Thanks for making the edit. I am far from offended. We're all trying to make the site as true as possible, Thanks for making the change. (: —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Amphareece (talkcontribs).

HEY!!!

I edited a page (Hand Creator Spell) with possible information about subject and you take that out saying "Baseless speculation is not allowed", so, is you can't see, it was not baseless, was just logic. so, if you want waste your time answering me, answer on User:Dobby4ever and I'd like to read what you have to write to me. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 201.82.179.166 (talkcontribs).

Re: Yeah, I agree (so so) But it could be put on the talk page, just for the others thinks about. Nevertheless, by the fact this spell apeared just one time on all series, it's difficult to put many thangs about. Dobby4ever 01:32, October 27, 2011 (UTC)

Lavender Brown Death Edits

I added a wiki comment to the article referring to her death and canon policy and advising people to refer to the talk page. Hopefully this will at least cut down on people trying to remove that information, if not eliminate it. ProfessorTofty 01:55, October 29, 2011 (UTC)

Hello! About the Tom Marvolo Riddle page, I saw you added a bunch of categories. When you wrote what in the world did you do?. Thats hilarious, Voldemort wants to be popular in a lot of categories. x)  Speedysnitch   Talk  02:18, October 30, 2011 (UTC)

Site: Penelope Clearwater

Hi, 1337star! I read your comment in the summary: "Removing this. Why would Hermione list her status as Muggle-born when the point was to avoid being captured by Snatchers? Penelope is Muggle-born per CoS."
I never read that Jo said she would be a Muggle-born. O. k., she was petrified from the basilisk, but she was with Hermione Granger at that time and Hermione is a Muggle-born witch, so it could have been an accident. I don't think that this is a prove that Penelope is a Muggle-born, too.
But perhaps you have another reason? It would interest me.  Harry granger   Talk   contribs 20:21, December 13, 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, did not want to post twice.  Harry granger   Talk   contribs 20:31, December 13, 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for the information. That I forgot. But did Tom Riddle really know or did he only expect the four pupils are "Mudbloods"? I mean, he could not know them. The real Tom Riddle / Voldemort did not know them and the horcrux also could not know them, so it could be he expected it only and Penelope was nonetheless an accident because she was together with Hermione. What do you think? - Sorry for posting and deleting, I make mistakes today. I don't know what's wrong today.  Harry granger   Talk   contribs 21:30, December 13, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for dealing with TomHanks9's bad edits. If you see any administrators around let them know about this user since all this users' edits are in fact bad edits and a edit block would be a good way to deal with it. JUST WHY?

Hello! I just don't understand one thing. Why can't I write that James Sirius Potter was probably placed in Gryffindor because of his parents and grandparents (they were all in Gryffindor), when on Rose's (Weasley) page written that she might be sorted in Gryffindor, because she is a Weasley?????

The Point of Vandalism?

Say, I saw your edit comment, and I was wondering - just what point exactly were you trying to make by keeping it vandalised? If you don't want to say, that's okay, but I can't help but wonder why one would purposely keep their page vandalised... ProfessorTofty 21:34, February 25, 2012 (UTC)

Ah, I get it. Not letting the vandal win by showing them that you're not going to be bothered by them trying to mess with your userpage. Good strategy. ProfessorTofty 00:59, February 26, 2012 (UTC)

Sorry. When I supposedly delete the name field on infoboxes, it is entirely by accident. I don't realize when I'm doing it because I don't really know where the namefield is. I've been trying to change it back but I just am not really sure how.

Icarlyftw

Thanks!

Thanks, I'll remember the italisized issue. The other two were copy/paste fails. I'll be sure to stay away from them in the future.

RE:RE: Edit Revoked

I understand that multiple linkage is not allowed, but I did not see bolding headings, or speculations anywhere in this wiki's policies. From reading many of the pages, I saw many speculations, this combined with it not being in the policies is why I did such.

Dracorex Hogwartsia

Why do you keep trying to delete it? This is an interesting part of the Harry Potter fandom, with JKR being honored and having talked about it. No other book or fandom has a dinosaur named after it. Just because it is not part of the books does not mean it has nothing to do with Harry Potter. It is a honor to her and to us. There is no valid reason to delete it. Also, I left most of this message on the talk page for deletions.

