Transforming Spells are Transfiguration Spells of unknown incantation; they are used to perform Transformation Magic. They can, as Fourth Year students of Transfiguration learned, be adapted to perform Cross-Species Switches; the class had to write an essay on how Transforming Spells must be adapted to perform Cross-Species Switches.^[1]
