This creature was owned by Rubeus Hagrid and lived in his hut. It was a plant-creature a Mandrake-like appearance.

It was said to be a dangerous creature, as Hagrid hid it under a tea towel when the Committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures, including Albus Dumbledore, Cornelius Fudge and Walden Macnair the Executioner, arrived for the disposal of Buckbeak the Hippogriff some days after Hagrid's hearing with the Hogwarts Board of Governors.
