Tubeworms are a general group of any worm-like aquatic creatures that secrete a mineral tube around their body that they can curl into for protection.[1] At least one species of tubeworm can be used as a potion ingredient. Harry Potter had to stay behind in a Potions class in November of 1992 to scrape tubeworms off a desk.[2]
