- "And some old witch in Bath had a book that you could never stop reading! You just had to wander around with your nose in it, trying to do everything one-handed."
- — Ron Weasley regarding this book[src]
This bewitched book was owned by an unnamed witch who lived in Bath. This book, once began, could never be put down or closed. The reader would be forced to wander around reading the book and trying to do their everyday tasks with one hand.
History[]
Ron mentioned this book when he expressed his concern of Harry Potter looking at Tom Riddle's Diary, which the pair had just found in Myrtle Warren's bathroom.[1]
During the 2009–2010 school year, Robyn Thistlethwaite told a student that her mother told her about the witch from Bath and this cursed book, when Kevin Farrell fell into a trance after he bought a book from Knockturn Alley that was similarly bewitched.[2]
