Biography
Second Wizarding War
This Death Eater stalled the Hogwarts Express on 1 September, 1997, in order to search the train for Harry Potter. At the time, Hogwarts was under the control of Lord Voldemort. However, he was unsuccessful in his search for Potter, as he, along with Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, were on a mission to find and destroy Voldemort's Horcruxes at the time, and did not return to Hogwarts for their final year of education at the school.
Later, after the infiltration into Gringotts, he was seen along with another Death Eater with their wands drawn.
Finally, he was killed by Lord Voldemort in Malfoy Manor, when his master was informed by goblins working in Gringotts, that Harry Potter and his friends, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, stole Helga Hufflepuff's Cup from the Lestrange Vault.
Behind the scenes
- The Death Eater is portrayed by Jon Campling in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 and in Part 2.
- It is possible that this Death Eater is Travers. In an interview, Jon Campling stated that he was working with Helena Bonham Carter, Rupert Grint, and Warwick Davis.[1] It is possible this refers to the break-in at Gringotts, at which Travers was present beforehand.
