Sourcing

Do you have a source for the box office performance? If so you could add it like this
<ref>Source URL, name, etc.</ref>
. Then where you want to put the references section put
==References==
<small><references/></small>
. Thanks! -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 22:32, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
I usually visit boxofficemojo.com for the BO information.--L.E./le@put.com/12.144.5.2 19:09, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
After some discussion, we've decided the box office numbers must be sourced as per MediaWiki policy. I understand its available in many places, but there has to be a particular source for the information or else there's nothing keeping people from knowing the validity of it. Its fine if its a different site each time you update, although it doesn't really need to be updated daily. This would be a silly reason for us to lose a good editor like yourself, so please reconsider. If you have any further questions feel free to use my talk page. Thanks. -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 02:56, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
First off, being asked for a source does not mean anyone feels you're untrustworthy. By giving a source you are not only proving that the information is correct, but also allowing other people to look up further information or the newest information if it has not been updated in a few days. I do agree that original research is an important aspect but in this case this case is not original research. If you receive the information directly from Warner Bros. than just cite them as your source, if its from another source, cite it. If you feel too strongly about citing a source than just leave the {{fact}} templates there. -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 11:10, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

Re: Dumbledore

I'm not positive about when he became headmaster - I've never done the math myself. I thought I had seen a source with it - but its very possible I'm wrong. Change it. Do we definitly know if Armando Dippet was directly before him? The headmasters are all a bit fuzzy to me. And in terms of mdashes, they're used on everyone's succession - that's why I'm saying they should be used (for uniformity). Though I do think they look better than just a -. -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 05:28, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Dippet is referred to in the text as "Dumbledore's predecessor",no explicit "immediate" but it may be inferred.I hate all instances of over-formatting (I use a text browser) and replace HTML dashes with ASCII dashes wherever I amend.--L.E./le@put.com/12.144.5.2 17:52, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
I'm not sure it could be considered over formatting, and for the vast majority of the users it probably looks better. But if you want to change them, go ahead. I don't think its ever referred to that Dumbledore starts in 1956, but in HBP we find out that Dippet was gone by 1956. I'd look it up, but I don't have my books near me. Not positive still though. -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 18:30, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
