Please familiarize yourself with the Wiki's Canon policy before making further edits. As Leanne's house and year are not actually established in the novel, there is no direct contradiction with the film canon. - Nick O'Demus 13:16, August 26, 2011 (UTC)

"Harry... (entering Gryffindor Common Room)... only vaguely registered the small group of seventh years clustered together there, until Hermione cried, 'Katie! You're back! Are you okay?'... Harry stared: it was indeed Katie Bell, looking completely healthy and surrounded by her jubilant friends... I'm really well!' she said happily.... Leanne was just telling me about McLaggen and the last match, Harry...'"

Image uploads

Thank you for contributing image uploads to the Harry Potter Wiki. However, your recent upload [[File:Capture.jpg]] is in breach of our image policy, and needs to be corrected by applying the {{information}} template to the file and supplying a source for the image. In future, please be sure to fill out the information template that is provided on the upload page, in particular citing the source from which the image comes from, and adding categories. This is to help keep images organised and catalogued, and to provide clear sourcing for all uploads. Please be aware that images missing this information may be subject to deletion, and, in certain cases, uploading images after being asked to provide the correct information may lead to a block for the uploader. If you have any doubts or questions regarding this, please contact one of the administrators. Thank you for your cooperation.--Cavalier OneGryffindorcrest(Wizarding Wireless Network) 07:48, September 2, 2011 (UTC)

Neville Longbottom

Why do you keep removing that content from Neville's article? It is appears to be valid content and you can't just remove it without a good reason why, especially after it has been restored by someone else. Like I've said in the summaries of my edits restoring the info you need to give a reason. -Shorty1982 20:50, September 16, 2011 (UTC)

Because JK has said that they never had romantic resons for eachother Adiposefriend 08:48, September 17, 2011 (UTC)

Then you need to cite that reason in the summary box. Otherwise it just appears to be a random removal of content. And in this case it wouldn't be a bad idea to mention why on the article's talk page and provide a link to where she said that. -Shorty1982 10:15, September 17, 2011 (UTC)
I've said it before and I'll say it again. You need to give a valid reason for removing that content. Just saying Rowling said so isn't valid, you have to provide a verifiable source. -Shorty1982 19:14, September 21, 2011 (UTC)

Lavender Brown

Hi there! Lavender Brown's death has actually been confirmed by Harry Potter Page to Screen: The Complete Filmmaking Journey, so it's been deemed canonical. Just wanted to let you know that I'm reverting your edits on Lavender's page. LuciusMalfoy777Ministry Notifications 21:23, October 27, 2011 (UTC)

Unexplained removal of content

Why have you removed that piece of content from the Raid on the Hogwarts Express article? It appears to be valid content and you must state your reasons why you have done so in the edit summary, or discuss it before on the article's talk page next time. Thanks. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 13:36, November 5, 2011 (UTC)

Friendly reminder

I see you've been warned about this several times in the past, so I will make this very clear for you. Per our canon policy, information from the films, video games, and other non-JKR sources are considered canon as long as a JKR source does not contradict it or the rules of her world set up by JKR make it unlikely. And, no, merely not mentioning something's existence or happenstance does not mean JKR has contradicted it. To give examples from some of your more recent edits:

  • Bellatrix Lestrange is considered by this wiki to have been at the Battle of the Astronomy Tower as shown in the film, as the book does not deny she might have been there, and there are several unnamed Death Eaters in the book fighting away from where Harry is, one of whom may have been her.
  • It has been stated by several people involved with the film that it was the intention for Lavender Brown to die. As her fate is not mentioned in the book, and JKR has never mentioned anything about her later life, this wiki accepts that she is dead.

I hope this makes things a bit more clear for you. -- 1337star (talk) 21:16, November 14, 2011 (UTC)
