Twirl,[1] in Quidditch, refers to the whirling about of the broomstick, in attempt to dodge something, usually either a player or a Bludger.[2]

In the Gryffindor vs. Slytherin match in 1992, Gryffindor Seeker Harry Potter was forced to do a "stupid kind of twirl in midair" in order to dodge the Rogue Bludger.[2]
