I've reformatted the election to be easier to keep track of. I didn't readd your vote because I didn't want to forge your signature. John Reaves (talk) 00:55, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

I've noticed that when you add your sig, all you do is type {{User:Freakatone/sig}}. This method doesn't display the date and time. To remedy this, go to your preferences, and scroll down until you see the signature inputbox. Type {{User:Freakatone/sig}} in the box, and click the checkbox below it. Now all you have to do is add ~~~~ to a talk page to add your sig, and the date.-Matoro183 (Talk) 21:56, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

oops, I mean {{subst:User:Freakatone/sig}}-Matoro183 (Talk) 22:11, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
You have to click the check box directly beneath the text box which has the following text beside it:

Raw signature (If unchecked, the contents of the box above will be treated as your nickname and link automatically to your user page. If checked, the contents should be formatted with Wiki markup, including all links.)-Matoro183 (Talk) 00:33, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

How do you know when a new user has arrived so you can give him/her that meessage everyone gets? My birthday is June 6! Sorry. I'm excited. --{{substUser:Ginny22/sig}} 00:46, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Took care of that item you asked about on IRC. Thanks for the heads up. -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 03:19, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Okay, I voted, but can I run for it or no? --{{substa:User:Ginny22/sig}} 20:28, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Is this voting for more admins, because I want to vote but don't know the URL. Aguabottle 20:39, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

I still don't know who to vote for next! --Ginny22 20:48, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Project Scarhead

If they can do it, why not us?

An owl from Cavalier One
The latest on Project Scarhead!
Welcome to Project Scarhead! Okay, firstly, thank you for signing up. We have a big job to do, but hopefully, with so many hands we can get the job done. Basically put, the Harry Potter article is our main article - he's the series lead and the main focus of the books. As such, he should also be our biggest and best article, the kind of article we're proud to show off on the main page and tell people we did it. We will be working on a subpage, located here: User:Cavalier One/Project Scarhead. This will serve as our workplace, and all members of Project Scarhead are authorised to edit it, and I urge you all to put it on your watchlist so you can track usage. I have already rearranged the article to conform with our standard layout guide. I am suggesting tackling the article in chronological order, working through each of the seven books in turn, stopping after each book is done and reviewing the work to date. However, let me know if you wish to work on a particular sections or book and you will be accomodated. Again, welcome to Project Scarhead! Project Greasy Git

From the quill of Starstuff
to all participants of Project Greasy Git

Thank you for joining Project Greasy Git! I'm glad to welcome everyone onboard and look forward to collaborating with you all. Our project has already built momentum despite being only two days old. We've succeeded in creating a new "Relationships" section. However, I'm asking that we slow down a bit, so that can better coordinate our work. As project leader, I want to ensure that all members have a chance to weigh in on major editorial decisions, and that no one is left out of the loop. I think it would be ideal for us to centralize discussion at a single location, so I'm asking everyone to Apparate to the project talk page, where we can all share our ideas. I suggest that we work section by section, beginning with smaller sections like "Personality and traits" first, and tackling the large "Biography" section last. However, if there is any special area which you would like to make your personal focus now, let me know. I have created a draft copy of the article which everyone is free to edit. Please consider adding both the working draft and the project talk page to your watchlist. This will make it easier for you to keep track of developments in the project.
P.S. I hope you enjoy our light-hearted project name. It's earned me an exciting weekend of gutting flobberworms in the Potions lab. ;)

Re: IRC message

I got your IRC message. Yes, I do think they should be blocked after they have been sufficiently warned. John Reaves (talk)

Thanks for the help. I'll remember that. Cheers. Palmala 20:59

Well done, on becoming an admin. You'll do well. Palmala 9 June 18:48

Just a couple of questions about the wiki policies. There are limits on how much you edit forums and user pages and if you overexceed you can get blocked? So you can't contribute many stuff into the leaky cauldron? I never knew that! I'll make sure i won't do so in the future. So how much can you contribute to the forums and userpages? If you'll let me know, that'll be much appreciated. Thanks. And congrats on becoming an administrator!Skrox29 23:20, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the info, i'll keep that in mind!Skrox29 23:42, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