Blue Racer

You can't delete the Blue Racer as it is actual information. --Danniesen 07:54, March 27, 2012 (Denmark)

Based on what you wrote, it should also be deleted from Wikipedia. I don't think it looks like a Blue Racer. It is a blue racer. Likewise it is said nowhere in the film that it is a cobra. --Danniesen 08:12, March 27, 2012 (Denmark)

RE:Naming

I don't think you understand it. No matter how unsuitable you think the names are, they have to be known by the first given names, in this case "A Giant Problem" and "Fiendfyre Frenzy". By your logic we should also rename Viaduct Entrance as the Viaduct no longer connects to it. --Danniesen 07:57, April 11, 2012 (Denmark)

Notability Policy Vote

As someone who has expressed a great interest in the topic in the past, I thought you might like to know that I have called for a [[vote to pass the proposed Notability Policy. I would ask that if you think we're ready to go ahead with it, you vote to pass it, and then hopefully we can finally get on the road with taking care of some of these umpteen articles floating around that aren't really notable. Ah, okay, thank you. Re: Pottermore texts

sorry for that, as you may have noticed I'm just new to the editing thingy, and I didn't know that

I just thought it would be a good idea, since I spend a long time finding all of the introduction letters so I could read them all, and this way, they could be found more easily, especially since you'd normally only be able to read the introduction letter of your own house

thanks for infroming me

Re: Your edits

Ah, sorry about that. It's that I'm mainly FFWiki editor and I tend to carry the "layout" from there, but I'll try to adjust to this Wiki's "layout" the best I can. Blood Purity

You make an interesting argument, but by the standard you give, a wizard with two Muggle-Born parents would be a Pure-blood. That just can't be. Harry would be a Pure-blood as his dad was a Pure-blood and his mom was Muggle-born. But he is classified as a Half-blood. Simongr81 (talk) 21:40, June 28, 2012 (UTC)

Hey I have a question so would you consider this fanart,[[1]]

Alea icata est

Hi, there! Regarding your recent addition to the Password article, are you quite certain it is spelt "icata" in the game? Because the verb form in latin which corresponds to "having been thrown" (at least according to Wiktionary) is "iacta", a form of the verb "iactus". --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 02:03, July 28, 2012 (UTC)

Latin

I'm sorry to butt in on what may be intended as private, but I saw your "alea iacta est" discussion, and wanted to contribute. Alea is dice (or the lot of life/destiny), and iaceo means "I throw/cast" and so here is used in a passive manner -"is thrown" (iactus est - modified to agree with the feminine (alea) subjuct, thus iacta est) - giving a translation of "the dice is cast" or, more liberally, "My fate is sealed".

The English trajectory, for example, comes from this same root (iactum) and trans-, meaning "through/across", the whole being "thrown through (this arc)". {{SUBST:User:Jiskran/Signature}} 05:39, July 28, 2012 (UTC)

RE: Hover Charm

Hi there :). Hopefully you don`t mind my edit to the Hover Charm page - I tried to make a page called Levitation Charm, but couldn`t because that was being used as a redirect for the Hover Charm. The same thing happened for Wingardium Leviosa. Then I made a page called Wingardium Leviosa Charm and moved the information accordingly, but now I can`t find it. I was hoping somebody would be able to help (I wouldn`t be so impertinent as to pretend I expected you to be the one to show up, even if I`m glad it was). By the way, while we're on the topic, I want a second opinion: that inauspicious wizard that "plummeted to earth completely naked" after removing his underpants seems to be Jarleth Hobart (the circumstance fits, and those are definitely his breeches, ruff and aviator helmet floating alongside him). This mishap is valid canon data, however, as we were shown just a segment, I am not certain how to explain it and introduce it into his article. Suggestions? Should we incorporate it into the "Biography" section or, for the time being, just "Behind the scenes"? --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 00:36, September 7, 2012 (UTC)

Hi, 1337star. Thanks :) Hunnie Bunn (talk) 21:22, September 8, 2012 (UTC)

Template Things

Hello, and thanks for adding the images for the Hover Charm, Killing Curse, and Switching Spell. However, I was wondering whether you could please teach me how to change the charms template thing

Charms (class)
Wingardium leviosa
Professors: Filius Flitwick
Textbooks: The Standard Book of Spells · Achievements in Charming · Quintessence: A Quest
Charmbook writers and charm developers: Miranda Goshawk · Scarpin · Felix Summerbee · Randolph Keitch · Basil Horton · Mnemone Radford · Elliot Smethwyck · Jarleth Hobart · Delfina Crimp · Orabella Nuttley · Levina Monkstanley · Fred Weasley · George Weasley
Charms studied at Hogwarts: Levitation Charm · Fire-Making Charm · Softening Charm · Skurge · Aresto Momentum · Cheering Charm · Freezing Spell · Seize and Pull Charm · Summoning Charm · Banishing Charm · Silencing Charm · Mending Charm · Reductor Curse · Colour Change Charm · Growth Charm · Water-Making Spell · Locomotion Charm · Vinegar into Wine · Bird-Conjuring Charm

I noticed that the template still linked to the Hover Charm whereas it ought to have been to the Levitation Charm, and wanted to make sure that, should something of that nature occur in the future, I wouldn't have to pester you about it.

By the way, in case you hadn't seen my message on here, I wondered if you could please tell me where I could find the aforementioned artifact and the Cauldron Cake, as well as Droobles Best Blowing Gum, on Pottermore, as I have been through it and was unable to find it. Hi.

