Musical instrument

The tuba is the largest and lowest-pitched of the brass instruments.[1] Tubas were played by Muggles[2] and witches and wizards[3][4] alike.

The Exploding Tuba was a type of magical tuba.[3] In 1902, a performance of the Wizarding Suite by Musidora Barkwith (which included an Exploding Tuba) blew the roof off the Town Hall of Ackerley, leading the piece to be banned.[3]

During the Third Task of the Triwizard Tournament in 1995, Filius Flitwick conducted a musical performance by a band consisting of Hogwarts students, which included tubas.[4]

Two Muggle men were seen playing silver tubas on the Millenium Bridge moments before it was attacked by Death Eaters in 1996.[2]