I'm confused

What does that stuff mean? I don't understand anything you just said. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but I am so confused! Would you mind explaining that again? Harrypotterfreak 23:40, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Alright. How did you find that percentage?Harrypotterfreak 23:40, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

No problem at all. I'm glad you told me. Otherwise I would never have known. You're awsome! Lol! Harrypotterfreak 23:54, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Your welcome! So I just have to make edits to other pages now? Harrypotterfreak 00:05, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Article pages are just like the characters and stuff right?Harrypotterfreak 00:19, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Alrighty then! I'll go make some edits right now! Thanks again! Harrypotterfreak 00:27, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Congratulations on becoming an admin! I wanted to avoid cluttering your page with a duplicate section, but Palmala's "Congrats" message is three sections up, and I figured you might miss a new message if I left it there. Cheers! :) -Starstuff 12:27, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Promoting Featured Articles

Remember an article needs to be at +3 votes for 7 consecutive days before it can be promoted to a featured article. -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 01:32, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Excuse, I was wrong. Its after seven days either way. Sorry about that. -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 01:48, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

I was thinking of requesting for rollback priviliges, do you think I should do that? Also, where on the requests for permission do I ask? Cheers. Palmala 12 June 19:16

Scar head

Hello, I was thinking of signing up for project scarhead, and I would love to help. But I don't really understand, do we just edit the Harry Potter article or do we write up drafts for it and stuff like that? Cheers Palmala 13 June 21:18

Looks fine to me. I'm making a template right now. Might not finish till later. Might want to leave her a message on her talk page. -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 20:22, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

See {{Locked userpage template}} kinda sketchy right now, but can you fix it up and do it? I need to sign off. Thanks. -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 20:24, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
P.S. It should link to HPW:EP. -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 20:25, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Now What?

How long do I have until my page freezes or whatever you said will happen. I have created some more pages. Will it still be locked?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Harrypotterfreak (talkcontribs).

Sorry to bother you with this silly qiestion but I just have to ask this. I seen many user pages with the userbox saying that they're a recent changes patroller (i think that's what it's called). What is that? And how do you become one? Skrox29 00:02, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

I'm not sure why that infobox was created. I don't think we have recent changes patrolling enabled.-Matoro183 (Talk) 00:06, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
Alright, I checked, it is not enabled, so no one is a recent chnages patroller.-Matoro183 (Talk) 00:10, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
I'd be curious to know who has "recent changes patroller" on their user page? Not to take action against, just to inform them that we don't have it. Perhaps they're getting it confused with rollback. -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 04:52, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

umm...well I saw several people with it. I don't know exactly who but if I come by a user with that userbox, I'll tell you.Skrox29 23:20, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

Alright. Yeah we just checked -- we don't have recent changes enabled. -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 23:29, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

What do you mean my lack of improvement? Last week my percentage on articles was 19.25%. This week it's 35%. Should I just stop contributing and be like Starstuff? Probably so. --Ginny22 18:44, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

I'm Really Sorry About All This

I'm really sorry I make this so difficult. So as long as I am editing pages everyday, I'm fine and my page won't lock? Harrypotterfreak 21:30, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi, sorry I'm very new to this website, and don't know how to use it. I think there is a mistake I made, and have probably ruined a page. I recently edited the page Devil's Snare, and after editing, I've not been able to access the page. Everytime I click on its link or search it, my internet always closes. I'm not sure if this only happens to my computer, or the page is affected because of something I edited. I merely added a Quote to the page. Could this error to access the page be caused by me? Could you help me check it out or fix it? Because I can't edit it since I can't access the page. Thanks. Slytherin7thyear User talk:Slytherin7thyear 00:09, 16 June (UTC)
