  • Support: Molly Weasley is a fairly important character in the Harry Potter series. Some of you may may think: "Oh, she's not important!". She is. After all, she did kill Voldemort's best lieutenant, Bellatrix Lestrange. User:Ahoskinson 95 24:00, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

  • Oppose It's missing a lot of useful information -- including sources of what books the locket is in, etc. It also does not conform to the layout guide. Argument: Articles are featured for their quality, not because a particular character is liked or had a certain role in the series (see the Wiki policy on Featured Articles).   • Oppose: I think the time line feels wierd, we learn everything about Snape in the same order as in the books but I think we should learn them as they happened to him. (First Dumbledore convices him to kill him, then he makes the wow, then he kills him. Not: he makes the wow, he kills him, then we find out it was already decided.) Thats how we learn about the other characters, and I know it's different with Snape because we didn't find out, for sure, until the wery end if he was good or bad, but it would be more interesting to have everything told, as it happened to him. This is about him, right?

Argument: First of all, I don't think a tiny thing like that is enough reason to oppose an article being featured — especially since you can edit or at least discuss the issue if you think it's problematic. Secondly, it's highly likely that Crabbe is a pure-blood — Irma Crabbe, presumably a relative, married Pollux Black and is the mother of Walburga Black, and thus is obviously a pure-blood; otherwise her children wouldn't have been and Pollux would have been disowned for the marriage. Given that Vincent Crabbe is related to the House of Black, is the son of a Death Eater, is friends with a Malfoy, and actively served Voldemort during the Battle of Hogwarts (even if he didn't have the Mark), it's very likely he is a pure-blood. The article is for "First Year" (in general), not Harry Potter's 1st year... although i agree that it may help to describe the important events may happen during a First Year of a Hogwarts student.   • Provisional oppose: I'm with Jayce on this one. I think there are a number of areas in the article that are in need of attention. The order in which information and pictures are presented doesn't strike me as entirely logical. For instance, there is a picture of the German stadium in the section on the Hogwarts pitch, and a picture of the Hogwarts pitch in the section on the Quidditch World Cup. It is also confusing to mention that Hogwarts has its own pitch in the "Usage" section after describing said pitch in the "Decoration" section. There should probably be a single, comprehensive section on the Hogwarts pitch, which describes its location, appearance, and use. A great way to expand the article a little more would be to add descriptions of all the stadiums from the Quidditch World Cup game to the "Known Quidditch Pitches" section. Also, the Quidditch World Cup game and the Potter novels shouldn't be mentioned in "International Pitches," as all sections except "Behind the scenes" should be written from an in-universe perspective. The introduction also needs to be expanded and should summarize information from throughout the entire article; information on the dimensions and layout of a typical pitch should probably be moved to a new section with a title like "Description." ★ Starstuff (Owl me!) 10:05, 1 May 2009 (UTC)

  1. Be well-written and detailed.
  2. Be unbiased, non-point of view.
  3. Be sourced with all available sources and appearances.
  4. Follow the Layout Guide and all other policies on the Harry Potter Wiki. -- Does so.
  5. Following the review process, be stable, i.e. it does not change significantly from day to day and is not the subject of ongoing edit wars. This does not apply to vandalism and protection or semi-protection as a result of vandalism.
  6. Not be tagged with any sort of improvement tags (i.e. more sources, expand, etc).
  7. Have a proper lead that gives a good summary of the topic and can be used for the front page featured box.
  8. Have significant information from all sources and appearances, especially a biography for character articles.
  9. Be completely referenced for all available material and sources.
  10. Have all quotes and images sourced.

It has pretty much all of these things. You may argue that it should "include a reasonable number of images of sufficient quality to illustrate the article", but this is only if said images are available and I have been able to include images in the relashionships. It has both an personality and traits and magical skills and abilities sections. I have made it have an proper lead that gives a good summary of the topic and can be used for the front page featured box. It has an leading quote at the beginning of the article that is an quotable dialogue about the subject. It is also completely sourced and referenced as well as having many quotes in the body of the article.
