The tree animating jinx was a jinx that made trees come alive, walk with their roots and violently cause destructions and injure creatures, even killing them.
This jinx was used by Niko Nenad and several Dark Wizards to animate an entire forest at the final of the 1809 Quidditch World Cup in Siberia. Among the deaths caused by the trees was Niko Nenad himself. The event would later become known as the Attack of the Killer Forest.
Behind the scenes
- It is possible that the book series Wanderings of a Tree in the Alps is about a tree enchanted with this spell or a related one.
- The effects of this spell may have been based on Ents, sentient walking trees from J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings.
