The Transforming rabbit is a rabbit that can transform into a silk top hat at will. It is fat and white in its rabbit form and is made of black silk in its hat form.

The rabbit in question was on sale in the magical pet shop, Magical Menagerie, in 1993 when Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger entered.

Behind the scenesEdit

• It is unknown whether this is an entirely different species, or just a normal rabbit enchanted to transform. The former is most likely, as the rabbit is transforming at will, and so must have some magical ability.
• The creature is a reminiscent of the Muggle trick in which a magician pulls a rabbit out of a top hat. It is unknown whether the rabbit is the only one of its kind or if there are others.
