Our lovely Emma Watson, who of course plays Hermione, was attending Brown University before taking a leave to promote the last Harry Potter movie. Lately, there's been rumors floating around that part of the reason Emma left was because she was bullied at the Ivy League University! Could it be??
The short answer is no. Emma Watson laid the rumors to rest by stating that she loved Brown and no one bullied her.
On her official website: "I felt the need to let you all know the reason I took a semester off from Brown had nothing to do with bullying as the media have been suggesting recently.
The rumors come from an incident where a student yelled out, "10 points to Gryffindor" when Emma answered a question in class...which apparently never happened at all. She states that students at Brown were gracious and made her feel comfortable, never singling her out.
“I feel the need to say this because accusing Brown students of something as serious as bullying and this causing me to leave seems beyond unfair,” she continues. As for next year, “Please don't try and speculate about what I might do in September—no one can possibly know because I don't even know yet!”
