Seven of the Twelve Christmas Trees in the Great Hall.
Twelve Christmas Trees were brought in by Rubeus Hagrid each year to decorate the Great Hall of Hogwarts Castle at Christmas. They were very tall compared to normal trees and were adorned with spectacular ornaments.
Behind the scenes
- In the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Professor Flitwick is seen levitating decorations on to a Christmas tree.
- In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Prefects are shown helping decorate these trees.
- In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the trees along with garlands of holly and tinsel that were twisted around the banisters of stairs, everlasting candles that decorated the interior of Suits of Armour and bunches of mistletoe were put up to decorate the castle for the holidays.