I'm really sorry. I just wanted to create the page because, you known how you can click on find a random page, well it brought me to the page, it didntt say it had been marked for the not noteable standards or deletion or anything along those line, ithought that the content was just deleted. i put some stuff on the page, got an image of the wand etc. I'm sorry but I have no idea where i got the image from. i have random images from harry potter on my laptop; from draco's apple to fluffy. i just found it and put it up. its probably easy enough to find again online if you look hard enough and im sorry i cant be of more help. im trying to find the notablity standards page but i cant and its really annoying me because i have no idea what the standards are, the general principle. i also wrote that it looked like it was made out of purpleheart and provided a link and image because in all fairness, it does look like it may be. i completely understadn why proff, verification and things are needed and why it has been put up for questioning, i would, however, like to find out if there is a page with the standards on, for future reference. sorry once more for being an inconvenice. I saw that the picture was added in the France and Paris articles, after I saved my edit. To see if information is located elsewhere before I edit is one of the things I have to work on. Potterpedia

Hello. I hate to be bothersome, but would you mind please checking out Potterpedia, a rather new wiki which is closely related to this one, but which is still in the process of being created and has a total of three editors? I wouldn't ask otherwise, but we wanted to get a few others to check it out, and see whether they're interested (I don't blame you if you're not, but it couldn't hurt, could it?) Thanks very much. --Hunniebunn (talk) 23:16, October 17, 2012 (UTC)

You may already know this, but Potterpedia is a wiki about covering material only from the Harry Potter books. It was started a while back when someone had that idea, but is only just now really taking off. I think there's definitely a niche for the idea, as there are those who prefer not to see anything about the films or games. ProfessorTofty (talk) 02:25, October 18, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for correcting my big mistake. I had gone through the archives to see if the topic had already beendisscused and when I had clicked to go back to the current Talk Page the page didn't load. The page kept saying Unable to Connect and I had to refresh the page several times before it finally came back up. I didn't even notice it was still on the 2nd page of the Archives when I clicked the Add New Topic tab. Still can't belive I did that. Luckly there's far more observant users then me watching for such things. Tell me, have you ever had such trouble with pages not loading and being told the connection did not go through?

Anyway, thanks again and I hope you leave your opinion about the topic of Voldemort Footwear: Yeah or Nay. That was my original titile for the topic.

Thanks and warm reguards, Professor Ambrius (talk) 05:39, October 19, 2012 (UTC)

Wikia features

Say, 1337star, if you have a moment, could you take a look at this here? I've started a thread regarding the idea of enabling additional features here, and I'd like to get opinions. ProfessorTofty (talk) 15:36, October 20, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for weighing in. And I know what you mean about monitor problems - I've been having a similar issue myself lately (though not quite as crippling as yours), but it's fixed now. ProfessorTofty (talk) 17:50, October 24, 2012 (UTC)

Leaky Cauldron Soups

Hello 1337star. A user brought to my attention today the absurd number of articles on the various soups served at the Leaky Cauldron, and wanted to know whether we could make a hub article for them all. Would that be a good idea, or no? --Hunniebunn 00:02, October 27, 2012 (UTC)

Scarpin's Revelaspell

If you have a moment, could you take a look at the Talk:Scarpin's Revelaspell - the most recent section that I started? I'd like to get some other opinions about this. ProfessorTofty (talk) 23:45, October 27, 2012 (UTC)

Talk Merge

Hello. I figured I would ask (seeing how this is the second day of waiting) whether you had an opinion on this topic, regarding the merging of Finite Incantatem and the General Counter-Spell; if nobody is opposed by five this evening I'll merge them, as I have twice before. Thank you for taking the time to read this message. --Hunniebunn (Talk) 20:42, November 2, 2012 (UTC)

Remembrance Day

I'm unsure if you hold with Remembrance Day or not, but all the same I figured I'd share this video with you - not only is it wonderfully sung, but it's quite inspirational. Thanks. --Remember (Least We Forget) 22:25, November 9, 2012 (UTC)

Wonderbook

Hello 1337star. Sorry to keep on bothering you, but I wondered whether you would like to add your opinion to this page - on the merge, on the rules regarding speculation, or on anything else you feel could be discussed. Thank you. --Hunniebunn (talk) 20:45, November 16, 2012 (UTC)

I understand, and little though I want to pressure you, according to Starstuff, who has the book and who made the according changes, the book only ever mentions the Gemino Curse. The topic isn't so much on what Wonderbook says as to the similarities between Gemino and Geminio. All the same, I understand that you want to refrain from giving definitive answers until further information is provided. Thank you for responding so quickly. --Hunniebunn (talk) 21:14, November 16, 2012 (UTC)
I would agree with you, but according to Starstuff the game clearly called it the Gemino Curse but made no reference toward Geminio at all - that was my own doing, because of the "Charm" in Duplication Charm as well as the similarities between the effects and names of Gemino and Geminio. --Hunniebunn (talk) 21:53, November 16, 2012 (UTC)
