see nothing wrong with it being there for the time being since we don't have an image for it otherwise. And I think there are instances where we should be a bit more flexible as far as attracting members to come back to the wiki or bring in new ones. This kind of behavior can turn people off.
